- Home Free always does a great job, so it should have been no surprise, when they came out with their performance of Mary Did You Know, that this one would not be any different. It was a home run from, out of the gate.

Yeah, I grew up hearing Kenny and Wynnona singing this, and thought it was just fantastic.

While this cover is ranked right up there as far as I'm concerned they are a very very very close 2nd to the Voctave featuring Mark Lowry version. Mark Lowry is the writer of the song. If you've never seen this particular version you must check it out.

Adam is doing his thing with the beatboxing and Chance with the bass drops are amazing. The trio vocals as always are outstanding along with the harmonies.

dark liquid chocolate, fantastic. It's also always fascinating how the
guys can switch roles. Chance is great with his bass line. And Adam's

Hey Dan...I love the R&B sounding beat this has, it's different, especially for Home Free. I also like that Chance got a chance to be featured as the "bass guy"....he has matured as a bass singer.
They've been doing some decent R&B sounds lately, or R&B hybrid. That's definitely where they sound at home as well!

Unique and singularly beautiful arrangement. This was classic Home Free taking an old boring song and freshening it up So hats off to them. Please react to Cold Hard Cash, Warmest Winter, Full of Cheer and Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, all outstanding Christmas songs by HF.
Warmest Winter is already done. Unfortunately, I can likely only do one more of those. All are on my list. I just don't have the time to get them all.

I love that you love Mark Lowry! I’ve been a fan of his for 25 years. He’s so funny that I think sometimes people forget how great he sings! Home Free did a great job with this song.

I’m pretty sure Chance covered bass through the whole song, but I could be mistaken. Adam killed the percussion (as always, but this was stellar level)! The vocals were outstanding, too! On to the next one!
Love Home Free’s rendition and Chance’s bass! If you haven’t already, please react to Voctave’s version of Mary, Did You Know featuring Mark Lowry - who as you mentioned wrote the lyrics. It’s amazing to hear how the author interprets his song. You will NOT be disappointed.
I will not be reacting to it, as I have heard it several times since it came out like 5 years ago.
If chance didn't do all of the bass he did almost all of it, like he normally does when Tim is taking the lead or harmonizing. Chance has been doing the bass more in the songs. I love how they all have such range that you don't know who is going to do what part.

I almost didn't want to hear it, because I had heard and loved the other versions out there and didn't want to be disappointed by my boys. Well, of course I wasn't. Everything great about it has been said. I just wonder if you have listed to Voctave's version featuring Mark Lowery? It is really great, as well.
I have. Voctave has been a group I've been interested in since well before I started this channel. And I'm a fan of Mark Lowery as a writer and Comedian first and foremost. It was him that turned me on to that version of the song, as he mentioned it in a video he did on his channel, this time last year, and was interested as it was one of a few of Voctave's performances at the time I hadn't heard.

I love this, and it immediately became one of my favourite top 3 performances of this song. I first heard it from Straight No Chaser, the live acoustic version they did in a church, and fell in love with it and them. My other favourite is by the Hound and the Fox, a much more stripped down version with them and piano - all three are beautiful performances and all very different.
This is off the subject but in Canada, Thanksgiving is in October - I've never really understood why the U.S. has it in November. I can't imagine (unless the climate was a helluva lot different in New England in November) anyone harvesting in November . . . I love Home Free's version of this song! If you haven't had a chance to see it Home Free, The Oak Ridge Boys and Jeffrey East do an amazing rendition of Beautiful Star of Bethlehem.
