Hi John, I have watched this video 2hrs after you posted it, but I didn't get a chance to comment until now. First of all, thank you for acknowledging the Sacred Family in Barcelona. I am glad I previously mentioned it to you so that you could correct it in your following video/this one). Secondly, you have made me happy that I finally found someone that would mix all the bags in a gigantic puzzle and would post their progress on TH-cam. Not only have you been doing that but have taken it to a much higher organizational (table construction, cardboards,, time spent on puzzle, and much more) and technological (image blown up on PC) level. You also made it exciting by having a list of "guessers" on when they think you may have it completed. With all the above being said, happiness only takes a little to trigger it in puzzling! Thanks, John!!!
John, thank you for this great series. I have been following you very closely. I am sorry that I have not commented much lately. I find your fortitude to be amazing. I have the same puzzle and not sure when I am going to get around to doing it. Like you I feel that this is a puzzle that should be mixed. The challenge is where to do it and do I have the space to tie up for for over a year. I am enjoying watching your methodology and approach to this. I look forward to every new episode. I am guessing that your completion date will be July 10. 2024. It may be unfair that I have waited so long to make a guess. I have this puzzle in Canada and I am in Thailand right now. It is becoming apparent that I am going to have to get the puzzle to Thailand, as I don't see that I am going to be able to do it in Canada. If I do decide to mix it when I get to it, you will be the first to know.
@livingin2worlds137 Hi Russell, No problem on not commenting for a while, I thought that you were probably in Thailand as it is winter in Canada. I am really looking forward to more of your series on the NYC skyline, I really like the picture on that puzzle. And enjoyed the house build videos in world number two. I will put your guess in the book. Mixed or not, I would love to see you do it so I can see what your strategy is for putting it together and how it differs from how we went about it. I'm sure that it wouldn't take you as long as it will us. If I remember right, you also have the 33,600 piece wildlife puzzle (pre-mixed for you) so you have some big puzzles waiting for you. Enjoy the warm weather, john
@jamieflitton3886 Hi and thanks for watching, we will probably take a break for a little while and then see what puzzle we want to do next. Mom was already wondering about the next puzzle. john
Wonderful progress John! looking good! '2 women fighting over shoes' you are a scream! I also use the phrase ' pay no attention to that man behind the curtain' in my own life LOL
@BethJedrzejewski-ue9gs Hi again and thanks, my wife loves that movie. I get a kick out of the Pink Floyd/Wizard of Oz sync. It is amazing how well it matches up. Roger Waters says it's just a coincidence, but it really does match up, john
Just found your channel and enjoyed getting caught up over the weekend. I’m really glad you’re sharing this and it’s been very interesting to see all the intricacies of the puzzle. You are very methodical. I would like to know what you did for a living. I especially enjoyed your story about guessing the passcode to your safe. Keep up the good work.
@NatalieinIdaho Hi and thanks so much for watching. I worked in a woodshop for 35 years. I worked out in the shop putting kitchen cabinet doors together. I retired a few years ago. I don't miss work but I do miss the people, I go up sometimes and hang out with the guys and girls at lunch time. Figuring out the safe combination was made a little easier because I knew the last number, but I spent months of evenings after work and weekends going through combinations. I wish that I would have kept track of how many hours it took me. I have it written down about five places now. If you are from Idaho, that is beautiful country out there, I have an in-law who lives in Rexburg. Thanks again, john
@@puzzlemethis. I’m just 40 miles south of Rexburg. It sounds like you get all over on your bikes, and you reminded me that it’s about time for me to take another trip to Yellowstone myself! I’ve got decades until I retire but you seem to have found a good life: puzzle all winter, play hard in the summer.
@cindycrewsbeach72 Hi again and thanks, Yes, the sky seemed to take a long time, but I am glad that I did it, but I still have 4 cardboards of sky pieces left, so I still have some yet to go. But what is done really does looks good, john
@@puzzlemethis. I’ll bet those pieces go somewhere else in the end. It’s always that way in a puzzle, isn’t it? I’m just so impressed on the progress and your dedication to finishing it. It’s inspiring! Happy puzzlingly!
This glass is well and truly half full already. When I first saw the current state of the puzzle, I thought wow, you'd made great progress in the last month. I think it will be done by the 1st of July. Keep up the good work.
Awesome progress! I'm so jealous of that table, you can do just about any other puzzle you want on it after this one. I just finished a 5K piece puzzle and the top and bottom edges were just about hanging off my dining room table. Thats as far as I can go without any big boards. Keep up the great work!!
@cilibrasi1040 Hi and thanks for watching, yes, the table should be ready for the next puzzle, unless it's bigger, then I'll have to add to it. We will probably take a break and then decide what puzzle to work on next. Congratulations on the 5,000 piece puzzle. 5,000 piece puzzles are big and take up a lot of room, especially on your dinning room table. (But eating is overrated, puzzling is important😁) john
I think it looks nearly done. Just a few white spots here and there. So exciting to see the Europe part getting completed. I have seen Many of these landmarks in person ❤ Thanks for mentioning the city I live in at 13:45
@tinkerbellarocks Hi again, it feels like we are getting it filled in but there are a few big empty white spots yet, it will be nice when there are only little white spots left. Mom can trace her family tree back to Germany, but I'm not sure where in Germany. You probably notice me mispronouncing the names of things over there, sorry. It would be cool to go on tours of some of the castles over there, john
We watch you each month at bedtime. There's no way that we'll be putting our puzzle together until tomorrow 😂. You've done will since the last video; we think you've made huge progress. The overview shot of your long table looks as though the jigsaw is filling up nicely. Our current puzzle is a huge 😅 1000 pieces 😊. Be fully blessed, you and yours. We're a couple of octogenarians from Kent, South East England. 😊
@allandavies9862 Hi and thanks. Watching me at bedtime might give you nightmares!! Mom and Dad are also in their 80's. You're from across the pond, blessings to you and yours also, from Pennsylvania, USA
Progress is looking Great John! Great work! The new camera angle is good! I certainly hope there are not many missing pieces. That would be a shame after all your hard work. Seems like this puzzle helps with geography lessons. .
@firespyder00 Hi and thanks, I wish I could get more of the puzzle in the picture, I keep trying different angles. I hope we don't have any missing pieces either, but after all this time puzzling there might be, but they should be here somewhere, The puzzle does help with geography, but I still have trouble pronouncing some of the names, john
@melindakollar1439 Hi and thanks, Yes all of the signs are finally on the table now. Wow, you live a long distance away, greetings from Pennsylvania, USA

I find this build just fascinating! I could never do it - I don't have the patience. I didn't guess a finish date but I imagine you finishing it late this year. I'll be watching your progress for sure. 😊
@thegoodchicken1078 Hi again and thanks, Mom wondered a couple of months ago what puzzle we were going to do next. She, and all of us, like the family and friends together time. We will probably take a break and then see which one we want to do next. I have seen some hard 1,000 piece puzzles, john
I really think, that i have guess in some of summer video, but i didnt saw it now. MY TIP: 26. september 2024. I really enjoy your journey, i watch your puzzling from the start. Keep puzzling and have fun! Greetings from Slovakia!
@sarahsingleton9142 Hi and thanks. I hope we are done before Feb. of 2025, but we're not sure if it will get easier or harder as we go, so far it has gotten easier, but we will probably end up with all green or shadow pieces, so we'll have to see, john
15:16 Great progress - but I'm pretty sure that one lonesome piece that connects the red Street Sign it needs to go in the empty spot of the next row to the right and the chunk with the Sign hs to come down a little but it should connect with that chunk with that butterfly. Maybe two rows down and it should fit.
Well spotted! The grey roof with the butterfly and the grey roof with the red street sign already tightly connect to each other along a column of 5 pieces instead of only the single connecting piece that is in place now. The connecting piece and everything that is attached on its left (i.e., the red sign) has to move one row right and one row down. I think John has to add us in his book with 15 minutes each. 😂 Just joking, don't do it, John!
@soldiertwoface3690 WOW again, you were right, I changed it around and it fit. You and logicmastersteve both found something we had wrong this time. By the way, I did put you and logicmastersteve in the book for 15 minutes, much appreciated, john
Hi John, I found your channel a couple of days ago and binge watched all of the episodes. When I saw you mixing all of the pieces together in episode one, I thought you were crazy, but you are doing it! My guess for completion date is September 6, 2024 - my birthday.
@debbiepyleverhoeven5234 Hi, and thanks for watching. If you watched all the past videos in a row and stayed awake, you are a real puzzle-aholic. I will put your guess in the book, john
I have been watching since the very beginning and love seeing your progress. I thought I had made a guess for the ending date but didn't see my name, so if it is not too late I would like to guess 9/24/24
@maryjaneellinger1783 Hi and thanks so much for watching. I just looked in the book and didn't see you either so I wrote you and your guess in the book, john
Good progress! The initial shot (the overview) of the puzzle made me think you will surely be finished by summer. Might well be, but in the closeups the holes look much bigger so my guess of 11/11/2024 could still prove correct. :-) I am very sure that you will finish in 2024. No way this will last till 2025. I find it funny that while watching your video I always try to "puzzle" and find at least one piece that I can place. Usually I fail. But this time, around timestamp 14:38 your fingers are pointing in the direction of some false fits near the blue roof of the Prague building. Not sure how to repair it, though. But there are at least 2 pieces that have to move down two rows because they fit elsewhere. 🙂
I have found the way to repair the problematic area. The blue roof at 14:35 is not 5 rows high but only 4 rows. The one piece that connects the upper part of the roof to the lower part of the roof is placed wrongly (as a matter of fact, it perfectly fits in the upper hole of the roof). Then you can connect the whole roof by moving it one row downwards. I find it always satisfying in my own puzzles if I can correct such small mistakes (because they happen all the time) and as a consequence an area that seemed difficult to solve becomes finished, all of a sudden. Happy puzzling, John!
@LogicMasterSteve WOW!!! I cant believe you can pick that stuff out from the video. I just went up and looked and you were right, it looked so obvious after I knew what to look for, but I wonder how long it would have taken us to figure it out. I moved the pieces down and it all fits now as it should, thanks so much, john
It’s looking great. I reckon you’ve got about half the pieces in, and you’ve probably got 3000+ in during January. I think you’re on course to finish on or about 25 April this year. Once you’ve only got 5000 pieces to go I suspect you’ll completely blitz it.
@richarddavy-smith6626 Hi and thanks, I'll put your guess in the book. We are thinking it should go faster as we get closer to the end too, but it might be all shadow or green pieces left, so we could be wrong, we'll have to see, john
Thats a great puzzle...this is definitely something for me...😊 my Question is...where do you hang it? or CAN you hang it somewere at all? greetings from Germany Anna
@Anna-jm9bk Hi and thanks for watching, I have seen a couple of videos on TH-cam of this puzzle hanging on a wall, but I have no idea how they managed to do it. I will leave mine together for a while and then take it apart in sections that will fit back into the box. That way I can put it together in a hurry or take it all apart again if I want to. Greetings from Pennsylvania, john
A suggestion i have as a casual viewer. if at the end of your videos you could show where the puzzle was at the end of the last video followed by where it is currently it would help to show the progress you are making. Im tempted to buy this for my mother but the 3000 piece Where's Waldo puzzle took up the dining room table longer than my father liked.
@isualum13 Hi and thanks for the good idea, I'll try to do that at the end of the next video. Those Waldo puzzles look hard, so much of the same color, john
@juliecolwell6813 Hi and no, I had not thought of that. I wish I had when we started, The UPS store probably does that, maybe I will take them down there and get it done, it would keep them from getting in worse shape. Thanks for the idea, john
@watchman9198 Hi, I'm not good at editing and video work, if I did videos every week I wouldn't have much time to puzzle. I agree with you though, the youtubers I watch, I wish they would post more often, but doing it myself now, I realize how much time it takes. john
@@puzzlemethis. John after you beat this puzzle you need to do a 60,000 piece with mixed bags. Also have you ever done the 24000 piece one before “life the greatest puzzle” I need to do that one
@watchman9198 I really like the picture on the 24,000 piece life puzzle, I haven't done it, but it looks like it would be fun. The 60,000 piece Dowdle puzzle looks like it would be hard, all the little people and little buildings. I did watch Judy's (www.youtube.com/@Addicted2Puzzles/videos ) series on it and it is a neat puzzle.
Thats a great puzzle...this is definitely something for me...😊 my Question is...where do you hang it? or CAN you hang it somewere at all?
greetings from Germany
Anna
@Anna-jm9bk Hi and thanks for watching, I have seen a couple of videos on TH-cam of this puzzle hanging on a wall, but I have no idea how they managed to do it. I will leave mine together for a while and then take it apart in sections that will fit back into the box. That way I can put it together in a hurry or take it all apart again if I want to. Greetings from Pennsylvania, john
Amazing Progress!! , looking very good! I would place a guess for 9/03/24
@tony--james Hi and thanks, I'll put your guess in the book, john
A suggestion i have as a casual viewer. if at the end of your videos you could show where the puzzle was at the end of the last video followed by where it is currently it would help to show the progress you are making.
Im tempted to buy this for my mother but the 3000 piece Where's Waldo puzzle took up the dining room table longer than my father liked.
@isualum13 Hi and thanks for the good idea, I'll try to do that at the end of the next video. Those Waldo puzzles look hard, so much of the same color, john
Can make the video longer
@IrvingBlackwell Hi again, I try to keep the videos around 20 minutes long, but some go longer then that.
Hi John, have you thought of laminating the pages of the book and the posters that you have?
@juliecolwell6813 Hi and no, I had not thought of that. I wish I had when we started, The UPS store probably does that, maybe I will take them down there and get it done, it would keep them from getting in worse shape. Thanks for the idea, john
The puzzle is longer than my NYC apartment!
@bb57nyc Hi, thanks for watching, and I believe you!!!
That’s great progress. My guess is 13/02/25 (13 February 2025). Good luck!
@Paul_1976 Hi and thanks, I'll write your guess down in the book.
Love it! My guess is 9/13/24
@kaiserstochter9635 Hi and thanks, I will put your guess in the book, john
12 June 2024 is my guess! The completion date doesn't really matter as long as you are having fun!
@ayeshariyaz9355 Hi, I'll put your guess in the book, and yes, we are having fun
8/20/24
@IrvingBlackwell Hi, I'll put your guess in the book, john
Hello John I am thinking you will finish on 9/9/2024 I am from Australia, 😊 good luck
@olguita5207 Hi and thanks, I will put you in the book, Greetings from Pennsylvania, john
Just finished our 1000 pc puzzle, took two months :D
@proceduraldad2578 Hi, I have seen some hard 1,000 piece puzzles, as long as you enjoyed it (hopefully you did), that's what counts, john
I have a feeling that my guess of March may be a bit overconfident 😅
Maybe you need to send a fridge full of Red Bull, so it gets along faster :D
@HarryJSmith I have been drinking plenty of Dr. Pepper, maybe that will help, john
Can you give weekly updates instead. I don’t care if you make progress I just like content to listen to and watch ahah
Also crazy puzzle chick ( www.youtube.com/@crazypuzzlechick ) just started doing it, I think she has maybe 3 videos so far.
I guess date end of puzzle : 7 december 2O24
@bernardgeldof5365 Hi, I'll put your guess down in the book, john
