Mate, I have just been offered a job in Japan and I am really considering it. It's a tough decision moving there at 38, but learning a language and living in Asia seems like such a great experience. Your videos have been great with stuff to do with hair, but the adventuring to China side has also been a nice motivator!
First of all, good thing you’ll be in Japan. They are very kind people unlike other Asian countries. Second, you have one life so experience it best you can. If you don’t like it, move home. You can always tell people “I worked in Japan”

I started watching youtube back in 2009 at the age of 21, and i used to love those simple videos of people leaving abroad, especially in Japan, sharing their lives with the public. I fell out of love with them over the years due to the pretentious way most people talk, act and edit their content. I know ur youtube channel is mostly about supporting men that lose their hair (which i find amazing!) but u really should make more videos just like this one, in exactly the same way! No pretentiousness, no obtuse intro, no fast editing etc. You have made me follow a channel fanatically after soooo many years! Keep up the good work, you really are an amazing person!! p.s Your generosity towards the barber was amazing, greeting from Greece!

I have been planning on doing this myself for a long time now and I will probably get started this year. I´ve been in China for 10 years now and my major was Chinese language

I’m in ChingQing now which is famous for being very foggy. It’s a good place. Man, quite a few thoughts on the hair right now. Honestly the top thought though is that it feels good to rock the hair that the mere though if it looking like this had me frozen with insecurity. Honestly I kinda rock it right now as some kind of amusing F U to my previous self if that makes sense. It’s like a reminder to never doubt myself that hard ever again. Like… to think I once thought not having a full head of hair would make me less in some way, or would stop me from doing things I wanted is an absolute insult to myself.

I’m in WanZhou ChongQing. The barbers accent is incredibly strong. He is also speaking a lot of local dialect it is even a little difficult for me and I’ve only ever been in ChongQing 😂 good luck with the studying. Keep it up. Mine really took off about 2 years in.

This channel has helped me a lot with my own hair loss and making me feel more comfortable with the person I’ll eventually be (Ive always been “that” hot guy with perfect hair and in the last two years I have easily lost 40%). I’ll see what I can do I tired various things. I will say this though (hear me out) moving to the place where the language is spoken and living there for as long as is reasonable is an absolute fast ticket to learning the language. You are fully immersed and practicing at every opportunity. Nothing is comparable. And if you can’t move. Try to recreate such an environment any way you can. Nothing will beat that 🤝
My head is telling me I really need to get that out for the new year! I think I’ve been overthinking it to be honest because I wanted it to be a real banger but now I think I’d like to simply state exactly what worked for me 👍
I’m sure many people hold this same view. Since living here I’ve learned you simply can’t view it through a “western” lease. It’s just not at all comparable it will drive you mad trying to find reasons why things are different etc

I went there once and I absolutely loved it. If it’s an opportunity for you to challenge yourself and grow then I say go for it brother!
