      +Chris Lowe are you really that ignorant? You can see it everywhere he can't even keep his own cabinet in line let alone his party. Many of his party are even openly anti Corbyn which is something unheard of. Not only that but he can't even do the Pm question without looking like he is going to cry.

      We are only taking 20,000 in the next FIVE YEARS. This is nothing compared to other European countries. Britain needs to open it's doors to the people in need but xenophobia had been cast on the British public by UKIP. Sorry for the rant being so long :P

      +Harry Why do 4,000 people come here a year surely they should stay in there country and if there is a problem in there country (Isis as an example) they should destroy the source of the problem

    • @krashd
      @krashd 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Daniel Cameron They come here for a better life, and that doesn't just mean benefits, for most of them it means the ability to work honestly and raise their family without fear of religious, racial or any other persecution, without fear of death, or disease and a myriad of other things that may or may not exist where they are. In Syria the opposition to ISIS are the government of Assad who is killing everyone in order to quell a rebellion and who are killing more people than ISIS are, then there's the rebels who are being slaughtered by both Assad/Russia and ISIS and who are getting no support from any one except a handful of US airstrikes and the local Kurds who they have 100 years of animosity with and who are too busy trying to protect themselves to worry about people who have denied them a free Kurdistan.
      Why do some Brits move to America and some Americans move here? They believe a better life will be had. At the moment Syria is a battlefield of a dozen factions and a stray shell from any of them could wipe out all of your children on any day if you were to stay there.
      If the empty house next to me had a choice between someone happy to live on the dole and who lets their kids do as they please OR a family of Syrians glad to have work and raising their kids to do well at school it would be no contest for me. Call me whatever the latest derogatory term for a liberal is, but I would be it, I'd pick the family that were going to contribute to this great country I'm so proud of.
      In fact I would even offer to collect them from the station and ask if a boat could take the dole scum and his waste-of-space children to Syria in return.

      +AFGuidesHD Which would be witty if not for the fact that Caroline Lucas was voted Constituency MP of the Year by her less-conscientious peers. The one thing you can be sure of, whatever your attitude to her politics, is that she will not be skiving and that she will always be where she is supposed to be, for her constituents. She actually increased her majority in 2015, and that was in spite of much local dissatisfaction with a Green-led council at the time.

    As much as I despise your politics this was actually a piece of masterful satire. If you could create a documentary-style series like this I would certainly enjoy it. Just make sure to cut out the bit after 2:36, that was really silly; and also satire yourself now and again along with the other smaller parties.

    • @Crewedaddy
      @Crewedaddy 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      +Alex Boston Expand on why you "despise" their politics? At the very least, what is despicable about wanting a clean world not run on greed? Because sure as anything you're not getting it with this bunch of venal and mendacious pocket liners.

    • @alexboston343
      @alexboston343 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Crewedaddy Because of their ignorance to the bigger picture. Sure, they care about the environment, I care about the environment -- but only to the extent to where to remains beneficial to our nation. Unnaturally forcing an economy-wrecking policy base to 'save the environment' will most likely achieve naught but push people to right where we will consume and produce more fossil fuels to get our economy back on track. I am about doing good rather than doing what feels good. Improvements can be made on Tory policy as well, I admit that, but not to the extent the Greens need it. Good day.

    • @pudboy123456
      @pudboy123456 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      funnily enough Alex you may want to look into tidal energy - it was invented in the UK you know? your government is currently banging on about investing in technology as being our economic future. as for your fossil fuel comment - you seem to fail to realise that our gas comes from Europe which is why we have millions shivering at home this winter. if prices continue to rise as they are then using our own fossil fuels will become essential at some point. and that will be sad - because we don't really have many fossil fuels left - north sea oil wont last forever and fracking has already been proven to be a total disaster in the US. and no - I have never voted for the green party before you accuse me. but I am absolutely certain that there is a lot of money to be made in renewables. and for an island like ours - we could really profit big from this.

    Well done, thank you Green Party for this great insight to politics. It's a shame we didn't see the green party in the video but I suppose only 1 MP would be pretty boring to watch. At least there is no infighting with one person!
    In my opinion, the Green Party shouldn't be poking fun at the two main parties as the Greens will never NEVER get into power. More chance of Nicola Sturgeon becoming Prime Minister.

      Aaron CASA-GRANDE I was waiting for someone to tell me that I won't become PM.
      Obviously I won't.
      But some people will be worse and better than others! Whilst there are a few people who have the chance to take control over the country, let's just choose the best for the job? I know that the Green party will not do a good job of running a country, albeit the United Kingdom.
      The problem with a lot of people is that they are voting for the people who they like the most and how many benefits ect they dish out. As a country we need to be electing people who will run the country like a business, seeking economic growth first, not (I'm sorry, but) welfare and social goods. As we have found out from previous labour governments, giving everyone benefits for doing nothing only loses money .

      The Green Party is 100% against TTIP. The Green Party wants EU reform, they are just not naive enough to believe that anything actually changes by leaving if you want to maintain trade.

    • @richardwatson5740
      @richardwatson5740 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** it's worth reading policy.greenparty.org.uk/eu.html
      In many ways I agree with your argument but I draw very difficult conclusions. There might well come a time under a green government (were one to exist) that the UK could leave the EU, but that would mean that the necessary reform could not be made to happen.
      Can you name a country which trades with the EU that doesn't relinquish control of at least some of its trade policy? There really is no incentive for the EU to allow the UK to sell in the EU without some kind of tariff imposed unless we (like Norway) agree to full access and movement of goods.
      Have a read of www.niesr.ac.uk/blog/after-brexit-how-important-would-uk-trade-be-eu#.VwVHoKDTXqA the EU takes nearly 50 percent of our exports.
      We have been trying to get reform but not the kind we need, and not the kind the greens want. The UK government is a strong proponent of TTIP, so I'm not at all sure our trade policy is safe in their hands. I've been trying to explain TTIP to my mp and he remains oblivious.
      So if we're going to leave let's leave with a plan and after trying out the alternatives. The EU could be great following the model in the green party manifesto.
