Man, you're one busy guy. Good to do it while your young, full of energy and hopefully you don't have to go thru any major drama in your marriage. That can often destroy everything. Good job and good luck.
So excited to see you guys are back!! Love all of your videos and forget anyone who talks about inconsistency, I see that you guys are looking at things in the long term, like you have always done, you're testing out new things and making adjustments when better opportunity comes up. So excited to see what you will be able to do with such an awesome setup. I would prefer a book to go along with a video course!!
Welcome Back Mike & Lauren! You have been missed. It seems that you've been very busy though! The improvements look wonderful. I'm looking forward to seeing what is to come.
Hey Buddy, I heard you said you were going to learn to TIG WELD! I work in the welding industry as a sales rep and know how to difficult it is to tig weld, so major props man! thats sick
Yay! You're back!! I love your content and it's always inspiring to see how hard you guys work at everything! The space is looking great! And congrats on your baby!
Love that we are getting content again. Bummed I didn’t have time to meet you guys while I was down your way last week. Hopefully I will get to some day. Keep the videos coming :)
Congratulations on baby girl. My time with my daughter went very fast. Remember it goes very fast the time with the kids. Please do some random nice things for mom. I know you understand how much she does. Just like me, you might not know how much she works. So be kind. Glad your back. Like the new shop and toys. Evictions as always a pain. Power thru. Til later.
Yes! Love the update. I also love they way you and your wife have designed your life. I know it can be challenging at times (at least I guess :) but its worth it in the end. My wife and I have an odd work life set up and we are glad we have done it. How do you plan to keep dust out of the nice office and electronics with it so close to your shop? Will the door be enough separation?
Every time you say 80D... I hear A.D.D. O.o lol Congrats on Parker!!! Glad your rentals are going so well despite the eviction. Storage in the size units you have are usually in high demand :)
Both! Each format appeals to different audience. Do book first, then use it as a roadmap to make a cliffnotes video series. Then make a paid course that goes into great detail about your content. Bing bang boom.
I'd love to do it that way, the problem is it's "easier" to create the video course because we have experience with it. I could buckle down and film all 100 videos in a month. Publishing a book is new territory so I estimate it will take 5-6 months to get an editor, graphic designer, book layout expert, etc.
It may seem like you have ADD, but you are in a skill acquisition phase. Just keep riding the wave of inspiration and energy. You will have dead ends and failures among all the successes, but you will keep the knowledge wisdom and skills acquired for the rest of your life. Cheers.
Hi, I'm very interested in how you acquired that building, I'm looking to do something similar in a multi-unit building and had a few questions if you don't mind: How did you find that building? What was your criteria when looking for the building? How did you organize the financing? Thanks ps love the videos!
Re: book. Think the audience might be split, you may be able to make some on ebook alone but not as much as you would via a $99 udemy class. It could prove best to do both! The shop & studio look amazing!!!
Can you do a video (or reply to this comment) about what the plan is for the trailer? Are you still going to make the front section living quarters with a shop in the back? Are you still going to do carpentourism? Or have you settled down for now? There are many more questions too! Perhaps a recap video is in order....
Great questions! Yes the trailer is still going to be set up as half living quarters half mobile workshop. I'm trying to decide now if we want to expand the living quarters with the new baby, or have a separate "bedroom" for the kids in a van or truck camper somehow attached to the trailer. I think it would be fun to have a tube connecting the two together, but I'm not sure if it's practical. Carpentourism is a fantastic word. Yes that's the winter plan along with converting a dutch barge in Europe for summers.
Mike, have you considered doing more content w/ less production value? I'm thinking back to your first videos ever, when you and Lauren simply sat in front of the camera and recap'ed your day in Europe. I'd guess your fans (esp. the original ones) would enjoy that. Wouldn't even require B-roll. Just a quick 5 min in front of the camera at end of the day talking about what you did, learned, issues, fixes, ideas, goals, & whatnots! And it would double as a sort of journal which you could reference back to in the yrs. to come. I'll preorder the book know matter how you shake it! My 1st choice would be an audible book narrated by you. And you gotta colab the release of it somehow with Hoovies Garage. :)
I definitely put to much pressure on "completing" projects before posting them. I tell myself every morning to just bring the camera around all day, but somehow never do. This past weekend, for example, I demo-ed a unit for a new tenant. I didn't think it would be interesting enough to post, but I ended up using a skid steer to demolish stuff, had a run in with a huge rat, had to find a dumpster last minute on a weekend when the trailer filled up too fast etc. I need to film and decide after if it's worth posting or not!
I dunno man, this guy bought a pretty sweet truck for $800 lol. Dunno if I would ever pay for a course or the book, but if it was how to flip them for profit...maybe people would be more interested.
I used just a regular 4.5" diamond blade from the hardware store to cut it and then a kit like this to polish it: amzn.to/2HkXYES Mini split videos are coming. I didn't want to make a video about it without understanding it myself.
looks great! plans on adding hair lights in your shop? It also seems off to have all the light coming from the top. Maybe a white ceiling in the shop instead of a black hole? Can you recommend any similar channels WRT real estate rental business? I like your coverage on it.
Hi Mike, firstly I want to say congrats on the new born. Secondly, I'm rather dissapointed seeing all the projects we didn't get to see. The AC, cutting the granite, plumbing the sink, building the office, costa rica travel etc etc. I get you've just had another child and I'm sure things are flat out. I guess my main point is I miss the consistency, I don't really mind about what the content is, I just subscribe for your personality.
I am bummed that I didn't get to see some of that stuff as well, but holy crap man, I can only imagine how much better the production quality on all the videos moving forward are going to be!!
congratulations and best wishes with #2! Busy and exciting time. Make sure you get some sleep! I'd vote for the book. Is this basically a Dave Barry style car saving thing? that one is pretty well known so you might want to distinguish yourself somehow.
Code enforcement will rip you a new one if they see that drain. Also, no bathroom? How about an eBook AND a printed book that you could sell on amazon.
BTD I think the only bathroom is shared by the units and is located in the middle of the building. I’m wondering if there is only one sewer line to the building, so that why no bathroom?
PLEASE help yourself out and toss the printer in the office...its too nasty an area for printers...even in an enclosure GREAT update though! Thanks a bunch
Man, you're one busy guy. Good to do it while your young, full of energy and hopefully you don't have to go thru any major drama in your marriage. That can often destroy everything. Good job and good luck.
Dang bro, you are a freakin magician, you do everything.... it's crazy how many different trade skills you have.
Mike and Lauren, Congrats on Parker. ANDthe thank you for the MOTIVATION. I really enjoy your channel.

Congrats on the baby girl, and the transformation of that storage unit is amazing. Top notch work.
Hey Buddy, I heard you said you were going to learn to TIG WELD! I work in the welding industry as a sales rep and know how to difficult it is to tig weld, so major props man! thats sick

Welcome back. Do Both. A book and a video series.
I'd Vote book over video series. That aircrete sounds interesting , looking forward to videos on that!
Wow that's a lot of work accomplished!
Thats a whole lot of Progress, Congrats!
Congrats on the second. So exciting to see all this stuff moving forward. Keep it up!
Nice to have you back!
Thanks god ur back hopefully you don’t disappear again
Welcome back. Great Name, my son is called Parker too! congratulations
Thanks!
Your aircrete idea peaked my interest. I'd like to hear more about that in one of your future videos.
Coming up. I did some experimenting yesterday and the results are promising.
You stay busy! Welcome back!
yeah i cant wait!
Good to see you again and congrats on the new baby girl!
Thank you!

Thanks and good question. I hope the door will be enough along with my dust collector.
WOW! What an update. You guys are really inspiring.
Every time you say 80D... I hear A.D.D. O.o lol
Congrats on Parker!!!
Glad your rentals are going so well despite the eviction. Storage in the size units you have are usually in high demand :)
Thank you!
Congratulations on baby Parker. Make a Video course

very much interested in the concrete foam dish soap video
great video, how about a audio book... Thanks and congratulations on your new baby.
Hi Mike, Love your videos. I'm curious about the mini-split install. Did you charge the system yourself?
YES! You are motivating me to retire by 40 so please dont die on me!
We’re back! Again......... see you in 6 months
Sounds good.. You want to meet back here or under your bridge?
;)
How about you drive your "Mobile Workshop" to my bridge. lol
haha
Soooo we meeting under my bridge?
How about a video on your granite work. I have done some myself but could stand to learn more.
do you need to get a certification to do the refrigerant handling ?
Hi,
I'm very interested in how you acquired that building, I'm looking to do something similar in a multi-unit building and had a few questions if you don't mind:
How did you find that building?
What was your criteria when looking for the building?
How did you organize the financing?
Thanks
ps love the videos!
Off subject I know, but, on your portable tool stand builds what wheels do you use, and are they good for multiple surfaces?
It's inspiring to see such a motivated person. Where do you find he energy?
Re: book. Think the audience might be split, you may be able to make some on ebook alone but not as much as you would via a $99 udemy class. It could prove best to do both!
The shop & studio look amazing!!!
I’m split myself. The “why” of the book really lends itself to print, but the “how” would be better as video.

Welcome back friends!
Thank you!
Do people really need a 200+ page book or a 10 hour course on how to buy a used car. Wow!
I dunno man, this guy bought a pretty sweet truck for $800 lol. Dunno if I would ever pay for a course or the book, but if it was how to flip them for profit...maybe people would be more interested.
Do you have any resources or links for the products and processes used on both the granite countertop as well as installing the mini split?
I used just a regular 4.5" diamond blade from the hardware store to cut it and then a kit like this to polish it:
amzn.to/2HkXYES
Mini split videos are coming. I didn't want to make a video about it without understanding it myself.
How do you find warehouses that have bayes for rent? I would be interested in renting one one day. How much would they also cost?
looks great! plans on adding hair lights in your shop? It also seems off to have all the light coming from the top. Maybe a white ceiling in the shop instead of a black hole?
Can you recommend any similar channels WRT real estate rental business? I like your coverage on it.
Your daughter is adorable...so is your son 😀
Mike, how are you able to refill your Soda Steam CO2 bottles? I've never been able to find the right adapters.
You have to order it directly from China. goo.gl/iQU55o
Have you taken a look any deeper at active vs passive funds or should we simply take it as 80% of active funds don't outperform passive?
I haven't seen any evidence that active funds can outperform passive.
What happened with your trailer build?
You need to add second story above offices
I want to build Hudson a playroom up there :)
Doing an Audible Audio Book will likely net you the most money and reach the largest audience.
Hi Mike, firstly I want to say congrats on the new born.
Secondly, I'm rather dissapointed seeing all the projects we didn't get to see. Thanks Andy. I agree and disappointed myself that we didn't film more of the process. We're working on getting better about that now.
The mini split AC install would have been nice to watch.
Thanks! Consider your vote tallied :)
I've never heard of Dave Barry and googling doesn't bring up anything about car saving. Can you send me a link?
Darn it.. mixing things up - Dave Ramsey is who I meant. :-)
(Dave Barry was a humour columnist...)
C) Audible Audiobook? ...not sure if the cost/benefit would work for you
Awesome stuff!
Busy,busy,busy
Release the book and work on the videos afterwards!
how about both guys
Code enforcement will rip you a new one if they see that drain. Also, no bathroom? How about an eBook AND a printed book that you could sell on amazon.
BTD I think the only bathroom is shared by the units and is located in the middle of the building. I’m wondering if there is only one sewer line to the building, so that why no bathroom?
PLEASE help yourself out and toss the printer in the office...its too nasty an area for printers...even in an enclosure
GREAT update though! Thanks a bunch
Why did you want her to be born in Costa Rica
10 minutes and 15 seconds.....sigh.
Congrats!
