    Hi. You state that you started out with a jet washer that wasn't as powerful. What was the litres per minute of your first washer if you dont mind me asking? I want to start out but i note that anything over 15lpm is quite an expense. Can you use say a 16inch surface cleaner with a 10lpm washer? Thanks Chris

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe, just, but I don’t think it will be worth it. I started with a 15 litres per minute machine, and it wasn’t long before I realised that I needed more power. In the long run it’s worth getting a proper machine.😉👍🏼

    @premiergutterandroofcleani6668 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    HI Ashley, obviously your washer is a serious piece of kit. I looking to buy one similar. I am trying to get my head around how not to run out of water. Taking the average pressure of domestic taps is around 9 LPM and your using 21 LPM do you have to keep stopping whilst the bin fills as the water going in is way way less than you are pulling.... Thanks

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, occasionally you may have to stop while it fills, but that’s why you use the buffer tank like this. By the time you have done a bit of sweeping it soon fills up again. I find lots of taps often keep up with what I’m using actually.😃👍🏼

  • @matthewcalder4351
    @matthewcalder4351 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video Ash, just thinking as the wheelie bin doesn't fit in your van you can get all sorts of sized ridged plastic tanks that will hold more water and fit in your van. As you totched on waiting for some customers taps is a real ball ache! Maybe get another bin that way you could stack them taking up no extra room and when one bin runs dry pop your suction hose into the other bin ! Just a thought, keep up the good work. M

      @@aemackintosh sorry I should have said 4000psi but I guess your answer is still the same. Thank you so much. Very helpful.

      It’s not so much about psi that gives you cleaning power, but perhaps the litres per minute is even more important. Most guys will be using 21 litres per minute machines. 15 is pretty decent though. But 21 you will find quicker and more effective on those tough jobs.👍🏼

      You should be able to get a twin Lance from Rutland Pumps or AC Pressure Washers.😃👍🏼

    I'm thinking of investing in a karcher pressure wassure. Ive already got a waterfed pole but its really bendy and thinking of getting Gardiner Xtreme. Do you think its better for me to get a better waterfed pole or a pressure washer?

    Hi quick question how long is your hose for the washer to the lance and what fittings do you use for the ends

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use a 15meter length pressure hose. I tried a 30m for a while, but it just used to get twisted up and it was more trouble than it was worth. Other than the flat surface cleaner I just have a turbo nozzle lance and a twin nozzle fan lance for rinsing, it has two wide fan jets one soft and one harder with a handle on the side that adjusts between the two. It’s great for the rinse at the end.😃👍🏼
