Some of the arranging by Dirty Loops and Snarky Puppy are just as good as orchestral arrangements in film scores imo. Listening to the thriller arrangement recently in the middle made me think even more of this 🔥
Stellar Musicians!
This is probably my favorite composition from these guys. That laid back feel, a little swing to it, and the drummer and bass player providing great subdivisions at key transition points with their fills. The vocals are beyond reproach. Even though it's not shown in the video, the brass arrangements are killing it as well as the keys. Such a great feeling tune.
It really is an impressive performance! They make it look easy, but it took many years of practice & studying to get to their skill levels and execute this song the way they did

“Next To You” is killer, but then so is “Work Sh%#*t Out” (less vocal, more instrumental, with a dope drum solo by Aron) as well as “Thriller”, and simply everything else these guys have ever done… ;)
Oh yeah, and thanks for that track of yours, that sax is on fire too! 🎷🔥👌
Also, feel free to choose a slightly larger format for your own picture within the screen :) it’s nice to get more of the reactions, in the context of the whole frame, imo.
