Woodland Animals Part 1: Black Bear Portrait with Watercolor and Ink

- In Part 1 of 4 in our Woodland Animals series, we'll be painting a black bear. For this piece we'll use simple shapes and nested lines to sketch the outline of our bear. Then we'll use watercolor, rubbing alcohol, and ink to bring our bear to life. This is a beginner friendly tutorial that is sure to please! By the end of this series, you'll have a complete set of woodland animal art to enjoy. Paint them all!
MATERIALS LIST
watercolor paper
sketching pencil
pencil sharpener (if needed)
eraser
round brush (I'm using a #6)
watercolor palette (with black, dark blue, and golden yellow)
artist's brush pen in black
rubbing alcohol in spray bottle
water
paper towels

I'm so glad you found the video helpful! As for the brush pen, I use the Faber-Castell brand, the Pitt Artist Pen Brush. You can find it at most craft stores or online. Hope that helps!
