- I finally purchased some hand jacks and this is what I found. #carpenter #dewalt #work #irwin #finishcarpentry #remodel #remodeling #construction
China Hand Lift Jack www.amazon.com...
Irwin Quick Lift www.amazon.com...
Got those two from Amazon, works like a charm for most of my use cases. As a solo handyman type of worker I have not yes come across something where they did not suffice. Just keep in mind that they don’t hold up the world and it will be ok. Leveling feet for washers, tables cabinets etc
Harley is making me go on a diet now, No I don’t weigh 325lbs
Amazon does not seem to have the 2 set anymore
Yes, the parent company for Irwin is Stanley Black & Decker, which is also DeWalt's parent company. FYI, I bought those two from Amazon and could not lift my washing machine! It would not ratchet. So, I will be paying more for the Irwin. Larger footprint and lifts.
That’s interesting, I believe the Irwin definitely will lift more though. The fit and finish is better as well but wish it was made here in the states.
@@campbellbuiltHarbor Freight will knock this off very soon. They with be right around $12.00.
So your saying Harbor Freight is going to rip off Harbor Freight 😀
I’d like to see a comparison against the Dewalt, Irwin, Chinesium, and the original Viking Arm
This may happen.
Nice Bostich tape! They were my favorite, sucks they stopped making them😠
😎⚒️😎⚒️😎, they'd be nice for leveling appliances
Yes sir
I have 2 of the original viking arm lifters. As a professional finish carpenter that works mostly on my own i find them invaluable
The only downside is when fitting doors you have to kneel down to hand operate them so i will be buying the stanley model as it can be foot operated
For me, the 2 cheaper pair would be just fine for my needs.
Stanley has one too (same company) but a little different design. The original is the Viking arm made in Norway, that one is $180 each.
I was not aware of the Stanley, good to know.
Lol, just like Milwaukee tools weren't made in Milwaukee. lol
They did at one time. This started irritating me when I looked at our older DeWALT’s. Almost all of them said USA made, and then Mexico now China.
Viking arm is the best I’d say
I need to get one
@@campbellbuilt those Amazon ones do the trick tho I guess it’s a question of how long they would last if it was used everyday as part of your trade
Have you tried the Dewalt one?
