As a fellow musician, baseball, and mathematics dude, I tip my hat to ya
I thought I hung em up back in 09 when I decided to go full in on music and engineering. I thought I'd never make a return. I got my degree in engineering and somehow found my way back to baseball by making and studying baseball bats.
By using bats to test out my designs, I got my swing back and after 13 years of not playing, I can once again hit nukes on the field. The game never leaves you. The only thing that changes is your place in the game. I'm a batsmith. You're a content creator. Antonio is going to be in the Show. We all have our roles

The average fan would probably struggle to make a JV team. Especially those that have been away from the game for any length of time.
I've been out for 14 years. Wasn't a top prospect in high school. I was good. But I don't know if I could make a team now. I'm broken and couldn't tell you the last time I even swung a bat lol

Ever so proud of you, Cole, after a day of training for any Athlete10 years off, will have somewhat a rough time, just from the beginning of meals, i knew then , ( camera off) restroom break soft toss baseball time,
I so miss coaching , training, and watching you on and off the field , I would love to have some BP, and Fielding practice with you and see if pops still has it

@NFN Honey Badger I've been out of the game for about 20 years now. Went into a batting cage a couple months ago for the first time in at least 15 years and didn't touch a single ball at 65 mph.
In my HS they never had a good jv baseball team, they throw like 40 mph so I bet any grown adult can pitch better and probably bat better
This NEEDS to be a staple on this channel. Awesome idea and content that will pop. Title the series, “Can I Play?” or “Do I Have Enough” or “Still Got It!” Something to that effect. Regardless, this needs to continue!

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I went to a public high school and we didn't have anything near as good or as much gym equipment. My brother and sister went to a private school and their school was pretty similar to this one.

"Average fan" making a decent HS Varsity baseball team? ZERO chance. Baseball is really hard, and guys that make varsity in any decent program have played since they were 8 or younger, most played lots of competitive travel ball, have played literally hundreds of games, etc. No chance. An average fan could not make a decent 12 year old all star team...
This was great, Cole! As a 22-year-old who had my shoulder redone last year, I feel your pain 🙏 This video made me think of Eli Manning in his walk-on video in a way lol, would love a spinoff series where Trevor goes undercover and dominates high school or college teams.

Never realized how in shape high school and college athletes are until I stopped training. It took all but maybe 2 years to be completely out of shape from baseball after college.
This hits home pretty hard. I was looking at a scholarship to play at a college in Kentucky and my senior year I threw a slurve and my shoulder popped. I was never the same after that and there went my plans to play high level baseball.

After 10.5 years all heart and the love of the Game,
I know as a proud father you had 2, major thoughts,
1. Wow that was alot of intake 1st thing in the morning and afternoon lunch, I'll need to do soft toss bathroom baseball break,
2. I WHAT, FORGOT MY CLEATS, please don't slip do the splits , hurt the hips and destroy my shoulder, again
I miss coaching, training, talking about life with you on and off the field, I would love to have BP, and fielding practice again to see if pops can still has it,

As a 37 yr old, I can confidently say I would be able to make any varsity team at multiple positions and I haven’t played competitively since I was in high school. I’m so confident I’d pay $1000 to any school program that thinks otherwise. Just another over confident Joe!
My 5A high school team was baller as fuck. No. I couldn't have made the team. I made the Allstars game in little league when I was 9, though. I think I love watching baseball even more because I DIDN'T play it.

As a first baseman, I always tell the left side of my infield that, as long as it's straight at me, I'll pick it.
i was really good from 11-14, but when i got to high school, i simply just didnt work hard enough, theres no excuse. Its simply just not working hard enough. As a young person its easy to get distracted and not take it seriously. Btw that guy looks really old for 29. . .

Imagine having a private gym, strength and condition coach, and practice field the quality of a game field. Not meant to be a slight at homie. Hes taking advantage of everything he has to be one ofnthe best. Its a little more of a comment on the funding structure of the schooling system.
fr man, got into baseball recently but didnt make a team but i wonder what i wouldve been if my family had the money or resources to play younger, or spend money to eat properly, these players are certainly skilled but theyre also very priviledged to be in such a position
