Excellent video and Sub'd up to your channel, I live right up the street from Titlow and can hear the trains from my house! I've been hearing for years that they are going to stop blasting the horns down there, looks like it's finally going to happen, I will def miss hearing the horns from my house, not a huge fan of the speakers, but I get it. I'm kinda shocked that they would replace that old bridge, I heard that the reason the Boat club left that land is because the bridge was too expensive to replace, but not really sure, maybe they need a newer bridge still for service vehicles etc.. I am glad the Boat club left that land because now we have another really cool beach in the area! Love seeing other people catching trains in my area, really well put together video, makes ya feel like you are right there in the adventure! take care -Ken

Very well done!! I believe those trash trains terminate in The Dalles, Oregon. Trucks take it the rest of the way to Roosevelt, WA. This is a classic case of NIMBY(not in my back yard)

BNSF trash trains terminate in Roosevelt WA on the north shore of the Columbia. Trucks transport the containers from the railhead up to the dump. UP trash trains terminate at Arlington OR on the south side of the Columbia on a ~10 mile spur south of their mainline.

Amazing video! The prices of track are from March when they replaced the track under the road. They will eventually make it a no horn zone. They started the project in March but they haven’t finished it yet. With titlow being my local spot I am sad to see the horns go.

I’m sad very as well it’s the neighbors fault for living so close to the train tracks and they start to complain.

The so-called Point Defiance Bypass route is owned by Sound Transit/WSDOT, not Tacoma Rail.
For a long time, Titlow was once the eastern slip for ferries headed to Gig Harbor (not the Olympic Peninsula) and home to Northern Pacific's 'Sixth Avenue' station.
The Day Island road bridge is a better place to shoot NB trains in the PM. Hope for high tide and no wind.

1:14 How much you want to bet those tracks were removed years ago and left there?
Too expensive to move them, not enough money to recycle them, no cost to leave them there...
