I've been a guitar player all of my life who recently bought a bass that was available at an insane deal and 48 month 0% financing. Lately I've been going through the catalog of Primus and Guns n Roses and I just have to say that while Les Claypool is just a beast with the licks he's written over the decades (Tommy the Cat lol I will never learn to play you), Duff is also extremely underrated. When you sit down to play the actual bass lines for GnR, they are so different than everything else you are hearing. Usually, the bass blends with the drums or is a low end track for the guitar riffs but not in GnR. He adds so much more to the songs that gets lost in the mix with the rest of the amazing musicianship in these albums. UYI 1 and 2 will forever be the greatest double album of ALL TIME, from START to FINISH practically (do we have to count My World? Nah), and AFD will forever be the greatest debut album of all time. Just wish Izzy would come back because he's another underrated musician. The songs he wrote on UYI are some of the best.

GnR went a bit strange and experimental with the Use your Illusion albums. This song is a Psychedelic Rock song that no one would have thought was even possible by them in 1987.
I had the cassette before buying the CD eventually. Nearly wore the tape out from back to back to back listening sessions. You can escape to your own Garden by just listening to these guys. Even with cheap headphones and a crappy tape player they still sounded fantastic.

It's hard for younger people born in the 90's and later to imagine that back then Times Square was a real dump. Disney bought everything out in the early 90's and turned it into a tourist area for the other 364 days in the year when Dickinson Clark wasn't broadcasting the countdown. It used to be nothing but strip clubs and whack shacks. Now a days it's full of tourists and overpriced coffee.

He told me all about it when we met up there for new Years in 98'. He was from the Bronx and told me that until Disney bought everything up it used to be a bunch of strip clubs, whack shacks, and swarming with dealers, pimps, and prostitutes. In 1998 it was like a theme park from what I could tell. I'm from south Florida and the same exact thing happened with Fort Lauderdale beach and south beach. The mayor wanted the spring breakers out, so big money moved in and turned it into a rich people playground. I miss the way it used to be. Before they polished everything up it had character and was cozy. On the 4th of July everyone was there. You could park on the beach itself. You could grill and swim all day and everything was cool. Now if you stand still for 5 minutes and make eye contact with an officer you get charged with loitering. And if you bring a firework, you get arrested. All you are allowed to do is pay out the ass to park and buy overpriced shit at the tourist palace. So I think I understand what you mean by liking it better as a cesspool.

I had the cassette before buying the CD eventually. Nearly wore the tape out from back to back to back listening sessions. You can escape to your own Garden by just listening to these guys. Even with cheap headphones and a crappy tape player they still sounded fantastic.

It's hard for younger people born in the 90's and later to imagine that back then Times Square was a real dump. Disney bought everything out in the early 90's and turned it into a tourist area for the other 364 days in the year when Dickinson Clark wasn't broadcasting the countdown. It used to be nothing but strip clubs and whack shacks. Now a days it's full of tourists and overpriced coffee.

He told me all about it when we met up there for new Years in 98'. He was from the Bronx and told me that until Disney bought everything up it used to be a bunch of strip clubs, whack shacks, and swarming with dealers, pimps, and prostitutes. In 1998 it was like a theme park from what I could tell.
I'm from south Florida and the same exact thing happened with Fort Lauderdale beach and south beach. The mayor wanted the spring breakers out, so big money moved in and turned it into a rich people playground. I miss the way it used to be. Before they polished everything up it had character and was cozy. On the 4th of July everyone was there. You could park on the beach itself. You could grill and swim all day and everything was cool. Now if you stand still for 5 minutes and make eye contact with an officer you get charged with loitering. And if you bring a firework, you get arrested. All you are allowed to do is pay out the ass to park and buy overpriced shit at the tourist palace. So I think I understand what you mean by liking it better as a cesspool.

Si bien la sátira o la parodia, incluso el humor negro tocan temas muy delicados como la guerra, la discriminación, la corrupción y así (en este caso fue la violencia infantil) se nota que o bien el sketch fue improvisado o no tomaron mayor conciencia de sus actos (con esto me refiero a la posible indignación o reacción negativa, por parte del publico oyente). Fuese cualquiera de los caminos, ambos eran conscientes de lo que hacían, por lo tanto tienen que asumir sus responsabilidades...
Por otro lado, tenemos muy buenos ejemplos, entre ello tenemos a La Paisana Jacinta de JB, Pataclaún de July Naters o la serie del cholo Juanito y Richard Douglas. Y si nos damos cuenta, no cualquiera tiene la capacidad o el talento para realizarlo (no es simplemente mentar la madre o insultar y ya) porque se arriesga a este tipo de impases, además una persona capacitada tiene que realizar un estudio minucioso tanto del guion, las expresiones, el ambiente donde se desenvolverán, etc. En este caso, no cumplen dichas condiciones, ya que (ambos) demuestran ineptitud, falta de profesionalismo y muy poca empatía con estos casos que desgraciadamente ocurre día a día
OJO: en el min. 1:10 se retracta y pide perdón, pero yo siento falsas sus disculpas, por el simple hecho de que le sigue la corriente a su compañera de escenario (simplemente, pudo haber cambiado de tema y problema resuelto)

I don't think very many people do know this song. I couldn't wait for these albums to come out. I bought the cassettes, and listened to both of them while reading the lyrics. I always had the volume cranked up while listening to all GnR songs!

É estranho, é um sentimento nostálgico que eu nao sei do que, mas é tão bonito quando escuto a guitarra começar a tocar ou "cantar" a melodia, é como se eu fosse pra outro mundo. Qnd escutei essa música a primeira vez a 10 anos atrás eu estava com 13 anos e tinha a mesma sensaçao que tenho ainda hoje.

Man we didn't know how good we had it did we? For those of you that were born in the 70s like myself... We grew up listening to this. How I was born in 79 so I was a little kid when guns n' roses hit the scene. But I couldn't get enough of it. Kids these days man I tell you obviously they've got no way of knowing what they missed but damn. If they only knew. They don't know what world without technology. They don't know a world without limitless knowledge at your fingertips yet we have two of the stupidest fucking generations the planet has ever seen. And some of the shit that they call music these days is sickening. Anyway I'm done with my ranting. But for those of you out there.. if you know you know. We were blessed we truly were. And we were the last ones...
