I think I have both of them, (I'm in UK and are they both in UK?) Infesting my room. I definitely have the casemaking clothes moths in my room, have seen the larvae in their cases. But sometimes I have seen larvae that are not in cases that look pretty much exactly the same as the ones in cases.
Do larvae carry their "house" around while moving? I started to see some holes on several of my cotton t-shirts and i wonder if it's them, could holes in t-shirts be generated in other way? I'm thinking if it was them i'd surely have seen them as they move around with their cylinder house
casemaking clothes moth larvae do carry the case with them, everywhere they go. Holes is shirts are often caused by mechanical means (Leaning against a counter or table with a sharp edge, catching the fabric on a rough edge, etc.). If the holes are caused by moths, there is almost always evidence of them being there; cases, frass (pepper-like fecal pellets) or webbing.
How do I get rid of the brown one, I have posriasis and so my skin shreds off so they have a good food source, I try and hoover everyday but I dont have enough time. These moths are starting to make their way up my bed and is becoming really annoying, I just want them gone!
Moth bslls are toxic to you and your pets. And they haven't worked for us, my grandfather, or Anyone else I've ever spoken to.. they are for putting into a CLOSED container with clothing you are Storing. NOT for sprinkling around.. google the dangers of moth balls, then go get pheromone traps and a steamer. Or call pest control. I wish so badly I'd have called pest control sooner... if you KNOW you have moths, then you Already Have an infestation... they are NO joke. And so hard to get rid of. (Update- my grandfather got rid of his by bombing his home, screened in porch and car... praying it will work for us and be safe for our animal's) good luck!
hi there. At :50 seconds along side the larvae, are those eggs? If so i'm afraid of what i've just discovered deep in my rug. A rug I've been fighting with moths over for 6 years.
At 0:50 Seconds, those are not eggs. Webbing clothes moth larvae cover their feeding tubes and pupal cases with their fecal pellets (feces). The somewhat rounded objects that you are seeing are those fecal pellets.

It is not impossible to have both types of clothes moth at the same time, but it would be considered unusual. In most clothes moth infestations that we encounter, we typically find only one species of moth or the other. That being said, insects seem to love being "the exception to the rule" and breaking stereotypes. Identifying the adult moths that you find will answer the question.

i am so terrified of bugs, but i saw some in my room after i opened my closet 😔

Buy a card of teeny parasitic wasps online -they will kill all the moths are said to be very effective. You won't see them.
