I like it, that's a really good idea. I would probably remove the rear wheel and replace it with the front wheel to lighten it up a bit plus I would keep the brake. Also, having some sort of a front stand to hold it up whenever you need to stop along the way.
I plan on doing it with my old bike, but would keep the break line on the backside to keep the whole weight push me down hill, i am on my 3rd month post achilles surgery and this summer should be fine as long as i dont have the whole weight carried
@@annewilson3007 where we go backpacking to a beautiful lake on top of a mountain we had to go obviously up but there was down hills that are pretty steep for wheels so i wouod need them for myself 😅. I saw another video of this and he does have a break on his which gave me a brighter ide
I did initially but then removed them as they were getting in the way when attaching it to the pack and I wasn’t using them. I think they are more useful when wheeling it in front of you.
@@davidfagan2640 pretty sure honey badger or pack wheel make a E version. As for pvc changing the fork and handle bars would be pretty easy and reducer the weight as they are currently steel
@@Outdoorswithnat great idea, I'll give that a go! Easier to bend too. I've just started making one based on your design. Is there anything you'd do differently?
Not really the hardest part is making it attach to your body so it is stable and comfortable. It needs to be able to pivot up and down but not rock from side to side.
I appreciate your time and effort on this video. I like the simplicity of your design.
Thank you very much!

Thanks for the support :)
Clever, really clever! You let that old bike take care of most of the work.
Thanks for the support.
Nice idea, using the frame as the base. Thanks

Fort simple et d'une grande facilité de conversion avec de vieille bicyclette. c'Est très astucieux il suffisait y pensé! Un abonné de France.
Thanks
You could take this concept to another level and see how much weight a human can actually push or pull using only human power.
Kid and equipment is enough for me :)
Nice design Nate
Thanks.
Genius!

Good job
Thanks for the support
What a neat idea ! Have you also tried to push it instead of pulling it ? Does it handle well too ?
Ok pushing for a short time and good on the downhills. Thanks for the support.

With weight low enough and maybe smaller wheel, do you think this could work for running? For long distance multi day, self supported stuff.
Hi Nat, great idea, what is the weight you have including the 4 panniers?
I have a birch ply version
Thanks for the support. I can carry enough for three people without to much trouble.
Did you keep the brakes??? Helps with going up and down hills...

Be great to have a plastic verison made with PVC pipe maybe some e actence for hills
