In order to make an item to perfect stats, there must be sink. This is because maging is designed to be difficult and stats will start falling if the overall stats of the item is near perfect. In order to get sink, a higher valued stat must be dropped. E.g.. 1AP which is common in amulets. I suggest you check out my video "advanced maging tutorial" where I drop 1AP on a jammy jack collar and make stats perfect. I also attempt to 3% air resistance exomage with the remaining sink
Could you have also put 50 vitality on the gelano in addition to the MP? If I understand sink correctly: the AP falling off gives you +100 sink, then MP is worth -90 sink. There's +10 sink left so you could put 50 vitality or 100 initiative on it. I'm sure this would be extremely difficult, but would it be technically possible? I'm asking because I don't have the kamas to test it myself 😂 Lastly, do you think it would be worth it? I imagine those stats would be pretty darn valuable.

The AP will drop regardless when you spam MP runes. The fact that the AP is off doesn't matter until the very end when MP lands then you can simply add 1AP back.

Isn't it better to fix the gelano once you get -sink? And then try MP again?
No because you would be wasting AP runes adding it back every time AP drops

No need for orb. Just spam all MP runes until land, then add AP back

Rune market. And you must be at least level 60 jewelmagus to mage this item

It was 1 AP 1 Range not 1 AP 1 MP.

Its not so simple, i usualy got my MP droping, when putting de AP
