Great talk. I studied for a Masters degree in Music Technology at York in the early 90s and one of our assignments was to compose a piece of electroacoustic music. I remember vividly how totally engrossing it was exploring the world around me sonically using stereo microphones as 'sonic microscopes'. It was such a revelation that it rewired my brain. Excellent fun if you've never tried it!
