This was my neighborhood mall. It's so crazy to see the mall so empty. Even when I worked in the Lloyd Tower last year (next to the mall) the mall was always so empty.
    Fun fact:
I took my senior pictures here 😂 4:40
Also the Tilt arcade on the top level near the inside theater was sooo much fun as a kid!

Used to be my favorite mall in the PDX area, so sad to see it so finished, I see no return, city gov. has ruined this too. Great video, thanks!

No problem. I really think it's a great looking place inside. I'm happy it's been spared from redevelopment for now

Sad to see Lloyd Center Mall so empty. I use to live in PDX until I moved to Seattle. I remember coming by the Mall about 3 or 4 years ago, when I was in town and it was fairly empty then. I remember always coming here when I was younger and it was always busy, all of the store fronts were full and open. Sad to see it on it's death bed. Sadder to see the local city government do absoutely nothing about the situation in Portland, which has lead to this. We are going through the same thing in Seattle right now. Thank you for doing this video.

It has been difficult keeping up with all of the retail closures that have happened during the covid Era. A mall is a great place to see the striking example of that number, due to a number of retailers being in such close proximity to one another.

With over 300 million plus in the U.S and like wise around the world we start a trend and we can stop a trend I remember going into malls heck we I'm from could smoke in them even in food courts not now .
We started supporting box style malls like they are now all in one or several locations all customers have their individual door walk in and out not mixed in with 300 people per say and now alot of communities putting movie theater in malls to help rejuvenate it.
A great video lets hope they can work something out even dropping rent or lease cost and attract new business.

I bough undies at that Charlotte Ruees. They were great. Guess I need to find a new spot if ever I find myself in town again.

I loved this mall back in the day. A really hot girl took me skating there once after we spent Thanksgiving weekend together.

The Mall is in foreclosure and is being redeveloped into housing and businesses. I heard it on the news over a month ago. Under those circumstances I'm surprised it's still open.

Too frightened to visit with Roommate ( Whom uses an Invalid Scooter ) - lots of stories of folks ruining parts of the building and parking lot with wreckless abandon... Suggested to visit Washington Square Mall instead, it seemed SAFER.

Last there in 2013. Loved shopping @ Nordstrom’s & watching ice skaters. Many great places to grab a bite to eat. Stores were full of shoppers. So sad the mall has declined to this….recent riots & devastation have totally “gutted” & destroyed downtown Portland. So many homeless. People are fearful of coming there.

With all of the colleges and medical offices on the third floor, it isn't as dead as it appears to be. The good news is, where there are shops open close to one another, people are still present. If it's a stand alone shop without anything else near it, as in the lone jewelry kiosk at the start of this recording, it's days are probably numbered.

I say old bean, have you tried narrating an audio book? Your voice and accent could make the telephone book sound like Harry Potter.
