Day In The Life of a Truck Driver | Overnight Delivery at 3AM to Omaha NE! I Had to Run a 7/3 Split

As a reefer truck driver I run a lot of split hour shifts to accommodate hours sitting in the sleeper at shippers and receivers. I get rest and usually take a nap at shippers and receivers because they take long to load or unload these reefer trailers. To combat losing my drive time for the day due to my 14hr clock, I run a 8/2 split, 7/3 split, and sometimes a 6.5/3.5 split. It's been very helpful and it keeps me moving. I can also get showers and avoid heavy traffic or delays by stopping at a truck stop and planning a split shift. Here's how I handled my overnight delivery at 3AM to Omaha Nebraska. I even seen a few flurries at Walmart lol. It's always flurries in that area but nothing to worry about. I enjoyed my last and final stop for this load. I'm glad it's over because the broker kept lying about delivery times which caused some issues with my clock. Glad to be moving on to a different broker lol. It's more money to be made.
