I saw The Vandals when I was a kid in high school in a dive bar. There weren't many people there, and some old hardcore punk dudes were bored I guess and started messing with my friends and I. We were just kids and the Vandals started telling them to F off, and were jamming out felt like just for us and the few other people who were there. It was awesome and I will always be a Vandals fan!
@@downswingdegenya but i think that’s like the vandals whole thing…be real and joke around…josh disappointed us yesterday tbh. hope they can patch things up. in chicago he said wrong dave to him and pretty much the same stuff….dudes gotta b stressed about all that but not like he won’t find work and isn’t already very well off either.
@@heyholetsgo foo fighters is his golden goose and retirement. Glad he agreeed to that A perfect circle tour cause FF might be in the outs for a minute.
I’ve seen Josh a bunch over the years and was at the Chicago show. It was the most vanilla I’ve ever seen him and a huge letdown. This is even worse. Unfortunate for everyone.
Thanks for posting! 22:46 that was the single weirdest version of My Girlfriend's Dead that I've ever seem them play. Josh intentionally forgot how to play drums???
ya there was barely any guitar this whole set and the drums were really low at first too…josh played great, they all did until the end there he got pissed…
He got frustrated with them joking about foo fighters being “ cancelled “ and called Josh “unemployed “ so he purposefully ruined the song and then left early
It seems like Josh was just taking a piss there on the last tune. You could see the bass player cracking up. The Vandals are always such a silly band, i'm guessing it was all in good fun
ya the sound sucked in the beginning but then got some snare in after a couple songs…barely any guitar at first too…ppl were pretty bummed about it then being cut short too and josh playing like that at the end….not cool of him imo. but he just probably was really frustrated so i get that part too…i don’t know, maybe there’s more to it then just him cracking the joke and whoever was doing sound dropping the ball.

Lead singer lessons:
1. Don’t make jokes about your drummer.
2. Don't forget the first rule.
as drummer, we get butt-hurt very easily, and won't be afraid to leave yo ass
Josh went full Lars for "My Girlfriend's Dead"
Josh tanked the set? Lol. Seemed like their departure was abrupt. I was down in the pit area on the right. Wish they woulda played a little longer!
The singer made a comment about Josh being cancelled and he doesn’t have a job anymore. So he fucked up the song on purpose and left.

This proves that Drummers have all the power when it comes to controlling the situation haha.

Actually he was auditioning for Metallica.
@@whitneyryan-ng1cq 🤣🤣🤣 oh man that was perfect
he was offended by a ironic quote about Dave Grohl and decided to ruin the song before going away
Sometimes fools need to be reminded that the drummer is the most important part of the band

Can someone explain to me what was going on here? Maybe the drummer's monitor cut out and he couldnt hear the band?
