@ralphforbes5807 emongg feels the most wholesome and like he actually respects his viewers a lot more. Flats and Jay3 feel like they have a way bigger ego and a mild distain for lower ranked players while emongg is very humble. No hate towards Jay3 and Flats, they're normal for top 500 players while emongg is an exception.
Hey emong, I appreciate the review and I extremely appreciate the tips you provided, I appreciate all the comments good and bad from everyone as well! Hope you all have a great ranked season!
I'd really work on the jumping. You're making your hitbox larger when you jump like that. Asynchronous (emphasis on the asynchronous) movements, side strafing is a good way to fidget around imo.
He didn’t want to be roasted he was open to criticism no matter how harsh it is even to the extent it’s “roasting” I admire the determination to learn and put away ego. 🙌
Ironically the way to get Emongg to "roast" you isnt to aso him to roast you, its to pour some ego in there. The only time he gets mean is when someone blames their team and/or "I should be plat already" and even then, his roasting is a lot more subtle than a Flats or Jay
No idea why this guy still stuck in silver. He's pretty good bastion. I specifically like the play at 15:19, he saw the sigma was very low and decided to tank for a little bit to prevent him from dying.
They are staying in the middle of the street instead of using walls, that's why. They are scared in all the wrong ways. Instead of backing up to a wall and peeking from behind it, they back away in the middle of the street, hiding from their teammate supports instead of the enemy dps, spamming everything instead of spamming one person.
Has anyone else noticed that PC players seem to have much better aim, but positioning is usually bad with console being the opposite? I'm diamond on both and the play styles are just so different.
honestly I'd never thought about it but this makes sense to me. on PC, aiming is easier so it's easier to overcome positioning errors with better aim, but on console, aiming is tougher but you can get value from good positioning even with aim that isn't as strong.
Honestly to climb out of silver, instead of concentrating on being a God at aiming, just concentrate on hogging walls, always having a hiding place next to you that you constantly duck into when focused instead of being in the middle of the street, and make sure to play your life over playing to risk and kill. That's what I teach all my Bronze/Silver friends and so far everyone has been slowly climbing to Gold. One got from Bronze 5 to Silver 5 with that in mind and still climbing, two went from Silver 5 to Silver 1, and a few got to Gold 5 from Silver 3-4 on that tip. No good mechanics included, just basic hero knowledge.
4:47 If it was more true to the cinematic, it should seek out visible targets instead of just moving in a straight like while two dragons try to 69 each other. Try to imagine it, an insta cast deadeye that targets the first visible person and then moves to the next visible one after doing x amount of damage that increases the more people it hits.
😅literally just started the video but Emongg roasting someone is "That hero is having a fun time." Or "interesting strategy" . I CANT IMAGE HIM BEING MEAN. I can't wait to enjoy this and watch Emongg roast someone. I think it'll be interesting 😅 lol
Emongg u would be surprised how many mechanically okay players are in silver just like this dude. The bottom 3 ranks contains way too many players with way too big of a skill gap unfortunately
If this man is actually stuck in silver then he in elo hell cause that shit was stable and works. If anything this is mid to high gold level gameplay. Although gameplay is a bit slower than gold.
This person needs to take more angles. I can imagine this game was frustrating bc they kept walking main and peppering all 5 enemies with some damage, but then the enemy team would just stand behind cover/the orisa for a sec and get healed. If they went for some off angles from the high ground on right side (on attack after capturing first point), or got their team to follow them up there, they would've probably made progress much sooner
This video really showcases why mechanics aren't everything. This player has way better aim than I do and I place high gold/low plat in dps. If I had this players aim I'd probably be mid plat by now 😂
emogg is assuming jumping is ok to do all the time but if you encounter a guy that aimjump oneshot weapons all the time then you aim the gun for him aimjumping , but thats a ancient technique so aimjumping is ok for a soldier -will work all the time unless you meet some of the ancients
I was waiting to see "ok, he's doing fine, it would be nice to see what happens when he's dove" ... and sure enough the genji immediately occupied all his time giving zero value.
It’s so satisfying to beat orisa bastion abusers. I’ve been picking up tracer at probably the worst time but my game sense has taken a step so I’m getting away with it despite the super health meta.
OKAY ARE WE A HIVEMIND?? I have yet to see or hear of another Bastion main without them saying they also play ashe/soldier for picks or reaper/mei if they're running dive
it may feel that way but jumping is actually a very very predictable up and down motion that halfway competent players can track easily. it will take time to break yourself of the habit but you can do it! what has really helped me is focusing just on not jumping while I'm walking somewhere (back from spawn, following my teammates, etc). that way it helps me break the mental connection between jumping and not having anything else to do. idk how to explain it but it helps me be more deliberate with jumping.
@@sethescope thank you! In these two months when i wrote this comment i’ve actually almost completely forgot about jumping (in fights etc.) and i have seen a lot of improvement in my gameplay. But i use jumping only when im disengaging from the enemy or a fight. Still don’t know if that’s a good thing or bad. Also sorry if my english is bad english isn’t my first language.
@@stolisna your English is great! personally I would say jumping is an especially bad idea when you're trying to get away when a fight is lost. I personally think just yeeting yourself into the enemy team and dying with the rest of your team is a better idea than trying to get away because you can stagger yourself very badly like that. BUT that's my personal opinion and sometimes escaping is 100% possible and I do that too. we all stagger ourselves sometimes or the enemy will stagger ourselves. then again, I had a game where my other support staggered themselves so badly we didn't have a chance of winning an overtime fight because they died when the rest of us had respawned and were basically ready to go back to the objective :( so right now, I'm especially sensitive to the idea of people even RISKING staggering themselves lol long explanation but I wanted to give you my full opinion so you know where I'm coming from :)
Idk much bout Ashe but as a dedicated Bastion main in Silver 5, I can confirm that the Bast gameplay wasnt much different to mine. Except I wouldve taken more time to place my ult shots and saved my Tac Nade to escape Orisa Ult. And I was pretty much hard stuck in Bronze for a while so yeaa. Play a few games and see what happens
Nope. The opposite. When you jump we, snipers and big headshot damage heroes, see the animation of you staying in the air for a certain amount of time as an opportunity. We either shoot you during the peak of the jump or exactly where you land since the range is always the same.
What? They definitely buffed things, you're not gonna call the healing 50 armor a buff? The nade is worse for rocket jumping but it definitely a net buff if you're trying to kill with it by cutting the detonation time is almost half and increasing it's projectile size so it's easier to land, double it's impact damage and reduced the explosion fall off to 50% instead of 70%. The recon gun reloads faster and even the mediocre ult has the targeting movement be faster so you can spend more time aiming than walking the cursor over to a target. So my question is,how are none of these "buffs" they made bastion better with serval QoL changes, survivability boost AND even flat out damage increases. They're not just "changes" they're improvements outside the gimping of rocket jumping which is something they should definitely fix because I know a lot of bastion players enjoyed that.

I don’t think he means he deserves to be higher, just that he doesn’t know what he needs to do in order to rank up
