So many people stubbornly oppose to start Ramadan at the same time as every one and stay behind one day and fast on Eid day when every one else is celebrating Eid. Which is haram. Specially Pakistanis. Most of them follow Pakistan no matter where live. I mean in western countries.
There are so many things to learn. Islam is easy to follow. We need to invest some more time on islamic studies so that if we are unknowingly following any haram things, we can amend before it's too late.

It is haram because you do something which is against what Allah has said to us to do on that day.
