Hi, on a related topic, I wanted to mention my experience with Bobbie Brown lipsticks. So, visited the @BobbiBrown store on 5th Feb 2021 as I wanted to buy their liquid lipsticks. However, once I purchased it and got back home, I realised that the bottle looked dried up as there were blank patches in the tube. Got to know that the latest stock they're selling here dates back to 06/2019! Makes one feel as though the old stock from the overseas market is being dumped for the Indian consumer. I also went ahead and brought it to the notice of the brand's social media team and they don't seem to care. All they'll say that the 'use before date' matters which is June 2021. But why should Indian consumers get such old stock for a premium rate? #NotCool for a premium brand.
Ikr! Absolutely agree with superstay, sugar wine n shine and catsuit. Although i purchased so many super stay lipsticks because those are the only ones which are long lasting, i hate when these start flaking off from the centre of the mouth. 🤯
I totally agree with you on the smashbox lipsticks and huda beauty ones..i have tried using them several times, but never got good results..its quite frustrating to see beauty influencers promoting such products.
Maybelline super stay works beautifully when you first scrub your lips properly, then put a bit of lip balm, then you apply it without hugging your lips...like you have to apply it in the upper lip and then lower lip, don't hug your lips, wait for 3 minutes, and you're set for the day...stickiness is not so bothering, only 3 shades are uncomfortable..trust me I also didn't like it in the first place, but then I knew what are the proper steps to apply...it is magical

That's the thing with Purplle lipsticks. I bought my bullet lipsticks 3-4 months ago and they have this very weird texture now. Also so true about Wine n Shine! My dried down in the tube.

Totally agree with the give me mocha situation and the maybelline super stay matte ink 💯 give me mocha is very beautiful and it's pretty affordable too so I didn't really mind that. However the superstay matte ink is sooooo sticky. I just mix it with other shades and it works pretty well in increasing their lasting power.

Good video. I have almost all mac retro matte lipsticks but not relentlessly red. I heard people complaining about how drying ruby woo is, so, I thought ruby woo is the most drying lipstick. For me, mac lip primer works with these retro matte lipsticks. Lip primer makes applying these lipsticks easier and does keep the lips from drying for a good time. I do have a history of evergreen dry and chapped lips but laneige lip sleeping mask worked for me.

With the Maybelline superstay, it was so sticky, but I kept blotting it down and it worked wonders. It stopped being sticky, the color stayed vibrant as ever. Also, for the sugar smudge me not lipsticks, blott it down while it's kinda wet, trussstttt me. When there's a thinner layer, it's not even half as drying and it never flakes!! Looks beautiful

First you need to hydrate your lips with lip balm and also no flaky lips ... Then you should take very little quantity of the lipstick and apply ....let them dry and dont do any lip movement .... if you take excess quantity then it will act and feel like paint ... for removing use neutrogena oil free or maybelline eye and lip makeup remover with cotton
I agree with you in smashbox ones.and nyx ones are patchy and crumble on me.i am not comfortable . but Maybelline super stay is my most favourite lipstick .I feel super comfortable and I always have good experience with that.m using for more than a year.never had difficulty 😊.

those drying lipsticks are so good in the humid weather here in the filthy sweaty summers .. lol - smudge me not & maybelline matte ink are really fuss-free during those days 😂😂. Also, I have felt that Sugar's smudge me not range felt a little different than the ones initially introduced/manufactured. I do have the shade 43 and 50, names are hot shot and dandy candy from sugar smudge me not.they both are extremely difficult to wear..they are patchy and toooo dryi g and flakey.......the shades are tooo die for...😑don't know, if they have change the formula or not, i bought them in 2019

My mini smashbox liquid lipsticks also dried up so quickly.. and yes my wet and wild give me Mocha also dried quickly. Not goin to repurchase again for sure
The sugar smudge me not ones, which I got from the original Sugar website aren't too drying but the ones that I got from Purplle and Nykaa are very very very drying!!!!!!
Maybelline superstay liquid lipstick is the worst!!! I was so excited about getting the Shade Founder and when I got it! Oh god it looked so bad on me the shade was so dark people were staring at me and the fact that it's not transfer proof at all, like one time when I kissed on my hand to take a patch test it transferred each and every single time until the only thing left was a stain of it on my lips! It's just extremely patchy! I don't understand why TH-camrs are still hyping it up.. Please don't buy it y'all!

Nykaa Matte to last liquid lipstick dried down so soon that couldn't even wear them out. Mishti and maharani shades. Colorbar velvet mattes have mold issues but lasted around a year or more.
I have same issue with the mac relentlessly red. Tried so hard to work with it. But it wouldn't.. Cant believe i wasted my money on it. Feels so bad when u buy something u r excited about and the product turns out to be this bad.
My fav shade give me mocha was dried down in the tube while it arrived itself. Was so upset with that but I love the shade, it is one of the best nude shades on me. It was super flaky too and crumbled off easily. Thankyou for sharing a close match to this lipstick. Much love❤️
I love the sugar smudge me not wine and shine. The MATTTE and transferproof pros are enough for me to tolerate the dryness and all other cons. My mom and bf call it PAINT and we joke about it a lot but that 100% transfer-proof-ness and lasting after meals is so important for me. 🥰🥰🥰 PS i was having a bad day and came here. @@kiaramalhotra3362 yes they are drying. But I usually can't feel them on my lips after one minute of application (you have to stay without rubbing your lips for 30 seconds until it dries). I have dry lips and still wear them in winter. 😍 You can apply lip balm underneath or over it as required (although that compromises the transfer-proof-ness of them). Don't buy the minis, their formula is drier and also dries up in the tube itself. Try with one party wear shade, which you expect to wear only for a couple of hours. If you like it, you can get more whole-day shades. I have about 5-6 shades and although every youtuber hates it, I do not regret those purchases. 🤣🤣 One tip for touching up, which deepthi has also mentioned in a previous video: carry a bullet/crayon lipstick of the same shade to touch up, as you cannot touch up with the liquid.

Wonderful video as always Deepthi. Nowadays thanks to masks I’m becoming much more picky with makeup; already wasted enough money. I remember having a pizza with the Stila liquid lipstick once... by the time I was done I had a red French beard! Haha, super embarrassing. Come to think of it creamy matte bullet lipsticks are much more forgiving than liquid lipsticks.
8.15sec 🤣🤣 So true! The Maybelline matte ink is super gooey even after it dries down. I have a couple but I don't reach out for them at all because of the formula.
Nykaa mini liquid lipstick madras kappi dried very fast.. even i didn't apply them much.. I have also the shade chai.. the mini and the bigger size.. I feel the formula of bigger size is better than the minis.. don't know what's other people faced the problem or its only me...

Completely agree with superstay...i have the same shade...wore it out once regret it sooo bad that I stopped wearing it...n I'm not a hoarded of lipstick so it's a big deal I don't use it anymore ....
I do have the shade 43 and 50, names are hot shot and dandy candy from sugar smudge me not.they both are extremely difficult to wear..they are patchy and toooo dryi g and flakey.......the shades are tooo die for...😑don't know, if they have change the formula or not, i bought them in 2019
Your absolutely right. I felt so bad after my smash box dried up after some months of purchase. The huda broke in half before I could even start using it. So disappointing

I use lipsticks as long as they smell fine and don’t have mould. The minute the smell changes you have to stop❤️
Sugar smudge me not is so drying, I totally agree with the formula blunder, but I love click me up velvet lipstick range, so soft n pigment ❤

My mini smashbox liquid lipsticks also dried up so quickly.. and yes my wet and wild give me Mocha also dried quickly. Not goin to repurchase again for sure
The sugar smudge me not ones, which I got from the original Sugar website aren't too drying but the ones that I got from Purplle and Nykaa are very very very drying!!!!!!

Maybelline superstay liquid lipstick is the worst!!! I was so excited about getting the Shade Founder and when I got it! Oh god it looked so bad on me the shade was so dark people were staring at me and the fact that it's not transfer proof at all, like one time when I kissed on my hand to take a patch test it transferred each and every single time until the only thing left was a stain of it on my lips! It's just extremely patchy! I don't understand why TH-camrs are still hyping it up.. Please don't buy it y'all!
That's why I don't spend much on lipsticks 😀 drugstore lipsticks are cheaper n even if it doesn't work its fine because its the fraction of money we spent on smashbox or hudabeauty

I had the same feeling about wine n shine...it's such a cult favourite...I don't know how.. extremely drying n the way it flakes away from the centre due to slightest lip movement is very unflattering..thanks for the video..it was very informative ❤️

Nykaa Matte to last liquid lipstick dried down so soon that couldn't even wear them out. Mishti and maharani shades.
Colorbar velvet mattes have mold issues but lasted around a year or more.
I have same issue with the mac relentlessly red. Tried so hard to work with it. But it wouldn't.. Cant believe i wasted my money on it. Feels so bad when u buy something u r excited about and the product turns out to be this bad.
My fav shade give me mocha was dried down in the tube while it arrived itself. Was so upset with that but I love the shade, it is one of the best nude shades on me. It was super flaky too and crumbled off easily. Thankyou for sharing a close match to this lipstick. Much love❤️
I love the sugar smudge me not wine and shine. The MATTTE and transferproof pros are enough for me to tolerate the dryness and all other cons. My mom and bf call it PAINT and we joke about it a lot but that 100% transfer-proof-ness and lasting after meals is so important for me. 🥰🥰🥰

@@kiaramalhotra3362 yes they are drying. But I usually can't feel them on my lips after one minute of application (you have to stay without rubbing your lips for 30 seconds until it dries). I have dry lips and still wear them in winter. 😍 You can apply lip balm underneath or over it as required (although that compromises the transfer-proof-ness of them). Don't buy the minis, their formula is drier and also dries up in the tube itself. Try with one party wear shade, which you expect to wear only for a couple of hours. If you like it, you can get more whole-day shades. I have about 5-6 shades and although every youtuber hates it, I do not regret those purchases. 🤣🤣
One tip for touching up, which deepthi has also mentioned in a previous video: carry a bullet/crayon lipstick of the same shade to touch up, as you cannot touch up with the liquid.

Wonderful video as always Deepthi. Nowadays thanks to masks I’m becoming much more picky with makeup; already wasted enough money. I remember having a pizza with the Stila liquid lipstick once... by the time I was done I had a red French beard! Haha, super embarrassing. Come to think of it creamy matte bullet lipsticks are much more forgiving than liquid lipsticks.

Nykaa mini liquid lipstick madras kappi dried very fast.. even i didn't apply them much.. I have also the shade chai.. the mini and the bigger size.. I feel the formula of bigger size is better than the minis.. don't know what's other people faced the problem or its only me...
