You have got to be building the wildest creation yet! Nowhere near your setup. I’m in the process of building an awd 62 Falcon, using stock parts from gm and ford. My shoestring budget will never compare but I really digging this thing.

Great project Don, I too am a huge fan of the "figure-it-out as I go" approach! I'm a little further along with my mid engine awd build, but taking a more conventional approach with driveline choices by using Audi R8. Facing similar challenges with space. Also using a Ford powerplant in my vintage Chevy. I have to admit I didn't see the engine reversal coming in your previous episode, now that's true innovation... keep at it!
I just checked out your project and it is amazing! Make sure you keep rocking on it. Yea I just take it in steps and let it build up. The engine reversal was something that happened and after I sat back I said we are one to something now haha and thank you for the kind words it means a lot fabio!
This is a cool build. But, I have a question, that TCASE doesn't have a center differential or a clutch, it is not AWD, it is 4wd the way most people define it. Iit will only work in a straight line when on dry pavement. Do you plan to use it only for drag racing?
Well that would depend on how the application is to be used this will be full time locked. I will only use the front disconnect if I break a front axle or only have means to a rear wheel drive dyno. Or say i want to drift . I will be using wave trax differentials which will mechanically control the diffs so I will be able to drive in awd mode
I am really not trying to be a troll, I am just trying to help. The locked transfercase will not work on dry pavement if you want to turn. The wavetrax will not help this at all. I I am just trying to help so you aren't disappointed after putting so much effort into this cool build. I have built several AWD vehicles. My AWD turbo V8 Merkur was even difficult to turn after swapping to a stiffer Viscous Coupling in the Syclone TC. @@RetroFabworks

I teamed up with this awesome company who is designing a billet online viscous coupler. But trust me I love all the input whatever information I can get to make the build the most dialed in am In for !
Haha it was 1/3 of the price of a skyline case But I have a very special piece coming to make it awd which will raise total amount invest a bit. But still cheaper

Are you going to have to offset the rear diff? Surprised you didn't go glide or even GeForce trans. This is going to be narly brother!
So the output is directly in line with the crank output so nothing is offset which is amazing for my seat position haha

Could you possibly do a carrier bearing to dodge the starter and then angle from there back towards your front diff? Can’t wait to see more progress!
I have something going inline to it that will allow me to pivot the shaft that will be coming up in a video soon
