    Do we have KELLOGGS in the US? Yes, it’s an American Company & brand. “Corn Flakes” were invented in Michigan. This English girl made a video saying if Americans didn’t like baked beans it’s because we have never tasted “British ones” the right brand is Heinz! When she was told that Heinz is an American Brand & we have tons of Heinz products, she didn’t believe it until she googled it.

      @@AnAmericanMusician an unwashed/unscratched egg stored at 45F with proper humidity can usually last 6 months, or indefinitely in a completely sterile environment (theoretically.) Float test an egg to see if bacteria have produced enough gas to change buoyancy. It all depends on what gets into the egg first of all, and how fast it multiplies (depends on heat.)
      Edit: Foreign contaminants can be present on eggs since hens only have one exit, this is why the US industry must wash them.

    The USA has a lot of the same products. They are just labeled differently to meet the demographics of the area they are marketed to. Same for flavors. Example would be Coke Cola has a ton of flavors that we would consider disgusting but other countries love. Also, the UK has different criteria for what is considered safe to consume, so ingredients are varied to achieve the same product.

    Blackcurrants were removed from the US in 1911 and made illegal to import. It's still illegal to import blackcurrant from your country, most of the EU, and most of the UK. Consequently, there's almost nothing that flavor here, and almost no Americans eat them. Starting in the early 2000s some production in some US states started, but it's still extremely rare.

I grew up in Alaska shopping at Safeway and when I was in university in London I shopped at Safeway. My only major complaint is I hate currant berry but love black licorice. Even though Happy Valley, Labrador, Canada is nowhere near the British coast, Scotland came to us... in the form of our 5ft tall Mum from the Isle of Cumbrae. And since our town sprung up because of the airport established due to a secret WW2 agreement between the USA and the UK , we played host to both the American and British air forces for years. Not to mention the later arrival of the West German and Dutch air forces. So , yeah, we had all sorts of internal goodies growing up . Our eggs 🥚 have to be washed. Which means the natural protective coating is washed away. So, Once eggs are washed, they have to be kept refrigerated to keep them from spoiling. But seriously, who wants to buy eggs with chicken poop and other things all over them. If you raise your own chickens, then of course you can better ensure a more sanitary egg producing environment. But hard to do that in huge egg production farms.

    That seemed like a standard sized grocery store in America. We have a lot of regular grocery stores besides Wal-Mart & Costco. I actually prefer to go to Aldi. So much cheaper than most of the other stores here. Where I live, we have Publix, Harvey's, Winn Dixie, Rowe's, Sprouts, Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Trader Joe's, Aldi, Save a Lot, Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market (a small Wal-Mart that only sells groceries), & of course, Target & Wal-Mart. We also have Costco, Sam's Club, & BJ's wholesale clubs. I like to go to Aldi, & then Target for anything Aldi didn't have. Don't really like to go to Wal-Mart that much.

    You can immediately tell the difference between a U.K store and a U.S. it's too quiet. If that was a store here in the States, believe me, you could literally hear 250 people talking at one time.

    Another good one! Our eggs are shelf stable when they come right out of the chicken in the backyard. Once you refrigerate them, though, that's it. You can't let them warm up.

    • @VULVOLINE009

  • @nakuvamp
    @nakuvamp 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    American eggs gets washed during processing and it removes the protective coating so they go bad quicker if not refrigerated, farmers and such that use their own egg supplies dont have to refrigerate, but i believe if you sell the eggs they HAVE to go through that process

    Bro, everything there is so cheap... Like if I wanted to buy four cans of a shandy would be $2 and change for each can. A 2L of diet Coke is almost $4. I saw a watermelon a few weeks ago and they wanted $17 for it. Chicken over $14 a kilo, $6 for a dozen of eggs.
    From what I can see prices there are a third of the price that we pay here. In the mid-2000s you could fill your shopping cart for 150 bucks, and now you might be able to fill two bags for that price.

    She expected the pot noodles to come in a styrofoam cup because that's how those sort of cup noodles are always packaged here in the US. I would have expected styrofoam as well.
    Those prices seemed good. My experience with US vs UK supermarkets has been that your produce is much cheaper, while our junk food is usually cheaper. But these junk food prices seemed pretty congruent with ours (and of course, they weren't in the market for anything except for junk food yet because they have no way of storing perishables until they reach their AirB&B).

She was overwhelmed with choice of different brands of stuff that she hasn’t seen before. I’ve never seen Marmite in stores or the Angel Delights. We have some Dairy Milk products but not the things she showed. We have cookie dough and the chocolate fudge brownie flavors she showed…maybe there were others there and she just filmed the wrong ones.
