So very excellent tutorial.. Really appreciate it your contribution. From Argentina
Cool demo, Mark! I really loved the use of frames :-) Thank you!
I love this class! thanks Mark you are amazing!
Great demo ! I have only one problem : how can we print it recto verso ? And keeping format and image resolution!!! Can you explain it ? Thanks !
Great class Mark, I have one question. If I create a business card or any other project that needed to be printed and wanted to download it to take and have it printed professionally. What format would I want to have the business card or project in? Are you able to download your project from Canva in different formats? Thanks
Thanks, Scott! If you're going to print anything from Canva, you'll need to download the project as a PDF rather than an image. The image option is a PNG which works well for screen resolutions, but not for print. These are the only two options at this time.
You're welcome! Let me know if you have any other questions. Happy 4th to you and yours as well.
thanks bro for this brand video it's so helpful for me
Great video. After downloading the PDF file, I was not able to find the settings to print it doubled sided on a word business card template. What's the best way to print it double sided?
Thanks for the tutorial! Very nice cards!
Pretty good..I like it I've been searching and thinking how to make a nice business card ..thanks
Hello, my name is Diamond B. I use canva to make my flyers and posters at my school for art club but I want to start my own website and clothing company so I wanted to learn how to make business cards for my website. My main concern is printing them. Do I need a certain type of paper, and what kind and where can I get it from. Also, like I mention before I want to start my website but I want to sell hats as well. Do you know if its possible to design hat designs on Canva? If not what would you recommend.
I hit the 500 mark. Great video
9.46 how do you fill the down white gap of the card?nice videos at all

Amazing tutorial! thanks for this.

You're very welcome! I hope it works well for you. Let me know if there any other tutorials that you would like to see about Canva.
Mark Collier Hi Mark, I would be interested in hyperlinks? I assume the links are not live when its downloaded into an image/pdf. Is there anyway you could keep the link for people to be directed to web address or email address? for example poster for social media?
Tina Baxter Great question, Tina. The hyperlinks only work when you export as a PDF and if people view them as such. If it is exported as a PNG (image), links won't work. So for what you have in mind, links won't be maintained or useable since it's not possible in images that you share online. Here's a link to one of Canva's FAQ pages that talks about that a bit more. support.canva.com/hc/en-us/articles/201139174-How-do-I-add-a-hyperlink-to-my-design-
Amazing job, thanks for this tutorial.
You're welcome! Thanks for your comment. Let me know if there's anything else about Canva you'd like to learn.

what would you say is a good printer?
I NEED HELP I MADE MY CARD
but when i uplaod the pdf to vistaprint the image is super blurry
is there a company that can take a canva pdf and print them out well
How do we print these?
wow!
How do find the dimension of a business card or anything else.
For standard business cards in US, the size is 3.5 inches by 2 inches. But most printers actually require a total of 0.25 margin which means 0.125 inch all around the card. They also require that all the text or images must be within another 0.125 inch around the perimeter of the card. This is what Staples does.
So, in Canva, I choose Custom dimensions and put 3.75 x 2.25 inches. Canva actually then converts this into pixels and the canvas size Canva comes up with is 360px x 216px which means it is using 96dpi (3.75x96 = 360).
[Box #1] Next, what I do is pick one rectangle shape. Extend it to the edges of 360x216 canvas. Then, pull this rectangle 12 pixels from all four sides (because we need to have a boundary that is 0.125 inch all around and 0.125x96 = 12)
[Box #2] Then, put another rectangular box. Stretch it to the full 360x216. Then, pull it in by 24 pixels from all four sides.
So, the above two boxes become my boundaries that I need to stay within.
If you have any background color that touches Box #1 edges, you must extend that edge of the background color ALL the way to the "canvas edge" which is called bleeding.
You need to keep ALL your text, images etc. that you need NOT cut off during cutting of the cards inside of Box #2 boundary.
Take a look at the template at design.staples.com/dynamic/Content/documents/Category/Templates/en-us/BusinessCards/template.pdf
BONUS TIP #1: After you are done designing the card, select the Box #1 & Box #2 one by one and set their transparency to "0". So that you keep them in your design but will not be printed.
BONUS TIP #2: When you download PNG file of your business card, download the "PDF for Print" file as well. Then, use the PDF file to export to .TIFF file and use .TIFF instead because otherwise, some online programs will "bark" at you that the resolution is not high enough. Check to make sure the export from PDF to TIFF (or PNG) is good enough like the text color & sharpness didn't get messed up somehow. To convert, you could use Acrobat, PDFpen, or similar programs.
Hope it helps!
Tried this and it came out mega blurry in vistaprint.
This site looks similar to canva but it's for business cards only

Thanks for this tutorial! I wanted to ask how would you print it? Instead of just one how can you create multiple on one sheet to print out?
