Really makes you smile when someone builds something from nothing and beat the competition who have all the resources to hand, and being from Mexico even better, well done lads
I build robots, I use even the same IR sensors. I use Ultrasonic pings also but raised up to determine the height of the robot and to know to lift my little dozer higher so the other sumo doesn't stand a chance. Good job Mexico. - American and proud of Mexico.
Than do it , I just started yesterday , and I already have a working sumo drone. I would recommend buying a Arduino uno kit with it you can program chips to do whatever you want than you can get scrap electronics and make them into things.
This was really cool, I actually went to robogames this year and won 1st and 2nd place but in line following robots. Mexico is very powerfull in robotics
The americans where already celebrating before the match started, lol and these guys got their robots destroyed by us customs. And they still kicked everybody's ass . Well done
I miss F.I.R.S.T. robotics from my highschool days. I saw alliances between high schools from Palestine and Israel at the international championship. The culture must have been completely different in their robotic olympics because I never witnessed disrespect like that from any team in FIRST.
They copied this from the original one from Japan which are more heavier and more faster they are like lightning fast and they show this in most usa schools like robotics urban search and rescue and electronics and technology after school
Okay, having seen the japanese robots and the american ones.. you can't even compare them. It's like a piece of cloth against a rattlesnake. Still .. there is some potential lingering in those two mexicans :) Wonder what they do today
Yo amo la mini robótica para competencias (sumobots , seguidores de línea , micromouse ) y ustedes son una gran inspiración para mi ,,,, sigan adelante y espero le ganen a los japos y demuestren que México es un país muy talentoso
I didn't see a "racist American" or even the implication there was one, poor losers are poor losers. If I had put (possibly) thousands of dollars into a robot intending to win a competition I wouldn't be very happy either if I got beat by guys that built them out of scrap.

Made my eyes water, I love the underdog

Orgullo Mexicano son Los dos.
MotherboardTV is like the new Vice, before they sold out to HBO. Awesome film.

The people saying crap wouldn't even be able to re assemble an RC toy car if they took it apart.
I wish i could build things like robots from scrap electronics. Would be such a fun hobby.
I would love to have that drill and lathe.
i don't understand how they could have won 3'rd, 2'nd and 1'st place at the same time.
they have three different robots used in the robogames at the same time
pepe el toro
pistache
and the other robot that i forgot its name
Donde los puedo contactar ?
this is actually a good idea, make a customizable sumo robot fighting toy. This could give them funding for some of their more ambitious projects!!
Donde compraron las ruedas?
Esa mentalidad me gusta chicos

Nice...now there will soon be robot "coyotes" bringing people across our border. :-)
All kidding aside, these guys should definitely be commended.

Haha pretty cool
id buy that for like ten bucks ,they could be making real money instead of wasting time on competitions
Awesome!
