THIS is why I said yrs. ago, that PRAYING for Wendy Williams was a waste of time

  • Several years ago, when it seemed Wendy Williams was loosing her health, marriage, and family, there were tons of people saying they were praying for her. I made a broadcast sharing why praying for her wasn't going to work. Today, I share more on that.
    Wendy Williams' guardian filed a lawsuit against Lifetime's parent company. A woman named Sabrina Morrissey -- who says she's acting in her capacity as temporary guardian of W.W.H. (presumably Wendy Williams Hunter) -- just filed suit against A&E Television Networks, but she did it under seal. She has also asked for a restraining order!

    My View My Opinion, is a commentary podcast. Everything I share is my personal opinion and is NOT to be taken as fact. I observe public events, etc. and comment on them.

    FAQ:
    Who are you and what is your name?
    My name is My View My Opinion (MVMO) & I am a Podcaster, on TH-cam. Due to safety concerns on the internet, I do not share my personal information anymore and I ask that others respect this. Also, I'm against the cult of personality & the promotion of self. I have no desire to "make a name" for myself. That's odd in this day & time I know, because most strive for this. Too many folks make themselves the center of attention instead of helping others first & allowing the information they share to be the focus of folks attention. Many crave applause, acceptance, & "fans & followers". I believe in letting the information take center stage.
    Why don't you show your face?
    My TH-cam channel is host to my podcast. However, I do make on camera appearances from time to time & have many times in the past- as this is how my channel started, with me on camera talking about whatever. And for those who always ask, yes, I am a black woman, LOL!!!!

    With all due respect, we are all worthy of prayer and receiving positive, loving energy from spiritual beings. Perhaps Wendy didn’t make wise life choices. Perhaps she gained fame & worldly riches thru her brand of entertainment, which was basically thru others’ ruin or pain… but prayer is a loving positive intention that we convey towards others because Our heart has empathy or compassion. Ultimately it is God’s will that will bring about outcome.

    This was on time for me as well! I am going through a situation with my daughter, she stayed home until she was 26yrs, met a guy; then 4mos later they were married and she moved 3000 miles away. After 4 years of marriage, a big "disagreement" happened and now she is refusing to speak to certain members of her family (mainly her parents). BUT, her husband reaches out. After listening to you, I realized I have been praying incorrectly --- I have to accept if reconciliation is not her will, then it's not going to happen 😢. It's been one year since we have spoken. Thank you for your words of wisdom and for breaking down basic common sense.

    The alcohol abuse has changed Wendy's brain chemistry. It has changed her personality and she doesn't even realize it. As someone who has experienced my own personal struggle with substance use abuse in the past, I can almost guarantee that Wendy does NOT want to be drinking the way she does. At the time of the documentary it had just become a habbit, she was not "enjoying"it. She was just drinking to get drunk and drown out her pain (emotional and physical). She was self-medicating and probably suicidal. The alcohol tricks her mind into thinking that no one can see her dysfunction or personality change, but everyone can see it except her. I pray for her to realize she is powerless over alcohol at this pont. Once she accepts that, then it is her choice to seek help or remain beholden to it. For some people, it takes a major life changing event for them to realize the need help. I just pray that she doesn't hurt herself or someone else before she comes to that realization. Get better Wendy ❤💐🙏🏽.

    22:30 we had an uncle too that used to say he'll never get old and he'd pass away around 50 looking handsome and dressed real good. That uncle indeed passed away while healthy and doing good financially and always dressing as great as he used to dress, without no valid reasons. But one thing all family members remembered about him at his funeral, was how he always used to say he'd die just like that. People barely even cried, it's as if he was preparing people for his departure during all those years before. He repeated it so much, that no one was really shocked when it happened.

    I gotta be honest, when i saw the topic i was like "what the", so i clicked and actively listened, it immediately hit me, like a light bulb had come on, we have been praying for many years for my mother to stop drinking and stop the drugs, but i now understand we can want this all we want, but if she doesnt want to shes not, she has to wanna change, God doesnt force us to do anything, he gives us a choice, i also saw myself when you mentioned about Wendy knowing about Kelvin's cheating in the beginning yet she chose to stay with him, she knew who he was then, but chose to marry this man, sometimes we im including myself, break our own hearts, its so easy to blams someone else, when we should as grown adults take accountability for our own cboices in life, everything isnt always about what somebody did to us, but what we allow, and what we do to ourselves. Thank you for this, i apologize im a little long winded 😂❤💯

    I have tried to tell my family these things about my brother and I's estranged relationship. They have made comments about us both being Christians and didn't understand how in the world we do not have a relationship. I have explained to them that he does not want a relationship with me because he treats me like I am a stranger, and I am not feeling that. I do not pray for our relationship because he does not want one with me and shows me just how much he doesn't. So, I understand about a person's "will".

    I agree with your point on the will of a man/woman but the word also speaks of intercession which means I can pray to God on behalf of an individual that their desires i.e. will is changed. God will hear and answer that prayer if the request is within His will...

    • @mvmochannel
      @mvmochannel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      From your comment I can tell you do not know what real intercession is, so there is no point in this exchange. DO NOT try to change the narrative here, stick with the topic of the podcast, or else you're going to get yourself confused. Intercession will not change an INDIVIDUAL's will, that is called witchcraft, when you try to change a person's will. By the way, the point of no podcast is to agree with me - its best to simply share your thoughts on the issue or topic at hand

  • @littleeva
    @littleeva 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    The problem is that when people pray they ask, "God grant me my wishes" instead of "Thy will be done." No one knows God's will for themselves or anybody else. Many things I prayed for, I didn't get, and today I'm grateful that I never got what I wanted. We don't know God's will for Wendy Williams either. It's like God saying, here's your choice, it's up to you to pick it.

  • @MsJules
    @MsJules 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

    I disagree. We can intercede for people that are struggling in sin

    • @mvmochannel
      @mvmochannel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      sigh....so you don't understand what it means to intercede nor do you understand what sin is. There is SIN then there are bad habits - like drinking. They are NOT the same. Since I can see you don't have that basic understanding, it would be a waste of time to try to explain intercession and what that really is. God bless you. But it would do you good to study how intercession is to be used, and it IS NOT to be used to change a person's will - that is called Witchcraft....sigh.....

    I have never seen your posts, but I truly enjoyed this truth that you spat out! I knew and understood what you said, but I was caught up in, what I had been taught. It sounds crazy to me to even say that, but your teachings can overcloud your common sense. I have prayed for a family member from a baby and I helped raise him. I taught him that there is a God and some scripture. I was under the impression that he had a mental problem and was told by a doctor a few days ago, that he doesn't. Initially, I couldn't fathom that he doesn't, that it's just behavioral. That psychiatrist was telling me that he wants to be disgustingly nasty to the point of being homeless!😮. When I say, as soon as I smell a little mustiness, I HAVE to WASH!!! Not him. I just couldn't fathom it! However, I thought about it and began to realize that the doctor is correct. I decided to have a talk with him and HE confirmed it!😮. So, now I'm about to put him out again for good, because now I realize that he still never intended to do the right thing, even though he came to me.
    If they don't want to change, let them go!

    When it comes 2 disagreeing, I think people r on the defensive instead of processing the info 1st. It's okay 2 disagree, but it helps 2 listen & take n what is being said. It may not sound favorable, but that is life. Listening & processing allows us 2 make sound judgments, even if it's not 2 our liking.

    • @mvmochannel
      @mvmochannel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Well the thing is most don't disagree they make statements, which is not the same. Disagreement is an opinion, but ppl who change the facts, get off on something that has nothing to do with it, etc, those aren't disagreements. I actually prefer real disagreement vs agreement, but often we just make statements not give our own opinion on the topic.

    I struggle to understand the concept of free will when it involves trauma inflicted on the innocent that for many, forever alters their mindset?????

    • @mvmochannel
      @mvmochannel  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      It's simple. As I already shared it's the job of those around the innocent to protect them. If adults don't protect children, that's the adults fault. It's starts and stops there. It's nothing to be confused about unless a person is making it more complicated than it is. Don't do that okay, just understand just as you have a free will so do others. You can both exercise it in any way you choose. It may help to listen to this podcast a few times. I've kept it simple enough, on purpose, for anyone to understand whether they believe in God or not. Free will is something we all do understand. We may not like what ppl choose to do with theirs but we do all understand the basic concept.

      Actually that is not true. I have worked with many addicts and most who get free through hard work, say they get to a point where they no longer have the desire - that's how the stay free, now if someone is still fighting the desire for the substance vs being free , then yes, for them, they will have the desire always.

    You can still pray for a person …I think that would be blessings for you …that at least shows you care …..I agree a person has their own will and they will do what they want to do (choices in life) we don’t know what people really go through…childhood experiences that mold us into adulthood and how we “deal” with life onwards but we all choose to do good or bad …I’d say you should never give up your own life for someone that is giving up theirs but still have the compassion Jesus had for us when we sinned ….he did say as he was dying on the cross ….father forgive them, for they not know what they do …Luke 24:34 🙏🏽

      Its very important to listen IN CONTEXT. It was never said, NOR implied that it isn't good to pray for a person. Where did this come from? In this podcast it is being discussed the USE of prayer when it comes to a person's free will and MANY examples given. Stick with the topic, don't try to read into what is being said and walk away with something that was never stated is always my advice

    Hi i like your commentary. In my opinion though I believe the people do have a will but it is also a stronghold and sometimes that can be hard to break. Does prayer work I believe it can cause it has for those I prayer for before with strongholds.I am not debating this is just my thoughts or what i have also read according to what I have read. All in Love!!

      Lol, I'm not sure why you feel it necessary to say it's all in love. If you have a different opinion based on facts then by all means state it. debates are welcomed here. So using your logic : Cain killed Able because he had a stronghold? If strongholds play a part in things the way you're saying it, why didn't God himself mention these things when dealing with human beings and their decision making? Have you been around lots of teachings about devil's, demons, and the like? I'm just asking, all in love of course, 😁

    Sooo deeeep
    I remember telling my mom a couple years ago that her prayer was the equivalent to black magic.
    She told me she'd pray that something life altering (even if it's bad) would happen to give someone a wake up call, w/e it takes!! Literally praying something negative over someone in hopes for a positive result from it.
    Im glad God doesnt respond to those prayers, & i hope he doesnt reflect those prayers on the person who prayed them 🙈
    I remember praising & worshiping at home, & the person living w/ me was being annoying & rude in the other room. I immediately had an angry outburst, & then felt so guilty. I looked to God like why'd you let me do that?!?! I always thought the closer i got to Jesus, the less id want to be fleshly. The less id sin & do bad things. I honestly still dont have the answer to that, b/c if Jesus cant change me, what can? How did Peter gain control over his impulsiveness? 🤷🏽‍♀️ idk

    Thanks for this ! I often struggle praying for others who are making bad choices. I don't want to pray my will or agenda. Would you mind giving an example of how you would pray for Wendy or anyone acting on their own will and going against Gods!

      Don't. Focus on yourself and learn from their mistakes.

      be sure you listen in context, don't be so emotional you comment off a title, get control of yourself, and go from there, we all have to do that if a subject is triggering

    Excellent podcast ! We all have free will . I've known this my whole life. You can hope and pray for someone but if they personally choose to keep doing whatever they want to do , good or bad , it won't help them .
    I've never seen it more than with Trump and dictators . They have fully chosen to hurt people.
    No matter how it hurts my heart , prayer won't change that. Ive chosen to prayer for those affected by the evil and hurt . ❤

    Her style is gonna be missed. It’s good to mix it up and not have such niceties on daytime TV. It’s good to grovel and get gossipy and dirty sometimes. Now all these talk shows are all the same.

    Why doesn't this god intervene when somebody is being affected by someone else's use of their free will? Bogus

      Because they both have free will. Otherwise we would all be robots.
