    I love it. There is something about these Darby handcuffs that screams ancient history before handcuffs got their more modern look. Also this Darby handcuff has some similarities to the Darby handcuff I purchased recently. The one I purchased has a more shiny nickel look and weighs around 18 ounces. Congrats again on the buy!

      Thanks. If only it were possible to see how they were used in the past and situations they have seen action in. Old handcuffs would probably have a lot of tails to tell lol. For all I know, these 1943 handcuffs secured a Nazi commander who was brought back and squeezed for important information at some base camp lmao. And here I am completely oblivious about it all lol.

      @@SilentButDescriptive you’re absolutely right, I was actually thinking the same thing about Darby Handcuffs. I would love to see how they were used back then to detain suspects because they don’t slap on the wrist like modern handcuffs. Darby restraints need to be unlocked first.

      They are nice and they still work nice and smooth, even after so many years and quite possibly being in a war zone!

      Thanks. They are nice and there can be quite a lot to know about some cuffs lol. I know a bit about Darby but there's so many in the world I do not even know exist, let along knowing anything about them 😁

      @@SilentButDescriptive thanks for the reply, yes there's definitely lots to learn 😊out of curiosity....what's the cuff size difference compared to normal Darbys, they looked so tight on you

      @@Nicks-Picks It is night and day different. If you check some of my other videos on Darby you might be able to tell. Some are tighter than others. My 1949 military HIATT ones are almost this tight. But most Darby I have had have plenty of room for me. But HIATT darbies came in 3 sizes, so there will be the odd few out there that run more small than others. The 1950s JG I had which I just sold were a tiny bit even tighter than these 1943 ones.

      @@SilentButDescriptive well there's something else I didn't know, Darbys in three sizes. Thanks for that but if info. I have a pair of Hiatt Darbys which my mum gave to me from when she was in the police force in the 80's which were given to her by her Sargent as he left the force about the same time apparently. I've still yet to do a vid on them as. It goes, maybe tomorrow now I'm feeling freshly inspired 😊👍🤜🤛

    Hello, do you have an H type carrying set?

      H type carrying set? Not sure what you mean?

    • @SilentButDescriptive
      @SilentButDescriptive 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      If you mean the H style transport restraint set, I do not have that. I have the regular handcuffs connected to leg irons one from Chicago and Peerless. I do not have the type that has the belly chain one.
