I think it was because it was on normal difficulty. Most challenges are set on normal difficulty. He usually plays on hard where everything is, well, harder. Also....... Brother?

And yes, now it's active all the time but it doesn't slow down enemies as much as it used to, it's still really good though

The best part is none of that had anything to do with the stopwatch, it was the difficulty
Just like the flamethrower, Rosary also wasn't trash because it's a Tears Up now
And I'm pretty sure you can take 2 items with Jacob and Esau
Also since it adds the bible into the item pools and makes it way more common and you win on mom's heart it's kind of really good
Also in a world where soul/black hearts are scarce the extra soul hearts are a godsent

Don't buff just one characters, upgrades get diminishing returns, so technically you can squeeze out more damage by spreading the upgrades.
In theory, sure. But in practice, I've had much better results with focusing the damage on Esau.
Good luck trying to do that when there aren't even item rooms. It's easier to accomplish when you get something like Adoption Papers so that both brothers can have their fair share of familiars (assuming you can keep getting the money for it).
I usually buff the ones with the higher base stats, tears and luck based effects to Jacob and damage to Esau. Range, shot speed, and hp are spread however to make the tears easier to hit and keep them alive
Focus damage and tears on esau and luck effects on jacob, you gotta utilise the starting stats
diminishing returns, but also multiplicative synergy between damage and tears, so hard to say. in practice i've found stacking one to be far better.

Bumbino can puck up coins, and if he gets enough, he’ll give you an item and leave.
(Ive only done this once in Greed Mode, but it shouldnt be hard to replicate in Greed Mode, since Bumbino is one of the possible Devil Deal waves for the Caves.)

fun fact for challenges: if you feel like a challenge doesn't have enough challenge you can use a sacrifice room to break past the boss limit and instead go to dark room

I didn't want to spoiler Repentance to myself, because I play on PS4 and Repentance release on it will only at autumn. But so many TH-cam videos on this theme made me to abandon this idea, and now I know almost all about Repentance))))

I finally managed to complete this challenge myself. Mom's Box was a great investment cuz it gave me the Adoption Papers. I was able to buy a whole bunch of familiars from Basement II onward that wouldn't have been available otherwise. Some of them produced Conjoined or Conjoined-like effects (Twisted Pair for Jacob, 3 regular babies for Esau), while others produced slowing creep for additional damage control (Juicy Sack for Jacob, Lil Spewer for Esau). On top of that, I encountered 2 libraries, and one of them had Book of Shadows.
As an aside, for anyone wondering how difficult the Double Mom's Heart/It Lives fight actually is...well, it could've been worse. Thankfully, they only have double bullets, no additional enemies spawning whatsoever. I wish it were that simple when I went up against Double Matriarch...jfc, I still don't know how I managed to survive that with such low health...

They actually buffed the Rosary, it gives a +0.5 tears up now as well as 3 soul hearts and 1/3 seraphim. It's not godhead but it's better than the mark imo.
I hate Jacob and Esau just based on how awkward they are to play as, I find giving Jacob slightly more HP (because he is mostly the one facing the enemies), and all the luck items and items that are affected by luck (like holy shot), and Esau as much damage ups as possible it makes it easier.

Challenges are on the Normal-Modedifficulty not Hard-Modedifficulty. Thats why Shotspeed and same Enemies are slower + Stopwatch
One of my best runs involved Spider Butt and Hive Mind and I was constantly running into the yellow spider spawners. I let all of the yellow spiders spawn then used the spider butt to kill ALL of them, getting spiders for each one killed. Mom lasted all of a frame.
There is a reason why you don't see a snail icon on enemies while stopwatch is active. Simply put, you can now slow enemies even when they're slowed by the stopwatch, these debuffs can stack now.

Increased movement and shot speed for enemies is from the hard mode setting. Challenges are in normal mode.
When repentance came out people knew spoilers were going to be out there. Don’t let people go to your content expecting you to not play the new dlc. Keep up the good content Hutts!

I don't think there even are such things as spoilers...this game IS a story line and we're just being introduced to different lore! You still get to unlock things in a randomly generated floor/run so chill out people. Isaac is a story! its an experience, nothing to spoil.

New challenge the void rules void all passive items start with all trinkets by using smelter and all active items by using the void you must either go to ???,mega Satan, the lamb,delium or the beast so one of the final bosses.
Another thing you can't avoid while leaving the title bland, is people who wanted that, watching it, and then seeing spoilers. The only good middle ground is being vague about it, and you've done a great job. Don't worry about the minority that likes to find something to complain about.

I'm fine with spoilers. some of the secrets in isaac are a little well hidden, and I would have never figured it out by random. Like unlocking the tainted characters, it already takes me a while to even get to the beast, and randomly figuring that out probably would have never even occurred for me.

When playing as Jacob and Esau and there is two items to choose from you can positionate them in a way where if you touch both items at the same time you get to keep both

tbh, the dlc has already been out for a while now. those who REALLY cared wouldve gotten the dlc and unlocked all the secrets by now.

I totally see your point and I think you're completely right but (just an example for bad and good) instead of putting THE BEAST in the thumbnail and title you could also write TRUE SECRET FINAL BOSS and then put a blacked out version (or censored in another way) in the thumbnails for like three weeks. I think that would get even more attention and also wouldn't make you unsympathic to potential new viewers who are seeing your channel for the first time. It's too late now but that's just how I would've handled it.

I actually love watching videos like this, with Hutts struggling and making mistakes. It makes me feel less bad about my own runs. Reminds me that it's a pretty hard game, where even people who've put thousands of hours into it can struggle, take damage, and loose Angel/devil deals
