Worked! One side of my oven handle fell off, so I googled. Your vid helped me reinstall it in less than 15 minutes. I can only imagine what the time frame/cost would’ve if I’d hired someone. Thank you!
My problem is that one of the plastic threads in the door handle has broken and won't hold onto the screw. The oven door is an old model to which spare parts such as a door handle are no longer being sold. I would need to find a way to repair the broken of threader that can still withstand a little bit of heat that escapes the oven and heats up the bottom of the handle.
@@thebearcouncil8810 Thanks for watching. You could look for a similar model by the same manufacture. There have been changes made over years but there might be a model with a handle that has similar spaced screws. You could look up some close matches and bring in your old handle to a store to try to match. As for repairs, there are high temp epoxy and other adhesives that would help repair the handle. Though the bond might weaken with repetitive use so it's hard to say how well it would work.
