Scarce late 19th century engraved bird's eye view. Lettered key at bottom corners identifies 35 different major local locations or features in Brunswick and Topsham, including the beautiful campus of Bowdoin College.
Nice looking example, pleasing age patina, small light scattered staining, various old fold lines, some repairs on reverse, some wrinkling to paper, any minor age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
Despite the wear, still a nice looking view and scarce in any condition.

Rare promotional premium pictorial puzzle box & puzzle, with separately printed color folding map at same scale as the puzzle. Map printed on both sides. We have assembled the map and it appears to be missing four pieces or so (top border area of British Columbia, Arkansas, Iowa and the piece of CT./ Mass.- sold as is. The color map could easily be copied and pasted onto thin cardboard to replace the missing pieces if desired. Rare in any condition.
Puzzle is well over 100 years old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.
Remains overall attractive as a fragile 19th century cardboard and paper object.
Box is edge worn, splitting along right side which has been neatly backed inside with old paper to stabilize and support it, one other small minor paper repair inside lid, light soiling, gently toned, still well preserved, sound, appealing in appearance. Rare in any condition.
Item displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
Please review photos for more detail showing how this antique cartographic curiosity survives. The asking price reflects the condition based on our examination and 35+ years full time exposure to antiquarian books, maps and ephemera. Flaws seen and described have been taken into account.
