This car is priced stupidly well in Australia, I think it will sell very well here.

I bought the BYD HAN founder's edition in China, 0-100km/h in 3.9s. You guys NEED to do a review on that! My favorite 4-wheeled toy to boot!
I really like the exterior and interior of this car, a good design which looks reassuringly well built and robust. Hope its not too expensive when it lands in the UK.

I really liked when I had a look round. I think it should do well. This interior is much better than most cars in the class. It should do well. The air vents are inspired by gym weights

Pretty nice car! Would be a good replacement for my ageing Audi A4 avant. It even has comparable boot space. Sadly, BYD (or Tesla for that matter) are still not sold in Bulgaria, so I'll have to wait.
Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of BYD ATTO 3 2022 : 5 stars
I like BYD seal the most.
I'm looking forward to seeing this in the UK. The fact it just received a 5* EURO NCAP rating is very reassuring but without Android Auto or Car Play it's a nonstarter for me. That centre screen looks like a feature that will cause reliability issues in the future. I know other companies have said they won't do this due to the reliability of it.
Wait really? Haven't studies shown that Android Auto / Carplay are an absolute necessity for like 90% of carbuyers? seems like an oversight

I'll be surprised if this car will eventually be allowed for sale by the UK gov. They'll probably ban it because some political mentality bullshit.
I agree on the Build Your Dreams text 😅 Might as well slap a live laugh love sticker on your rear windscreen. Unfortunately that is production at least in China, they really should just rip that off and put the same BYD badge from the front on the back.
BYD's founder and boss insists on it apparently. Although the man did go from starting a company selling aftermarket phone batteries in 1995 to the world's largest EV maker with a market cap of 100 billion USD, so build your dreams indeed! I foresee many customers waiting with a blow dryer and floss in hand before taking deliver!

Build Your Dreams is spelt out on the back of all their vehicles. I own this vehicle in blue like your review vehicle, it's Awesome for 51,000 Australian dollars for the extended range Atto 3 with all the standard safety equipment and including a 60.4kw LFP blade battery. We also get a $3,000 AU dollar Ev rebate from our state government.
The red cords can be removed with a Phillips head screwdriver.
The cd vents are meant to represent dumb bells found at a gym and the white interior on the dash and doors is meant to represent muscles fibres found in the human body.
The silver panel on the side of the vehicle behind the back door is meant to be dragon scales, it's a Chinese brand of Ev, even the front headlights and the rear lights are dragon theme inspired.

@@autogefuehl no, the white parts of the lower dashboard and door cards with the grooves in them are meant to represent muscle fibres.
@@autogefuehl by Christmas we will have wireless Android Auto and wired Apple carplay. I just got as an OTA update Navigation, Spotify and voice recognition commands.

The interior is supposes to be GYM like, the flow of lines is like a fresh meaning that its like a pulse.. The vents are suppose to mimick the dumbels.
In 2014 I bough i30 wagon in my country for only 12000euros. Nowadays You can't buy VW Up! for that money, and overall, all the cars are insanely priced, especially EVs. I'm gonna drive my car until it can go or manufacturers get reasonable with prices again.

You are the next country for the BYD Atto 3. Should go on sale towards the end of 2022/early 2023 to be followed sometime in 2023 by the BYD Dolphin hatchback and the BYD Seal sedan.

@@richardjohnson5529 here in Australia the standard range Atto 3 with the 50kw LFP blade battery is meant to have a range of 345km and the extended range with the 60.4kw Blade LFP battery is meant to have a 420km range.
Probably these ranges would be achieved with city driving but freeway/highway drive more like 290km for the standard range Atto 3 and around 390km for the Extended range Atto 3.
Both versions have the same features and equipment with there being an additional $3,000AU dollar difference for the extended range battery.
White is free, all other external colours cost an additional $700 Au dollars.
Standard range Atto 3 starts at $43,361 plus on road costs and the extended range starts at $46,361 plus on roads costs we have 10 percent GST goods and services tax here like your VAT in the UK, so the gst gets added to the final price.

BYD is the 2nd BEV Car Company worldwide. Just behind the TESLA. They could be also one of the largest Car Company worldwide by 2030.

@@autogefuehl Nope, regarding BEV sales. Very often electric sales in China are counting all NEV so not only full BEV cars(exaple PHEV) And for NEV BYD overtook TESLA but not in full BEV Car sales

Hey Brian, did you notice that the driver’s n front passenger headrests are NOT adjustable?
That's correct the front seat headrest are not adjustable, but the seats themselves are super comfortable and are electrically adjustable. The rear seats have adjustable headrests.

VW needs to be very very afraid of BYD. Even though BYD already sells a very popular BEV/PHEV compact crossover in China called the Song Plus (45,000 units sold JUST IN SEPTEMBER), they still managed to also sell 23,000 Atto 3s in China.
Meanwhile VW is working with their two giant state owned JV partners (SAIC and FAW) to build the ID.3, ID.4 CROZZ, ID.4 X, ID.6 CROZZ, and ID.6 X in China. That's right, VW is selling FIVE versions of ID cars in China, and in September, all five ID cars put TOGETHER sold 10,300 cars.
... and something like 40% of VAG's revenue and profits come from China

what is the big deal about build your dream? a hairdryer and 10 minutes solve the problem if you cannot stand it.
The interior deisgn language came from (Chinese Dragon) muscles, Fitness, and Rock & Roll.
As you could clearly see the muscle fibre lines in the trims/panels, dragon scale seating pattern(not shown in video), and the door handles/gear knob/vents are there to represent dumbbells and barbells etc.
Batteries and charging by BYD are adapted for the Chinese GB/T standard not CCS2. Charging times of "30% to 80% in just 29 mins" ("High-speed charging is possible, with a charging capacity of DC 88kW") are not industry standard. Check out Bjørn Nyland's BYD Tang review... BYD has still a lot of work to do. I don't know why SIXT would plan with this mediocre electric car. ps BYD should pay its customers for that interior.

The future of motoring…a box of white goods styled in ultra bland with an interior that will appeal to children. It is a transport box for families who hate driving…who could buy this thing and say they were an interested driver? It is neatly and artfully designed…but the very last thing I would buy and think of those electronics watching and listening to every move you make and everything you say. The gullible will think it is superb…well you can buy the thing.😣

While European manufacturers pulled out of Russia to stop funding their economy and war, Chinese manufacturers are still investing in Russia.
