If you dont find new music you like, youre not looking in the right places, or youre not approaching it open mindedly. A shame. The best art was never intended for the mainstream, so to judge a generations art by looking at the mainstream is foolish, even in the 2000s there was enough trash in the mainstream to wrongly perceive the new generations art of that time. To find art you can appreciate you need not only look back, but also forward. If you truly love music, you dont want it caged and stagnating, but rather evolving into something new constantly, change has always brought new beautiful music, such as this. As in every other aspect of life, to fall into frustration and an illusion of "the good times being over" is the easy way out, try to challenge yourself to move with the times, and make the most of it.

When Serial Experiments Lain was released in 1998, I was born. As I approached twenty, I was scared of becoming an adult and tried to end my life before reaching that milestone. It was around that time that I first came across this song and lain. Since then, many things have happened, but now, six years later in 2023, I'm still here. While it might not have been a major influence, it filled a void in my life. Thank you, Bôa and lain.
I was born in 97, I had heard of Lain before, but only got around to watching it about 2 months ago. It took me back to the late 90's and some of my earliest memories, and yet the feeling it gives has carried on to the present day. Duvet perfectly matches the simultaneous coldness of the internet and the nearly infinite information and connections that can be found there. There's a sense of melancholy that the real world has become secondary to the wired and wireless world.
My mom found you guys thanks to Lain, and fell so in love with your music that some of my earliest memories are from listening to this CD with her. I grew up knowing every line to this song, and still sing it with every ounce of my being every time it comes on. There is something so ethereal yet wholly human to all your music. A feminine power that's kept me going my whole life. I'm so incredibly stoked that you're dropping a new album! Congrats, and thank you all for your hard work!

i love u bôa. duvet helped me so much. i’m a recently recovered alcoholic. i used to drink 24/7 and i couldn’t stop because i didn’t have access to the medical care i needed to detox from it. so i would listen to ur song every night when i was in my deepest despair. i think it was some of the only times i could feel peace. so i appreciate u a lot for making this piece of art that was there for me when no one and nothing else was. i cry in a bittersweet sort of way when i hear this song now. it makes me think of my alcoholism but its still an escape for me and reminds me that even when i was neck deep in some of the worst depression and substance abuse that a person can experience, that music could still help me feel peace, even if for just a moment. great song. i also love ur song twilight
I am from Asia. The impact this song has given at the times when I felt really down and felt like I lost it all. But then when the hook part of the guitar starts it makes me feel like life has given me a second chance to do what I am supposed to do and everything feels soothing. I was at University in the UK when Boa Duvet came out and absolutely loved the tune Forgot about it and only when my teenage daughter was playing music in her room and I heard it I rushed into room and sat on her bed and listened in wonder. This is so special. I heard this for the first time when I was just out of high school. I'm 43 now, and really love that the band came together to film a new video.
So dope that they did a 2023 music video update. As much as I love the original music video and the callback to it (along with the twilight album), it’s nice to see a more emotive music video that’s more closer to the song, but also the history of the band too. Been waiting years for a new album, and so glad that there’s been a resurgence and appreciation for Rogers and the band. Looking forward to the new album! Present day, present time. Haha.

i love u bôa. duvet helped me so much. i’m a recently recovered alcoholic. i used to drink 24/7 and i couldn’t stop because i didn’t have access to the medical care i needed to detox from it. so i would listen to ur song every night when i was in my deepest despair. i think it was some of the only times i could feel peace. so i appreciate u a lot for making this piece of art that was there for me when no one and nothing else was. i cry in a bittersweet sort of way when i hear this song now. it makes me think of my alcoholism but its still an escape for me and reminds me that even when i was neck deep in some of the worst depression and substance abuse that a person can experience, that music could still help me feel peace, even if for just a moment. great song. i also love ur song twilight

This is so special. I heard this for the first time when I was just out of high school. I'm 43 now, and really love that the band came together to film a new video.

So dope that they did a 2023 music video update. As much as I love the original music video and the callback to it (along with the twilight album), it’s nice to see a more emotive music video that’s more closer to the song, but also the history of the band too. Been waiting years for a new album, and so glad that there’s been a resurgence and appreciation for Rogers and the band. Looking forward to the new album! Present day, present time. Haha.

I did not understand this song when I first heard it during the opening of SEL in the early 2000's, but now as a 30 something year old I can see and feel its depth and soul. Thank you Boa for bringing the human race another work of healing living art!

I'd hear this song on occasion throughout my life. Never even knew it was used as the opening for Lain. My roommate listens to it all of the time. It's thanks to her that I added it to my playlist.
