Thanks I appreciate the love big bro. It was a trip I’ll remember for the rest of my life. Sorry to hear ur pops isn’t with us any more. And I appreciate you watching.
I drove real white freightliners on International Transport in the early sixties. 335 and 380 Cummins, 4x4 trans geared for 75 mph, about 20% of interstate hysteria complete. We hauled cat , Vietnam war stuff outa Mechanicsburg pa, lumber Hides to chips falls wi, still making shoes here in those days
Yea those where the days i couldn’t have said it better. But our 4x4 with its current set up tops out 52mph. She had 529 rears in her at the moment but that’s good change real soon
I went to the white Freightliner factory in Portland, Oregon in the summer of 1967 and got to watch my new tractor being built. It had a 335 Cummins, Jake Brake, Spicer 4x4, and best padded interior and air conditioning. I drove it back to the dealer in Sacramento with two more decked behind it. Thought I died and went to Heaven. Was my wife's first overnight in truck.
@@One_luv_logistics Freightliners plant back then was very small and the people were so friendly. You could walk around with one of the bosses on the line and get up close and personal with your truck as it was moving from station to station while it was being built. That trip from Medford I drove many times to Winnemacca, Nv hauling feeder cattle, Bill
West Georgia. We have a truck show 3rd Saturday in October. ATHS West Georgia Chapter. We’d love to have you join us and show off the 67. Probably be the only two sticks transmission there.
Nice. I knew I wasn't tripping when I saw some of the trucks on your channel parked in country part of Barnwell SC. Small world we live in I'm from Allendale lol
We had a little heat but I wasn’t working to good and it got below freezing real quick. The first night was horrible but the next morning we bought a heater buddy and it wasn’t to bad after that. Thanks for watching
Yea she did pretty good. We didn’t have to do any thing to her but wire up some tail lights and add the fog lights. We never even shut it off from the time we pick it up at the auction to when we got home. And we had her tached out the whole trip at about 52-55 mph lol
@@Ploshorts6you can have air brakes on a non cdl vehicle as long as it is registered under 26,000 pounds. There are plenty of Penske rental trucks set up that way
Your a funny dude. I’m sure you did do all that WHEN IT WAS A BRAND NEW TRUCK. The point wasn’t that we went across country. The point was we did it in a 60 year old truck we never even seen before. Most people would even think about taking that trip but me and me pops did it
Love it, love it, love it.!! Wish my dad were still here so we could take an old school truck road trip. Thanks for sharing and be safe.

Can you do that for personal use without a CDL
Yes I believe you can. You would just have to register it under 26,000 pounds not for hire and you could drive it wild a regular license… I think
I don't no I thank. You. Need. cDl

Big deal I use to drive them daily hauling coast to coast , you kids are way behind in times.
