yes, I just ordered one as my first car. I just made my driving license and need the car only as hobby. I wanted a small and safe car for the city and country roads. The range is good enough for where I live and want to go to in the next future. I test drove one, and was totally convinced. For me, it is a little luxury sports car, but hey, I am over 50 now and waited long enough. :)
I have been waiting one, but electric cars here in US are too huge for my taste. Finally, mini electric came around. Cost is another concern, but for a middle class incomer, I am able to manage. With everything accounted, the cost came to around 35,000 dollars.
@@PeakPerformanceReviews I was told that the EV Mini is completed in its production stage and is on its way here to my state. It was scheduled to arrive in May. I will be trading my Honda fit as the down payment. I still have a good amount of monthly payment to make. Thanks for a great video!

Just paid £23k for a two month old one with 950 miles on the clock and a level 3 including a few options including exterior black pack, black beltline, rear tinted wheels, from a bmw mini dealer. Sound like a good deal to me so took the plunge to our first ev so fingers 🤞
Awesome Peter it’s such a great car. I think as long as your not going long distances you really will find this to be the perfect nice step into a fast fun EV. Keep in touch and let us know how it all goes ❤️🙌
I honestly don’t know and didn’t notice it, it’s strange because at first you can’t see it then during the video about 3 mins you can see it. I can only assume some dirt got on the window and we wound down the window and it smudged it but I don’t think scratched. Hard to say but it’s a press car I’m sure they sorted it, thanks for watching and well done for the eagle eye’d observation that was impressive 🙌
GREAT review. I just bought a Mini SE in the USA about 600 miles ago. My range is in the 110 miles range and I simply love the car. Like most it is not my only car- have an M2 for weekend car and Lexus NX 350 hybrid for road trips. The drive is excellent (better than my M2?) comfort is fantastic- and it is plenty fast and handles like the Go-Kart that is the Mini hallmark. And it is built like a BMW vault- great work at the factory Brits! No rattles no squeaks. Couple of negatives- 1> EVERY car needs Blind spot monitoring - especially for a 2023 model, 2> No AM radio in USA? should be and yes, 50 more miles of range would be absolutely perfect- 3> oh and the head up display is a useless waste of money. 4> And while I LOVE the center display binnacle, but the number for the range thats left is tiny and is put there like an afterthought- While of course NO car is perfect, none of these are deal breakers as this car has met all of my expectations, in the "honeymoon" phase at least. Again- great review.
Thank you so so much for the kind comments it means a lot and it’s nice to hear thank you. I love the fact you have epic cars and very different ones too and that kinda shows that imo your opinion is a good one. Thanks for also listing the insightful list of honestly negatives too, it’s always better from the horses mouth from someone who had the car for a good amount of time. Thanks again for the awesome comments and thank you so much for watching. Please stick around and subscribe as we need more good people like you on here 🙌❤️ thanks again.
Compared to the iD3 & iD4 pool cars I sometimes use, this is a way better drivers car. I tried one for about 120 km on regional and rural roads but 100 meters was enough to convince me. Totally agreed with this review. I am holding out for the next gen in about a year, with 50 kWh and 225 PS.
I’m yet to get to drive the ID range cars but that sounds about right as I think in this category so far it’s the most nimble of cars I’ve tried and feels amazing. Good review. I have this car. Great car for town and you can do road trips now and again. I'm getting 8.1kms per kwh. You rarely need to use the brake, just mainly use the regen. I wasn't aware the green+ has greater regen. I will have to try it. I like the stiff steering in sports mode. Thanks.
I was very impressed, for a car with a fairly small battery it’s great, love the way it drives too. Glad your enjoying the car and glad you liked the review. Thanks and for watching, please stick around and subscribe as we need more good people like you on here 🙌✅👍
Finally a review that shows real world acceleration numbers! Too many reviews state the 7.3 stat and leave it there, thanks for testing it! Best I've had from mine thus far is 6.2 😂
Thanks Drew, appreciate that and glad you liked that. Mega bit of kit and damn quick too I was well impressed. @Peak Performance Reviews Subscribed, I enjoyed your 500e video too.Yes I'm from the UK and I went for an entry level model in Moonwalk Grey with the plug socket wheels (I for one love them) I figured I'd go for the entry level for maximum value as the car invoice was only £26,000 in July of 2021 so I avoided the price hike that seems to have come about on them

But the tyres matter, Sport, Mid, Green, Green +, but the button 2nd from left is Regen or Reduced Regen. 2nd From the Right, TC, Dynamic, hold 3 seconds Dynamic off. Where does 140 plus real world come from, 110-114 miles, Yes everything off, perfect temperature and road and regen and you can Hypernile to 140 miles.
Yep so I was very pleased to manage 6.7, other cars these days smash there figures but I couldn’t get better than that. That’s for that, wish I had more time with it. My friend another media tester got 153 miles without too much of a problem when they had the exact same car as a press car so was quoting this because of them. I was getting 110-128 personally but I have a heavy-ish right foot.
No way does a 50 kW charger put in 29 kWh in 30 minutes. But you can charge from near empty to 100% in between 40- 60 minutes but you are no way getting more than 11 kW in for the last 10%..
@@PeakPerformanceReviews your terms are wrong. Fast chargers are 7 or 11kW AC. The rapid with the MINI is 50 CCS DC. It will do the first 80% in 30 off minutes. Not 20 - 100 %>. Did you not charge it,?
I didn’t charge it, unless they are lent to us as a long term fleet we sometimes only get vehicles for 30 mins to an hr so we can only go by what we are told by press fleet managers. How are you getting on with yours? It a great car and I loved it but I’m hearing there are better options now thanks to bigger battery options. It’s fine if you haven’t got to go far mind
@@PeakPerformanceReviews there are bigger battery cars, but I had a Corsa Electric for 3 years and 60,000 miles. 2 sets of drop links. 3 sets of rusted out discs, and off the road twice dead at chargers unable to select drive. I got a MINI while I could because I like a small fun car and do not want the new double range one, computer on wheels. Small battery but able to 11 AC charge because Charge Place Scotland and 50 kW rapids can be so unreliable.
I have a Mini Electric. You don't get 140 miles to a charge. You're lucky to get 100. If you drive in Green + mode, turn the radio off & drive like a Nun, you may go over 100. Sport mode is fun though. Scares the bejaysus out of 4 door saloon & SUV drivers.

@Roger Martinez I normally use mine to taz about in. She is getting her first proper motorway (more than 10 miles) this weekend. I will see what a steady 70mph in cruise control does for my range. But I rarely get more than 90 miles (indicated) from a full battery.
