Hello everyone, this is Ammy writing 😊 I just wanted to tell you guys that I appreciate everyone's comments. Evelyn and I do read every single one, even if we don't give them a heart or a like. I will always be grateful for the love and support, every comment, concern, opinion, etc. What I said in the video is exactly how I felt when watching this episode. For the people that don't know me, I've always been the type of person to say what's in my mind. I tend to not hold back and at the end of the day, some people might like it, a lot of people won't, and honestly that's okay. We can all agree to disagree. Now in regards to Hyunsuk, I still believe he's an AMAZING person; one with pure intentions, a great leader, an amazing artist with a beautiful soul. No one's perfect, and I didn't say those comments to disrespect him; this was never my intention. What I said in this video, doesn't change my honest opinion or love towards him. I just want to say, Hyunsuk had no ill intent with his words when Midam left. Treasure A were together the longest (2-4 years) and i think he just wished they could have performed together as a team for the last time. That's also why Treasure A were crying after they performed. You will see in the next few episodes of YGTB how selfless Hyunsuk is, I don't want to spoil anything but it doesn't get better for him in the next episodes yet he still supported everyone around him and helped them get better even when his future didn't look bright. Also, with the previous episode I don't think he meant they deserved it cause they've been there longest. I think he was simply explaining how they've been there longest yet they couldn't be on top and he was embarrassed and mad (at himself) that it turned out like that. I also want to note past yg trainees and treasure members have regarded Hyunsuk as someone who guided and supported them, i don't think that many people would say such good things about him if he was a selfish person.

The scariest thing abt yg trainer and 'yg' himself is tht they never yell or shout at you when you're wrong... they just give harsh comments tht kill you inside with a poker face
Hi Ams and Ev, Hyunsuk is behaving this way because he badly wanted Treasure A to debut together. They all trained together for years and YG made them believe that they (as in treasure A) are the next in line to debut. Moreover, Hyunsuk wanted Midam to stay since they were together for many years and he knew how good Mi Dam is and how he is giving all these up more so when he needed to show his full potential that Hyunsuk was already aware of. While watching the treasure box in 2018, even I was frustrated just like Hyunsuk because I thought treasure A will surely be the next group to debut. Also, YG fans called treasure A as "Silver boys" since at that time we all knew they will debut together. Later, he introduced this cruel survival show (that too with so many new trainees) which was not really fair for treasure A. Fun fact: Treasure A members are more like brothers and best friends; Hyunsuk and Byunggon are very close to a point where they put each other's pictures as their phone's wallpaper. LOL
I felt bad for the group and Midam when I first watched this...and apparently Midam joined another company after and joined another show. I think things happen for a reason and Midam was not meant to be with YG but I lost my compassion for Midam after I found out he ended up with another company and joined another battle show.
I don’t want you to misunderstand them.. In the last episode, when Junkyu wasn’t confident, remember how A team members have sent Doyoung to say ‘You worked hard today’ to Junkyu? You said they were making fun of him. But that’s wrong. You don’t know how long they were together as a team. They comfort and love each other so much. They really meant to cheer him up. It was kinda awkward but it definitely wasn’t intended to make fun of him. This episode, you’ve mistaken Hyunsuk’s words. He cared of Midam. He wanted Midam to stay in their team. Didn’t you all see how he was crying when Midam was leaving??? Please don’t misunderstand these precious boys. You know how nice they all are! He was NEVER selfish.And Hyunsuk’s attitude wasn’t like that. He wasn’t like ‘How dare they are on top of us?’ Don’t you remember the interview? Hyunsuk said he felt angry+embarrassed how they were under the list. He was angry at himself, not to the boys who were on top of them. I’m sorry if my comment made you unhappy but please I really love your reactions and simply want you to NOT misunderstand them.. please! It would mean a lot to me if you leave a comment about this comment!! Thanks girls + the day Midam left their dorm without a notice was ONE day before the assessment. Team A already had the part division and the choreography for seven members. But Midam left right before it so they had to quickly change the parts and some dances. So it definitely would’ve gave them a mental breakdown. Not only cause they are losing a teammate, but they also needed to revise a lot from their performance. +Evelyn said that she thinks it’s also the other teammates fault why Midam was like that, that they didn’t put in effort to hang out with him. But I think it isn’t the truth. What you saw, the way the edit portrayed it, it’s just a few moments of them together. How can we know when Midam joined team A, whether they tried hanging out with him or not? How would we know whether they talked about it and decided to respect the way Midam is(=not exactly a socialized guy) and gave him space he needed? We shouldn’t judge them just watching these few moments. +Midam made the choice to quit. He is still doing his music and was a part of another survival show and currently is a trainee in another label. I love team A so I look in his instagram account from time to time. I support them all. Midam was stressed out and couldn’t bear the burden that he needed to compete his friends.. I’m NOT saying it’s Midam’s fault. It’s totally understandable. But we shouldn’t think that Hyunsuk was selfish. Please don’t. I hope they read the comments and maybe could change or add these point of view.

That is what is called a different point of view. For us who have known these A team boys for a long time (fans even called them Silver Boys), we understand what's going on between them. And we even know their real personalities. But clearly here, Amy and Evelyn do not know the history and they state their opinion from their POV. Remember when they said, they're not familiar with that kind of idol trainees system in South Korea. No offense to anyone, I just try to understand both sides. Being the longest trainees is agonizingly hard, because they never know whether they will debut or not, or when and how they will debut. Moreover, seeing their long close friends leaving one by one is totally hurtful. The desperation is real. It's just that they have different ways to express it. Some will cry, some others will look angry or annoyed, while some others will say confident remarks to motivate themselves. I remember when I saw a reactor saying he didn't like what Seunghun said because it sounded so arrogant. But for me, it's understandable because I knew his situation and that's how he tried to cope with his feelings.
I also thought like that,,things are not that simple,Midam has a quiet and reserved personality .It does not mean that he didnt had a good relationship with Treasure A,they had been training together for a long time,we cannot jugde based only on this moment.
I totally agree with this. Hyunsuk really cared for him. He wasn't selfish at all. He wishee that all Team A will make it no matter what. Quitting is never an option. If you want to win, never quit.
i get your point about hyunsuk but actually as a hyunsuk stan who has been watching him ever since mixnine i know that he’s gone through so much thinking that he was about to debut but it got canceled and i think he understands what midam is feeling at that time but he kinda got disappointed at him cause they were a group for a long time, they faced so much hardships together and he was trying to keep their group together cause they think that it’s their last chance to debut. midam hasn’t shown his full potential in ygtb and i know that hyunsuk knows how much talent and skill midam has that’s why he was trying to tell him to not give up and show what he can do. if you guys will watch the next few episodes you guys will se how selfless hyunsuk is:) i dont think heartless and selfish is the right word but i understand your point thooo
In episode 2, Hyunsuk does not think he/they deserve the top spot. He was expressing his dissapointment in himself and the rest of Treasure A because they've been trainees for far longer and were given every support other trainees could only dream of and yet they weren't able to meet the expectation. His comments were not toward feeling superior among other trainees but embarassment toward themselves from not reaching a standard. In this episode, Hyunsuk wasn't being crass but was actually being nostalgic. He was trying to grasp a last moment for "silverboys", because that evaluation was the last time they will get to perform as a team. They knew that after that evaluation, they're bound to be separated and they've been an unofficial group in yg for more than 2 years. I get that with just that scene, anyone can easily misunderstood. Hyunsuk is far from selfish, the kid has no evil bone in his body.

This reaction video is a proof that we do really have different understanding about a particular issue or something. Hyunsuk doesn't want to be selfish, just for his own good, he just wants all TREASURE A to debut, that is why, he is encouraging Midam to hold and fight especially in their last assessment as a team. He is not selfish I'm telling you, I'm hurt OMG 💔 and for the ranking issue, of course if you have the longest trainee years, you're supposed to be good! That is why he is annoyed. Not to other members or other trainee, but for himself! He is annoyed for himself, for not being able to top. Its just that, Hyunsuk is the purest, if you just know ❤️💎
Well Mashiho is trained longer than any members of Team A, but The one that should be blame is the producer, they tend to make the show based on Team A perspective. If they dont do that, there will be no trainees to be blamed for
Knowing how you already misunderstood Hyunsuk’s actions from the 1st episode up to now i’m afraid that you will continue miss understanding his actions on the next episodes. I hope as you go on try to remind urself that the show is only 10% of what really happened, let’s not be too quick to judge everything base on it.
What Hyunsuk meant was totally different from what you understood.Treasure A had practiced together for years and it was their last performance.Every trainee is frustrated and mentally drained and think of Hyunsuk whose debut was cancelled,nobody gave up.I understand Midam and respect his choice but I still think he should have stayed for that one final performance.I would have reacted the same way if my close friend had done that.Also that last comment about Hyunsuk being selfish was seriously disappointing since he's one of the least selfish members along with Yedam :( the translations are sometimes different from the emotions with which they convey.
Yeahh I actually hated the editors back then because Hyunsuk was misunderstood a lot. A LOT. What he have been through in MIXNINE was already too much. And i think hyunsuk deserves better on YGTB
@Life Goes On... this is my biggest problem with non Asian and non Korean reactors because language and translations are completely wrong a lot of times and also understanding Asian culture and society. I understood Midam's POV (at the time) and also the other team members too. It was a bad situation for everyone on that Team including the managers who are responsible for this trainee. Now, I see that Midam ended up another label and joined another battle reality show the year after and that pisses me off. (but that's my opinion)
I don't think hyunsuk meant it that way. Team/Treasure A were trainees there for so long and they put them in that team making them believe they would be the next people to debut. Watching hyunsuk from his first survival show (MIXNINE) and on his 2nd survival show (YGTB) probably just made him feel more pressured. He wasn't yg's favorite, he would always get ignored and criticized. I wish you wouldn't think that way about him during that time because it's been really hard for him and for their team too. Most of the original team A members and the people who trained the same time as them...he saw them leaving and giving up way before this happened. It was the hardest to accept and endure. YGTB was the cruelest survival show i've ever watched as a hyunsuk stan. You'll understand that more on upcoming episodes. It was so harsh and heartbreaking. He may have said the things you didn't expect on this episode, but to be honest nothing was easy on their team during that time because all of them think it's their last chance. They put them in one team and then made them believe that they have the highest chance to debut but in the end, it goes back to zero when ygtb happened. No one really expect the survival show. And Hyunsuk really values their team so much that's why it was so hard for him/them to bid farewell knowing that it's their last chance to perform as a group (complete members) because they have to separate after this performance. I hope you understand that somehow...he wasn't trying to be selfish nor think that he will comeback after saying that. But he wish to see them perform as one before they separate with each other. You can see after the performance they all cried and at the same time happy they got the compliment as a team. That's how important this performance for Team A. Hyunsuk is always so selfless and even though yg pushed him away many times, he dont give up and even help all of the people around him. :) And Team A has a really really good relationship with each other. They are more than what this survival show are portraying them. Imagine, your debut was cancelled during your first survival show and then on the next survival show, it's obvious that yg himself pushed him away many times and ignored all his effort to be in the debut team. It was the hardest time for Hyunsuk but he would always help lift his members up when they're struggling. And on the last ep, he was mad and embarassed at himself for ranking too low despite being a team known as ACES and the closest to debut team. And they didn't make fun of Junkyu last episode too, they were just simply cheering him up because he was so down. The editing made it look awkward, but they were each other's strength all these years that's why they managed to stay as a team for so long. I hope you'll understand.

i just know that hyunsuk and treasure A has gone through so much even before this show that’s why hyunsuk puts lots of pressure in himself cause he has always been criticized and ignored by yg eversince mixnine and i know that he wants to debut so bad. i don’t think selfish or heartless is the right word to use but i get your pointtt but yeahhh ygtb has been really cruel for hyunsuk and you’ll see why in the future episodesss! i hope you guys don’t misunderstand their feelings and words

It was selfish of Midam to leave for a whole day without notice A DAY before the assessment. It’s like abandoning ur 9-5 job’s big day without telling ur manager. Treasure A couldn’t practice the choreo properly as a result. So Midam basically put the other members’ future AT RISK and just thought of himself and how he felt. Also, it was a good decision to change Treasure B’s leader bcoz they were LITERALLY running out of time considering they were the most inexperienced group. They couldn’t afford to waste any more of their time translating almost everything to Jyuhao. And it would have been selfish of Jyuhao if he had not agreed to let Jihoon take over. Jyuhao would have also put the other members’ future at risk! See? This is Korea. Koreans take other people into account, unlike western artists who are more of an individualist type. Besides, this was a YG show and not some mnet show where they baby the trainees 🙂
Well imagine this.. you and ur classmates were assigned a group project presentation that u have to present in front of the class. This presentation is important bcoz it would determine ur final grade and determine whether or not u’d graduate. U had been preparing for this presentation for a month. But a day before the presentation, one of ur groupmates decided to quit and just gone without telling u and the group members. How would u feel? 👁👄👁
I have nothing against Midam and his mental instability. This was a survival show after all..just like how life is a survival of the fittest. He unfortunately was just not fit enough to stay. The main concern here is the term “selfish” used in this video. In my opinion, what Midam did was an act of selfishness bcoz he had to put his SELF first and his emotion before the group A DAY before the Energetic performance, hence the term SELFish. But what hyusuk said to him was NOT an act of selfishness. The treasure makers and i in this comment section are just trying to shed light on being more careful with choice of words next time, especially if u say it on a reaction video since Treasure members watch yt and reaction!videos a lot and hyunsuk might come across this video. But again, everyone is entitled to their opinion and this is their yt channel after all. So we basically have to just agree to disagree.
How would Midam staying benefit hyusuk? Lol u’re not getting it. Midam leaving the show actually benefited hyunsuk more coz it meant fewer number of trainees to compete. There were 29 trainees there and YG announced initially that they would debut 5 members only. If hyunsuk was selfish, then he would have felt glad about Midam leaving. But he was not. It’s bcoz Hyunsuk was not thinking about himself only, he was thinking about the group. Therefore, he was not selfish and he isn’t! And u don’t have to agree with me. Merry christmas!!!
On the previous episode. Hyunsuk is pissed and embarrassed because he expected too much from team A since they're the longest running trainees and they did not get a compliment from YG. YG intentionally calling him on the spot to let him watch the youngest trainee basically dissed him. It's more of they're frustrated on themselves to be beaten by the younger trainees than literally being mad at the little ones for beating them. you know pride thingy. And in this episode losing a team member, and trying to let him stay not just because its the last moment they will be treasure A, but I see it as he believes in Midam that he still can make it. It's more of encouragement, as he said "I wish you would've hang in there" maybe he thought that if they'll get a better compliment it will boost Midam's will to stay and be better. It's just a roller coaster of emotion that led him to act like that. And not everything that they're saying is filmed, it's still more to them than what we see :)) anyway thanks for this guys :)
After reading the comments, I hope ams and ev don't misunderstand the treasure makers and think that we're ganging up on them or something cuz we're not. I hope ams & ev know that we appreciate them, we're grateful and adore them so much and we just don't want them to misunderstand the boys especially that they are new teumes and they are getting to know them little by little so they don't know their past fully yet.
Hyunsuk is just trying to keep them together for best of team just because of he is not heartless he knows Midam and he didn’t want to go that way Midam gone from competition not trying and didn’t show others to his skill cause he knows that Midam has skill and think that he blown his chance not also group also for Midam I think that way and you will know him and his desire throughout your treasure box episodes he is so emotional and crybaby
Yeah, Hyunsuk's intention was pure because we all know the struggle Treasure A went through the years they were trainees but the words came out were really not well thought off in my opinion (at least based on the translations that we read on the screen and maybe because of the emotions that were roaming the room that time). But I'm still glad he tried his best to say something on that emotional moment for them though, he's a great teammate and a leader, always has been.
Also, it seemed to me that his comment of "I wish you would have hanged till the last assessment" I didn't take it as Hyunsuk asking him to put up until the last assessment for the sake of the group, but rather it seemed like Hyunsuk was so disappointed because it was their last chance to all perform together as Treasure A and he was sad their last performance wouldn't be the 7 of them together since it was very special and their last opportunity. I never saw it as selfish or being unkind or insensitive towards Midam's feelings.

Haha, that's not what Choi Hyun-suk meant by Korean sentiment. It doesn't matter whether you become a debut member or not. It was the last mission with 7 members under the name of Treasure A team, so I think it's more regrettable that we couldn't show the performances of 7 members in the team. In the last episode, Do-young's greeting for Jun-gyu is also seen as an effort by the team members to make Jun-kyu laugh with Korean sentiment. I couldn't speak English, so I looked at the comments with a translator and saw that it was interpreted differently from what Koreans think, so I got help from the translator with the hope that there would be no misunderstanding. I hope you understand what I'm trying to convey. Your casual comments always make me feel good.
the part with jyun hao, I know it looks bad and they should've not changed the leaders but at that time survival mode is on, all their future is on the line and they have so little time to practice. also the fact that most of them are new trainees so they need more practice than the other team so I think that decision was good for all of them honestly.
Correct! They need to so it especially Jyun Hao had a little knowledge of Korean words so it'll be difficult for each member to understand his instructions.
Jihoon handled the situaton really well,he did not acted out of selfishness,he tried to help the team.Because,at the end,what matters is being chosen by YG,in which he barely was.I never misunderstood Hyunsuk and Jihoon actions,since because I first discover them through this show,I know their struggle and hardwork,turning them into great and supporting leaders for TREASURE
Agree in the syrvival show it was tume fir them to get technical abd stop being personal. Abd to think of the team first. . the time they waste on communicating should be wasted on practicing more and more as it was done and they found jihoon a great leader and the performence was carried by him he choreographed that dznce brrak and led the team.in a short period that was the best decision
I dont agree when you said hyunsuk kind of selfish of him when he tried to prevent midam leaving the group. He said that bcuz he and the team wanna go through this as 7 members. It seems like nothing to us but it is a special thing for them. Thats why when YG said they looked like real team, yedam cried. Then, are you more prefer that they just said nothing to midam and just let him leave. Midam not the only one who had a hard times. Most of them had their problems too but they keep going for their dream. Actually the one who pissed me off is midam. He said in this YGTB he hate going through this thing again n again right? But at the end he still join the other survival show ( produce 101). Then what happen with his remarked, at the end he just ran away from it.
Tho I agree with most of your comments but I hope you won’t blame midam also. He was in a mental state wherein it was not bearable already in a way that it will do more harm to him considering that he was not even certain if this is really what he wants in his life (age is a factor also). I think the produce 101 was his last push to see if this dream of his is really worth fighting for or not. And sadly, it wasn’t :(

So many people already clarified about hyunsuk thank god. I'm a hyunsuk stan and yeah kinda disappointing when you say him selfish when he's the most selfless one ☹️issokay I forgive u guys but it takes time also 🙏😂 but I'm now talking and clarifying about treasure B that change the leader. For me, it's a good decision and seokhwa doesn't actually mean to be rude to gunho. How could they make a good performance when it's so hardddd to even communicate with the leader? A leader is so important to make a good performance and being a leader you must consider the others too not only yourself. Gunho choosing hard songs for them when treasure B is obviously the most less trained one out of all the team. And you can see how clueless they are while training and the trainer also said they don't even deserve an F for the performance. So changing the leader is the last thing they could do to improve and jihoon actually **this one is a spoiler** the most experienced despite being in treasure B. Later you will know why. And you can see how the performance is actually not that bad. So, they're doing it for their own goods. Last but not least sukhoon best leaders 🙌
I was really actually disappointed when she said that to hyunsuk. she already saw tmap so she should know how sefless hyunsuk since mixnine. HYUNSUK BEST BOY!! they misunderstood my baby :(((((

Let me also clarify Hyunsuk's comment in the previous episode.He meant that though they were Treasure A they couldn't make it into the top.He himself said that he was disappointed in himself,it was never meant in an arrogant way.I'm not being a blind fan or anything,but as a Hyunsuk stan I thought you'd know about his personality.He is one of the purest idols I've seen(coming from a multistan) and he's so supportive of others.
And I also think the translation mattered. Because the way he said it in korean, as what i understood in his worda, he didn't mean it that way. And the evil editings

The thing with Hyunsuk is that he tries his hardest to be strong when there are difficult circumstances like this one. It may appear like he is cold hearted or that he has a "bad attitude" it really is because of the many things he had gone with Midam. Midam is literally a brother to Hyunsuk they trained together through a hard time. Many people might not know about silver boys which originally consisted of trainees Midam, Woong, Noah, Raesung,Byounggon, Seunghun, Hyunsuk,Jihoon, Junkyu, Yedam and Doyoung, these boys literally went through a lot together. Hyunsuk reacted that what because he did not want to portray his weakness and sadness of not seeing Midam accomplishing his dream with him. I know it may appear like he is showing attitude but it is how YG trains his idols ever since they are trainees to have this tough look no matter the situation, because in the outside world you will deal with a lot worse. YG focuses on making their idols built up character like this, honestly it is portrayed harsh because in a situation like that we expect to see someone weak. Eve YG himself he always appears to look bad and tough with the trainees saying such comments to them because he knows those comments will impact and help the, for the better. Furthermore in the show you will see how slowly Hyunsuk can't handle being strong and shows himself as how he is. Hopefully this is helpful for you to understand because we understand what you mean but that is not how it is. Anyhow, love watching your reactions every week and thank you for reacting!

And that’s why Mi dam said that this is too much for him to endure after all these years of training now a survival show.
I dont want to judge anyone by watching some 2/3 minutes moments in a survival show. They were together as a team for 3/4 years. So they know each other and the situation better. Hyunsuk was 5th in Mix Nine but the debut was cancelled. Midam was there for 3 years, so he wished Midam could hang in there for another month like he did and debut with them together. Hyunsuk is not my bias or anything but I dont think he was selfish.
About Hyunsuk he didn’t mean it that way. He knows it wasn’t Midam fault. They had been a team for 2-4 years and it’s hard watching your friend leave. That was the last time all of Treasure A performed together. With the previous episode. It’s so much pressure of Treasure A from YG. YG expects Treasure A to be the best...to be...#1, since they were the longest running trainees. It was a lot of pressure on him. YG comments about how he should be embarrassed didn’t help. If anything it’s more YG fault that Hyunsuk feels that way. He spent 3-4 years as a trainee to get embarrassed by someone who is 7 years younger than him. Like, I said before YG comments about how if he was Hyunsuk he would be embarrassed didn’t help.
I also feel like the editing in the show didn't help much, they purposely edited in order to make it seem like trainees were constantly battling and competing against each other, when we know that was not the case. Especially Hyunsuk who does nothing but support, encourage, and even protect the other trainees especially the younger ones.
@Black Treasure I agree, I think that despite some efforts to make it seem more of a competition and dramatic between the trainees, you can see that it was far from the truth and they all truly just supported and cared for one another.
I don't think Hyunsuk is being selfish, he just hopes that Treasure A who has been together for years can debut together. and remembering that hyunsuk has been on 2 survival shows, where he previously participated in the 'mixnine' and had managed to be in the debut line-up and finally the debut failed🤧

Hyunsuk wasnt being selfish. the words he said in the past eps “we dont deserves below there” wasnt for the other teams. it more to their hardwork. they trained the longest yet they still ranked below of the new trainees. and it makes Hyunsuk mad. byunggon also said “i dont like this” when they saw their ranking. it was for themselves. that’s when it hits them that they still lacking despites being trained over 4 years+ therefore,hyunsuk said “im embarrassed” when he lost to junhyuk. also,he didnt mad at Junhyuk. but more to YG bcs YG setting them both to battle like that. if it was me,i would get mad too😂 in upcoming eps,Hyunsuk & Junhyuk become brothers. the sweetest thing you’ll ever watch during ygtb. 2. Team B changing the leader. team B had struggle with language barrier. i also felt bad for guno,but we had to think about the time they had wasted just to communicate with each other. their practice with the dance teacher showed that their teamwork wasnt good. the dance looks messy. unlike Team J,they had to changed their song. but they made it bcs they’re all Japanese it bcs they can communicate well. after they changed to Jihoon,they give guno the dance part too. Guno shine the most in Go Go performance. so it’s a win-win. 3. In YG,there’s a rule. it was shown in eps1. once they break the rule,they have to leave. Hyunsuk wasnt being selfish for trying to hold midam into the group. he just doesnt want his teamA members go through hard times. Midam is not very social person,he have the same personality with Junkyu. but Midam are mentally exhausted that he decide to “run away” that night. that put teamA into trouble as well,it would affect the whole group. since,it was near their monthly evaluation. Hyunsuk was being honest and he wish Midam could stay a little more bcs that was their last TeamA performance. there’s one video on vlive channel that TeamA cheered for Midam and asking fans to support midam. TeamA are still close until now. they’re family but in different agency. 4. i hope you watch others YGTB segments like -YGTB diary cam(every trainees updating how their practice goes) -YGTB reaction cam(all ygtb trainees sit down and watch ygtb together) -YGTB survey cam(ygtb trainees votes each other) -YGTB game cam(ygtb trainees play some games) -YGTB christmas party(ygtb gather and prepared for christmas party) -YGTB social gathering(ygtb trainees played game called manito and prepared gifts for each other) -YGTB chuseok special(ygtb trainees gather to celebrate chuseok with some games) all these segments from YGTB is gold. it shows how closed they are despite they had to against each other. i would burst into tears whenever i watch all YGTB contents bcs it’s too precious. their friendship are th sweetest!! i hope you both are okay. dont get hurt by all these comments. we’re just trying to correct the whole things for you guys. and i know you loveee hyunsuk now😜😜 cant wait for the next reactions!!! 💗💗
Yes YGTB as in the competition itself is intense and they are all in a competitive mode, while the other YGTB segments are fun and it shows how really close they are. Also I love Ammy and Evs that they speak their mind I love that from them.
I'm not hating on what you said about Hyunsuk. But I suggest you do some research about him. Treasure A or Silver boys are the longest trainees (6 years-2years) they grow up together as a team, and the way you all said that Treasure A doesn't value Midam that much is so very wrong, you may think that Hyunsuk is so selfish to say that kind word, but the truth is he just only wants them to debut together. Treasure A expect their going to debut soon, but YGTB happened. They wish to debut together as a TREASURE A, but Midam wasn't able to take it anymore (which I understand why he did that), so just imagine how frustrated Hyunsuk and the others members, because their wish to debut together as team will never happen. We don't any rights to say a word "selfish" when we're not on their position, because in the end of the day only god knows how they suffered just to be the TREASURE they are right now.
okay idk if it's just me but I don't think you guys understood what hyunsuk meant because when he said "This is A team's last assessment with the seven of us together. In a way this is really our last", this is because after their last assessment they're not gonna be able to perform as a team anymore because survival will start and they will all be separated and they are sad because their dream of debuting together as a team is now impossible and now that midam decided to go it's confirmed that it is really their last :( oh I wish we get more silver boys interaction in the future bc they r all so precious.
I understand how you feel about Hyunsuk's when Midam is leaving. But I think what Hyunsuk is trying to convey to Midam when he said "you could have hang in there" . is the same as saying that "dont give up" like Midam is now doubting if he will be able to debut or not but if he could hang in there and give his best for the last performance, who knows, he might be able to make it. Because actually Hyunsuk feels the same way too. He is also doubting if he will be able to debut or not. And it feels like pointless for him to do this after what happened to MixNine (survival show) where he is about to debut but it was canceled and then he is now in another survival show, YGTB, so it feels to him like he will start all over again. If there is any person who can understand Midam at that time, its definitely Hyunsuk. and he just want Midam to give his best even for the last time, because who knows after that performance Midam will make it. The point there is "its not over until its over". But i guess, because Hyunsuk is so straightforward, so it sounds like he dont have compassion towards Midam. But i know , he means it that Midam should not give up and stay positive and put his trust on them as teammates and not keep it all to himself. I kinda agree with these people defending Hyungsuk here. I don’t have a bias in treasure because I love them all and I’ve known some of them from their pre-debut days especially silver boys. Silver boys are the popular trainees before in yg which the fans thought they’re gonna debut all but unfortunately some of them left and only 6 members stay, 5 became members of treasure and 1 became a producer in yg now(Raesung).on my opinion on how I discern to what happened in ep1 and 2, I think Hyungsuk is just desperate. I actually understand his action that time. And in fact I think he’s not selfish because being selfish is totally disregarding other people’s existence for his own good but Hyungsuk is still thoughtful to other members. He has this competitive side which is natural because they are in a competition and they are always in a competition ever since they’ve entered yg. And we can’t disregard to what happened in mixnine. He’s been trough a lot that’s why he is so competitive. He is so anxious to what’s happening that time which he only wanted was to debut together with his longtime friends.
I kinda have to say this hehehe. Watching and rooting for them for how many years made me understand their personalities more. And I think you kinda misunderstood what Hyunsuk was trying to imply. They have been training for so long and are good friends. He knows how much Midam wanted to debut. It's their dream. Team A's (silverboys) dream was to debut together. I personally think what Suk was trying to imply is that. The chance of them debuting together was in front of them, they just have to work so hard to get into the debut line. He knows how much Midam struggled in training for years just to debut but because of that one incident it was all gone. Welp that's how Big Entertainments in Korea works. Team A dreamed of debuting together, they know each members' struggles, but Ygtb was really cruel for them. The show made their friendship stronger but also made gaps. Midam's Father said he (Midam) decided to leave because he can't compete with his friends, since they needed to go against each other whom they thought they're going to debut with. This is how mediaplay and editing works so I think that really triggered you ㅠㅠ. And the "Longest Trainee" part, what they said was, they were mad, upset and embarrassed. Looking at the situation they said that because of the fact that they where nowhere to be seen on the top. They have been training the longest in the company, Yg spends a Lot I mean "a Lot" of money for them for how many years. And at that time Team A should be more polished than the other teams, but the first rankings says the opposite. They were mad and upset at their "selves" because as the longest trainee they should and could've done better. And I think you also misunderstood that part hehe😅 P.s Midam went to AAP.Y Ent then joined Produce X 101 but sadly he didn't made it in the debut lineup. He has a song titled Hello Christmas with Jung Myong Hoon (you guys should listen to this). But then this November, Midam's Father said or announced that Midam already gave up on his dream being an idol :'(. I agree. I was first a Mate before I become a Teume. I was hoping and was expecting Silverboys to debut together. And I know how sad for the boys where when Midam left because they lost another member😔 and I know there were no bad intentions with what Hyunsuk said. I'm happy for them now, Noa, Woong, Raesung and Midam and I hope they'll get the happiness they deserve.

If Hyunsuk was selfish he would have let Midam go without feeling upset or disappointed, thinking there was less trainee to compete with the debuting lineup. After all, it was a survival show and an individual competition they have to battle against each other. He said that and feels that way not because He wants to win for himself, No but because He wants it for Midam. He just wants Midam to grab that last chance to hopefully debut, for Midam himself, and also He wants it for their team not for him. He's not just thinking about himself It's for his team and Midam's sake, It's painful for him to let Him leave because it's their dream to debut they already did practice the performance together but sadly Midam decided to quit. I hope you won't misunderstand Hyunsuk, in my perspective that's not what he meant. That performance was their last as Team A, and they've been together for years. Hyunsuk just wanted him to stay for a little longer, to hang in there for the last time, since it was really their last chance as a group. He's not selfish, he really love the trainees I swear, you will see that in the next episodes. As for changing the leader, they only have one month to prepare for their live performance. They have to choreograph the song, change some parts, and write their own lyrics (raps). Yes it may seem a bitch move, but they had to do it for their own sake. Time is of the essence, and changing the leader is the best decision especially if they can't communicate properly, which is very cruical when it comes to group performance. Soon you'll witness how hyunsuk been having a hard time, Treasure A's pressure, desperation and doubts to themselves being a Treasure A, as the leading team to debut and the oldest trainees, and Jihoon's story as YG trainee and why he unintentionally made an initiative to lead the group. Btw, Jyunhao, the original leader replaced by Jihoon, he is from Taiwan. That's why he's also having a hard time speaking korean. I honestly think you misunderstood the whole hyunsuk situation :( Hyunsuk is easily the least selfish person in treasure and that showed especially in yg treasure box with how he treated the trainees especially the younger ones. He just always had this leader personality and he knew the potential of each member in treasure A. They were a family and they were really close to one another. Him being frustrated with the past episodes also comes from the pain of almost debuting in mixnine despite being one of the show’s maknaes yet having to get that debut cancel and join another survival show with no assurance of even debuting (which also got pushed back 2 years). Hyunsuk did a lot to be noticed and get in yg so this really meant a lot to him. Anyway, i know you just misunderstood it especially with how it was edited and showed in the show but trust me you’ll love hyunsuk even more because of ygtb, here you’ll see what a true all-rounder our leader hyunsuk is 🤍

I'm quite surprised the word 'selfish' was used on Hyunsuk >< from Mixnine till now, he always put others before himself and we can clearly see it especially in Mixnine. His debut journey was not as easy as we only see in Treasure box if anyone want to know more about him, I'll suggest you to watch Mixnine before Treasure Box instead.His reaction towards Midam was only because he really hope all members from Team A will debut together but Midam was giving up this hope when their dreams are so near and Hyunsuk was disappointed that now they can't fufill this dream together. Hyunsuk wants to portray a strong image but in reality he is such a vulnerable guy and I understands him- you will see in the upcoming episodes what I meant. As a Korean treasure maker, I didn't think that Hyunsuk's attitude was selfish from the scene. Koreans tend to be more proud of being recognized by their team members. I thought that Hyunsuk wanted to say it to Midam. That's why the editor of YGTB showed Hyunsuk's comment without editting. It is just misunderstanding from the culture difference. Don't hate Hyunsuk plz.
Ok, I totally understand both of your opinion and point. Just remember that All trainees are struggling in their own way they all gone through so much especially treasure A cause they all have been in YG the longest plus they already faced 2 survival shows, Him and Midam are part of the original silver boys. He has that bond with them I think Hyunsuk is just sad, and disappointed about him leaving and not taking that last chance to debut cause HE knows Midam got those skills, and he wants all treasure A to debut. I think he just wants them (Treasure A) to all debut and sadly it will be their last team performance for them as team A, He cares about his teammates thus you can see Hyun-suk crying when Midam was leaving. I also understand and respect Midam's decision, the boys faced 2 survival shows already they have been through so much since mixnine and after that, they all felt and believed they have the upper hand and have the chance to debut as a team but YG announced YGTB so it kinda put pressure on Midam and drained him. It’s just kinda disappointing how you judged Hyunsuk by watching a few-minute clips here. I hope let’s be careful with the choice of words we say. Judging him as “selfish” is a very strong statement without knowing their background especially their team being together for years. You have to understand where he’s coming from. It’s not how you interpreted it to be.
Also, just a TMI, you may know already that Hyunsuk was in a survival show called Mixnine prior this, and really struggled a lot mentally/emotionally there to finally make the cut but his supposedly debut that time was cancelled so you can also not blame him for having this mindset of despair and determination. This fact made me respect him more.
i think you misunderstood hyunsuk. Technically it is going to be their last performance as Team A coz after that episode they are no longer a team. they will compete individually that why its very important to Team A. To think that this is the only episode I saw Junkyu cried says a lot. The seven of them trained together for years.

Midam's "I NEED TO LEAVE THIS PLACE" still haunts me to this day. It's really hard to be an introvert. But maybe knowing about the Silver Boys when I watched YGTB made me understand where Hyunsuk is coming from. It was heartbreaking, esp the part where they part ways as Treasure A. I understand where you're coming from and I thank you for your honesty. Even if he's your bias, you're just keeping it real. But my heart bled when you said he was "selfish" (I still respect your opinion). Maybe it was just hard for me to hear that when I saw how he struggled in MIXNINE. I am just surprised by Amy's reaction to Hyunsuk. I would recommend Amy to watch the reaction cam and diary cam of Hyunsuk (on YG treasure box channel) or watch the fanmade "Everything wrong with YG Treasure box, Choi Hyunsuk's Journey" (highly recommend) in your free time. You will see a part of him you won't really see in these episodes. C'mon Amy. If you really love him, please see. Midam is actually still friend with the og team A and they've been friends for so long, including Hyunsuk, like I think even after the program ended people saw them together so it's pretty weird why he said he didn't socialize with them, so maybe that's why they couldn't understand him, tbh what was too much for Midam was the fact that there were cameras, everything was being recorded, having to win a survival, all that pressure, the yg treasure box was too much for him

Thank you for reacting today! What you felt watching this episode was the roller coaster of emotions we went through. This YGTB is the show that definitely defined the 12 members. Not to spoil anything but this is why Teumes are really loyal to these boys and protective because YGTB made them who they are right now. TMAP was more of the final touch, sticking them with glue and bond them as 1 group. I know how frustrating it may have been to see Hyunsuk around this time and even for the rest of the 12 members of which you'll eventually see too in the coming 7 episodes, BUT this is the real deal. This is how survival shows should be. No sugar coating or dramas just to gain popularity. This is how real it gets with YG.

All the trainees were stressed out because this is a survival show. Midam being a trainee at yg for 2 years. He loves his friends so much. Team A are more like friends and brothers. We knew the real reason of him leaving yg last year from Midam’s dad letter. The letter said “Young midam who really liked music and singing decided to pursue the bleak path of being an idol and went to seoul for auditions here and there and eventually dream agency yg contacted him but when he entered yg he realised it is not how he dreamt of it to be. midam who is naturally gentle/innocent and kind found it tough as he had to compete with his team mates and that created gaps(like distance) in their friendship” I hope you don’t get Hyunsuk wrong, he doesn’t want midam to stay for team but he wants midam to stay as his friends. He’s not a selfish man but he’s a selfless man. His debut has been canceled once before yg treasure box but he never give up. He was just want his friend to be more patience. Midam is now an actor and I believe it’s his dream.

No offense and I really respect your comment about hyun suk but probably in my opinion he just wanted all treasure A to debut and he's desperate in a good way and maybe it was a little selfish of him to say thay but he just want him to debut as well bcos they've trained longer than anyone there. And I think in the part of Midam leaving he just left without even saying anything to them during their practive which put them in a risk since its their last assessment during that time. And I think that hyunsuk also felt that he shoud have atleast told them beforehand that he was leaving and I guess that shook him and thats an impromptu scene he just literally said goodbye. I mean theyre friends way longer. I think in the part of hyun suk he's just upset. In the end I know they're friends thats he just wanted him not to gave up his dreams easily. True, even when treasure7 first broadcast when junkyu already in debut line but not with hyunsuk, at that time junkyu said that hyunsuk think that he fail so he said to junkyu like this "even me not around you, be strong and ......"

In the previous episode he is getting annoyed of them not topping in the rank more of because he is frustated of himself and their team for not doing well despite being there for the longest and not because he see himself above the other trainees. Maybe you should give that scene a rewatch to understand him. Same as on this episode he is frustrated to Midam for not hanging in there. He wants them to debut together but he just gave up. They've been together since silver boys and he really cares a lot for the members. You're completely seeing him in the wrong light here. Thanks.

I have been a fan of hyunsuk ever since MIXNINE. hyunsuk, junkyu and byounggon are my favorite yg trainees since they appeared in mixnine. Hyunsuk in Mixnine and in YGTB is I must say he has pretty harsh personality beacause in the first place he needs to compete for him to debut, considering there is a lot of trainees that has also a potential. His one and only dream is to debut under YG so he need to protect his position at all cost to debut, also you can tell from his intension that he really wants treasure A to debut as a team because they spent years together as a trainee. Your reaction is normal because that was hyunsuk's feelings being hurt he expresses his emotional feels because he cares for his team you may say he is selfish but nah he is the sweetest and I know you guys know it. DONT MISUNDERSTAND HYUNSUK, The last time you felt he was being entitled. That was never the case coz he was simply ashamed to be called out despite the years of practice and being in Team A. It was a Battle with his self More. HYUNSUK IS FOR THE TEAM. HE ACTUALLY WANTED MIDAM TO HOLD ON LIKE THEY ALL DO. AND DON'T SAY THAT THEY DID NOT TRY TO REACH OUT. Why is it there Fault Now when Mi dam Left? He is the eldest and has the Most pressure and Can't understand why Him and probably Team A still has to Compete when they have Trained so Long. The public actually expected them to Debut as a GROUP (aka Silverboys). He also left to get a shot at PRODUCE. I have to admit, My heart cried for Treasure A Boys coz they really wanted to All Debut AS A TEAM but it never Came Easy. The Selection also navigated Towards a Younger and Fresher Trainee which you cant discount also coz there were plenty of talented Trainees with great presence in the Other Group too. I'm Just Happy that there were So Many YGTB alum who debuted❤
TEAM A is the longest that’s why yg is more strict to them than the other team and he expect more every evaluation that’s why i am kinda hurt that you misunderstood hyunsuk and the rest of team A :( maybe because i follow them for the longest time now that’s why i know some of the things behind the scene

uh okay i think it's really off for u to say that the reason why midam was like that was bc of them. midam being an introvert doesn't have anything to do with them. it's not their fault that he doesn't like socializing. it was midam's choice to leave A DAY before their assessment. they all had to adjust because of him. and still, that wasn't even important to them even if they had to re-do things. what they just wanted is to perform as treasure A with 7 members for the last time. and besides, they're still friends now. i don't think midam would stay in contact with them if they truly neglected him. i think it's really unfair for u to say that considering that it wasn't only midam who was struggling. it's just that midam gave up (and that's alright, he wasn't okay so i don't really blame him),

About the changing leader, its understandable. its just like u have to choose 2 destination. if they keep on with communication problem, they can’t deliver their performance. they trust Jihoon because Jihoon is the longest trainee between them. remember that Jihoon leave YG? he used to train with Team A. when he cb again he join Team B. at least Jihoon can guide them since he have experience monthly evaluation more than other members. Jihoon & Hyunsuk best leaders. this show really polished their leadership.
At least, Hyunsuk learned his lesson now. I actually didn't like the time Hyunsuk was kind of prideful in the first episode but I can understand. I've watched the Mixnine and and I understand where he's coming from. As we all know, he was supposed to debut before and seeing the results made him mad. I'm not saying that what he did was right but the point is he learned his lesson now. He became a Better person. I think that was also YG's way to humble him.

I've been waiting for this reaction but I kinda lil' bit disappointed with your comments towards Hyunsuk. As a ygtb stan I just wanted to clarify with what Hyunsuk's said. Hyunsuk was just never expect that their monthly assessment (in episode 1) was their last performance as a group, as a TREASURE A and how he just hoping that they could still perform as a group (as a SILVER BOYS who trained for a long years). Hyunsuk is the selfless person I've ever known. And just if ever you have watch their live during ygtb, you could tell that he's one of the most person who have the purest heart. He didn't meant his words in a negative way. I hope you now understand what Hyunsuk meant. And I hope your love for hyunsuk will never change just because of your misunderstanding with his what you called 'attitude' that you have seen in this episode. HYUNSUK being so selfish. I could understand Why. He wants the best to everyone. Being hard to others may not be a bad thing. If you want to succeed , work hard. That id why he has that kind of attitude. He wants to give everyone that hardwork pays off Because knowing him, he was in MIXNINE Competition and he was supposed to debut. And I understand why he wants to be on top , because he just work hard and was about to debut when it was being cancelled So yeah, the competition was so fierce and frustration, but that build him enough strength to be one of the leaders. Huynsuk is the softest one. He didnt have any ill intention. He wanted Midam to stay and fight till the end. Why we called YG family is because even Trainees or artists left the company, they are in good terms and still supportive to each other. Even most YG Stan still support to trainees and artists whoever left the company.

I'll just say that Hyunsuk knows exactly the feeling that things don't turn out the way one wishes they were on another MIXNINE survival show and it wasn't a pleasant experience at all. They humiliated him a bit with words like "you really are from YG or you are from YG and that's what the only thing you can show" were things he heard so nothing was easy for him even though he remained in the final lineup they canceled the debut and in YGTREASURE BOX It didn't turn out very well, he was about to not debut, Hyunsuk knew Midam's abilities and he just wanted him to stay on the team to show his talent because he deserved to debut too
As someone who has been watching Hyunsuk since mixnine his actually very selfless. I think you guys misunderstood his words, they trained the longest and Hyunsuk is very competitive and at the same time very selfless so he wanted all TEAM A to debut but one is already giving up, he was probably sad that every Team A might just give up after all those years of training. Hyunsuk even told Junkyu that if he doesn't make it, he wishes Junkyu to make it for him. When he also said that it's disappointing that they aren't on top, its because they trained the longest but still couldn't manage to do well , he didn't mean that they're " Team A they should be on top" in a way that we shouldn't work hard. He was trying to say that since they're Team A they should do much better than the rest but the results was a disappointment for them that actually made him realize that he has to do better. Also his very competitive because he has been in 2 survival shows (mixnine debut boys got cancelled) and YGTB is his last chance. If he can't make it, his too old to wait for the next BG. And his very competitive through out the survival show but still showed care to his co-trainees. Warning: This survival show is pretty cruel and annoying. You'll probably cry because of it

I just wanted to tell you guys that I appreciate everyone's comments. Evelyn and I do read every single one, even if we don't give them a heart or a like. I will always be grateful for the love and support, every comment, concern, opinion, etc. What I said in the video is exactly how I felt when watching this episode. For the people that don't know me, I've always been the type of person to say what's in my mind. I tend to not hold back and at the end of the day, some people might like it, a lot of people won't, and honestly that's okay. We can all agree to disagree.
Now in regards to Hyunsuk, I still believe he's an AMAZING person; one with pure intentions, a great leader, an amazing artist with a beautiful soul. No one's perfect, and I didn't say those comments to disrespect him; this was never my intention. What I said in this video, doesn't change my honest opinion or love towards him. He will continue to be my ultimate bias in Treasure.

I just want to say, Hyunsuk had no ill intent with his words when Midam left. Treasure A were together the longest (2-4 years) and i think he just wished they could have performed together as a team for the last time. That's also why Treasure A were crying after they performed. You will see in the next few episodes of YGTB how selfless Hyunsuk is, I don't want to spoil anything but it doesn't get better for him in the next episodes yet he still supported everyone around him and helped them get better even when his future didn't look bright.
Also, with the previous episode I don't think he meant they deserved it cause they've been there longest. I think he was simply explaining how they've been there longest yet they couldn't be on top and he was embarrassed and mad (at himself) that it turned out like that.
I also want to note past yg trainees and treasure members have regarded Hyunsuk as someone who guided and supported them, i don't think that many people would say such good things about him if he was a selfish person.

Hyunsuk is behaving this way because he badly wanted Treasure A to debut together. They all trained together for years and YG made them believe that they (as in treasure A) are the next in line to debut. Moreover, Hyunsuk wanted Midam to stay since they were together for many years and he knew how good Mi Dam is and how he is giving all these up more so when he needed to show his full potential that Hyunsuk was already aware of.
While watching the treasure box in 2018, even I was frustrated just like Hyunsuk because I thought treasure A will surely be the next group to debut. Also, YG fans called treasure A as "Silver boys" since at that time we all knew they will debut together. Later, he introduced this cruel survival show (that too with so many new trainees) which was not really fair for treasure A.
Fun fact: Treasure A members are more like brothers and best friends; Hyunsuk and Byunggon are very close to a point where they put each other's pictures as their phone's wallpaper. LOL
I felt bad for the group and Midam when I first watched this...and apparently Midam joined another company after and joined another show. I think things happen for a reason and Midam was not meant to be with YG but I lost my compassion for Midam after I found out he ended up with another company and joined another battle show.

+ the day Midam left their dorm without a notice was ONE day before the assessment. Team A already had the part division and the choreography for seven members. But Midam left right before it so they had to quickly change the parts and some dances. So it definitely would’ve gave them a mental breakdown. Not only cause they are losing a teammate, but they also needed to revise a lot from their performance.
+Evelyn said that she thinks it’s also the other teammates fault why Midam was like that, that they didn’t put in effort to hang out with him. But I think it isn’t the truth. What you saw, the way the edit portrayed it, it’s just a few moments of them together. How can we know when Midam joined team A, whether they tried hanging out with him or not? How would we know whether they talked about it and decided to respect the way Midam is(=not exactly a socialized guy) and gave him space he needed? We shouldn’t judge them just watching these few moments.
+Midam made the choice to quit. He is still doing his music and was a part of another survival show and currently is a trainee in another label. I love team A so I look in his instagram account from time to time. I support them all. Midam was stressed out and couldn’t bear the burden that he needed to compete his friends.. I’m NOT saying it’s Midam’s fault. It’s totally understandable. But we shouldn’t think that Hyunsuk was selfish. Please don’t. I hope they read the comments and maybe could change or add these point of view.

That is what is called a different point of view. For us who have known these A team boys for a long time (fans even called them Silver Boys), we understand what's going on between them. And we even know their real personalities. But clearly here, Amy and Evelyn do not know the history and they state their opinion from their POV. Remember when they said, they're not familiar with that kind of idol trainees system in South Korea. No offense to anyone, I just try to understand both sides.
Being the longest trainees is agonizingly hard, because they never know whether they will debut or not, or when and how they will debut. Moreover, seeing their long close friends leaving one by one is totally hurtful. The desperation is real. It's just that they have different ways to express it. Some will cry, some others will look angry or annoyed, while some others will say confident remarks to motivate themselves. I remember when I saw a reactor saying he didn't like what Seunghun said because it sounded so arrogant. But for me, it's understandable because I knew his situation and that's how he tried to cope with his feelings.
I also thought like that,,things are not that simple,Midam has a quiet and reserved personality .It does not mean that he didnt had a good relationship with Treasure A,they had been training together for a long time,we cannot jugde based only on this moment.
I totally agree with this. Hyunsuk really cared for him. He wasn't selfish at all. He wishee that all Team A will make it no matter what. Quitting is never an option. If you want to win, never quit.

In episode 2, Hyunsuk does not think he/they deserve the top spot. He was expressing his dissapointment in himself and the rest of Treasure A because they've been trainees for far longer and were given every support other trainees could only dream of and yet they weren't able to meet the expectation. His comments were not toward feeling superior among other trainees but embarassment toward themselves from not reaching a standard.
In this episode, Hyunsuk wasn't being crass but was actually being nostalgic. He was trying to grasp a last moment for "silverboys", because that evaluation was the last time they will get to perform as a team. They knew that after that evaluation, they're bound to be separated and they've been an unofficial group in yg for more than 2 years. I get that with just that scene, anyone can easily misunderstood. Hyunsuk is far from selfish, the kid has no evil bone in his body.

This reaction video is a proof that we do really have different understanding about a particular issue or something. Hyunsuk doesn't want to be selfish, just for his own good, he just wants all TREASURE A to debut, that is why, he is encouraging Midam to hold and fight especially in their last assessment as a team. What Hyunsuk meant was totally different from what you understood.Treasure A had practiced together for years and it was their last performance.Every trainee is frustrated and mentally drained and think of Hyunsuk whose debut was cancelled,nobody gave up.I understand Midam and respect his choice but I still think he should have stayed for that one final performance.I would have reacted the same way if my close friend had done that.Also that last comment about Hyunsuk being selfish was seriously disappointing since he's one of the least selfish members along with Yedam :( the translations are sometimes different from the emotions with which they convey.

@Life Goes On... this is my biggest problem with non Asian and non Korean reactors because language and translations are completely wrong a lot of times and also understanding Asian culture and society. I understood Midam's POV (at the time) and also the other team members too. It was a bad situation for everyone on that Team including the managers who are responsible for this trainee. Now, I see that Midam ended up another label and joined another battle reality show the year after and that pisses me off. (but that's my opinion)

I don't think hyunsuk meant it that way. Team/Treasure A were trainees there for so long and they put them in that team making them believe they would be the next people to debut.
Watching hyunsuk from his first survival show (MIXNINE) and on his 2nd survival show (YGTB) probably just made him feel more pressured. Most of the original team A members and the people who trained the same time as them...he saw them leaving and giving up way before this happened. It was the hardest to accept and endure. YGTB was the cruelest survival show i've ever watched as a hyunsuk stan. You'll understand that more on upcoming episodes. It was so harsh and heartbreaking.
He may have said the things you didn't expect on this episode, but to be honest nothing was easy on their team during that time because all of them think it's their last chance.
They put them in one team and then made them believe that they have the highest chance to debut but in the end, it goes back to zero when ygtb happened. No one really expect the survival show.
And Hyunsuk really values their team so much that's why it was so hard for him/them to bid farewell knowing that it's their last chance to perform as a group (complete members) because they have to separate after this performance. I hope you understand that somehow...he wasn't trying to be selfish nor think that he will comeback after saying that. But he wish to see them perform as one before they separate with each other. You can see after the performance they all cried and at the same time happy they got the compliment as a team. That's how important this performance for Team A.
Hyunsuk is always so selfless and even though yg pushed him away many times, he dont give up and even help all of the people around him. :)
And Team A has a really really good relationship with each other. They are more than what this survival show are portraying them.
Imagine, your debut was cancelled during your first survival show and then on the next survival show, it's obvious that yg himself pushed him away many times and ignored all his effort to be in the debut team. It was the hardest time for Hyunsuk but he would always help lift his members up when they're struggling. And on the last ep, he was mad and embarassed at himself for ranking too low despite being a team known as ACES and the closest to debut team. And they didn't make fun of Junkyu last episode too, they were just simply cheering him up because he was so down. The editing made it look awkward, but they were each other's strength all these years that's why they managed to stay as a team for so long.

It was selfish of Midam to leave for a whole day without notice A DAY before the assessment. It’s like abandoning ur 9-5 job’s big day without telling ur manager. Treasure A couldn’t practice the choreo properly as a result. So Midam basically put the other members’ future AT RISK and just thought of himself and how he felt. Also, it was a good decision to change Treasure B’s leader bcoz they were LITERALLY running out of time considering they were the most inexperienced group. They couldn’t afford to waste any more of their time translating almost everything to Jyuhao. And it would have been selfish of Jyuhao if he had not agreed to let Jihoon take over. Jyuhao would have also put the other members’ future at risk! See? This is Korea. Koreans take other people into account, unlike western artists who are more of an individualist type. Besides, this was a YG show and not some mnet show where they baby the trainees 🙂
Well imagine this.. you and ur classmates were assigned a group project presentation that u have to present in front of the class. This presentation is important bcoz it would determine ur final grade and determine whether or not u’d graduate. U had been preparing for this presentation for a month. I have nothing against Midam and his mental instability. This was a survival show after all..just like how life is a survival of the fittest. He unfortunately was just not fit enough to stay. The main concern here is the term “selfish” used in this video. In my opinion, what Midam did was an act of selfishness bcoz he had to put his SELF first and his emotion before the group A DAY before the Energetic performance, hence the term SELFish. But what hyusuk said to him was NOT an act of selfishness. The treasure makers and i in this comment section are just trying to shed light on being more careful with choice of words next time, especially if u say it on a reaction video since Treasure members watch yt and reaction!videos a lot and hyunsuk might come across this video. But again, everyone is entitled to their opinion and this is their yt channel after all. So we basically have to just agree to disagree.
How would Midam staying benefit hyusuk? Lol u’re not getting it. Midam leaving the show actually benefited hyunsuk more coz it meant fewer number of trainees to compete. There were 29 trainees there and YG announced initially that they would debut 5 members only. If hyunsuk was selfish, then he would have felt glad about Midam leaving. But he was not. On the previous episode. Hyunsuk is pissed and embarrassed because he expected too much from team A since they're the longest running trainees and they did not get a compliment from YG. YG intentionally calling him on the spot to let him watch the youngest trainee basically dissed him. It's more of they're frustrated on themselves to be beaten by the younger trainees than literally being mad at the little ones for beating them. you know pride thingy. And in this episode losing a team member, and trying to let him stay not just because its the last moment they will be treasure A, but I see it as he believes in Midam that he still can make it. It's more of encouragement, as he said "I wish you would've hang in there" maybe he thought that if they'll get a better compliment it will boost Midam's will to stay and be better. It's just a roller coaster of emotion that led him to act like that. And not everything that they're saying is filmed, it's still more to them than what we see :)) anyway thanks for this guys :)
After reading the comments, I hope ams and ev don't misunderstand the treasure makers and think that we're ganging up on them or something cuz we're not. I hope ams & ev know that we appreciate them, we're grateful and adore them so much and we just don't want them to misunderstand the boys especially that they are new teumes and they are getting to know them little by little so they don't know their past fully yet.

Yeah, Hyunsuk's intention was pure because we all know the struggle Treasure A went through the years they were trainees but the words came out were really not well thought off in my opinion (at least based on the translations that we read on the screen and maybe because of the emotions that were roaming the room that time). But I'm still glad he tried his best to say something on that emotional moment for them though, he's a great teammate and a leader, always has been.

Also, it seemed to me that his comment of "I wish you would have hanged till the last assessment" I didn't take it as Hyunsuk asking him to put up until the last assessment for the sake of the group, but rather it seemed like Hyunsuk was so disappointed because it was their last chance to all perform together as Treasure A and he was sad their last performance wouldn't be the 7 of them together since it was very special and their last opportunity. I never saw it as selfish or being unkind or insensitive towards Midam's feelings.

Haha, that's not what Choi Hyun-suk meant by Korean sentiment. It doesn't matter whether you become a debut member or not. It was the last mission with 7 members under the name of Treasure A team, so I think it's more regrettable that we couldn't show the performances of 7 members in the team. In the last episode, Do-young's greeting for Jun-gyu is also seen as an effort by the team members to make Jun-kyu laugh with Korean sentiment. I couldn't speak English, so I looked at the comments with a translator and saw that it was interpreted differently from what Koreans think, so I got help from the translator with the hope that there would be no misunderstanding. the part with jyun hao, I know it looks bad and they should've not changed the leaders but at that time survival mode is on, all their future is on the line and they have so little time to practice. also the fact that most of them are new trainees so they need more practice than the other team so I think that decision was good for all of them honestly.

I dont agree when you said hyunsuk kind of selfish of him when he tried to prevent midam leaving the group. He said that bcuz he and the team wanna go through this as 7 members. How could they make a good performance when it's so hardddd to even communicate with the leader? A leader is so important to make a good performance and being a leader you must consider the others too not only yourself. Gunho choosing hard songs for them when treasure B is obviously the most less trained one out of all the team. And you can see how clueless they are while training and the trainer also said they don't even deserve an F for the performance. So changing the leader is the last thing they could do to improve and jihoon actually **this one is a spoiler** the most experienced despite being in treasure B. Later you will know why. And you can see how the performance is actually not that bad. So, they're doing it for their own goods.

Let me also clarify Hyunsuk's comment in the previous episode.He meant that though they were Treasure A they couldn't make it into the top.He himself said that he was disappointed in himself,it was never meant in an arrogant way.I'm not being a blind fan or anything,but as a Hyunsuk stan I thought you'd know about his personality.He is one of the purest idols I've seen(coming from a multistan) and he's so supportive of others.

The thing with Hyunsuk is that he tries his hardest to be strong when there are difficult circumstances like this one. It may appear like he is cold hearted or that he has a "bad attitude" it really is because of the many things he had gone with Midam. Midam is literally a brother to Hyunsuk they trained together through a hard time. Many people might not know about silver boys which originally consisted of trainees Midam, Woong, Noah, Raesung,Byounggon, Seunghun, Hyunsuk,Jihoon, Junkyu, Yedam and Doyoung, these boys literally went through a lot together. Hyunsuk reacted that what because he did not want to portray his weakness and sadness of not seeing Midam accomplishing his dream with him. I know it may appear like he is showing attitude but it is how YG trains his idols ever since they are trainees to have this tough look no matter the situation, because in the outside world you will deal with a lot worse. YG focuses on making their idols built up character like this, honestly it is portrayed harsh because in a situation like that we expect to see someone weak. Eve YG himself he always appears to look bad and tough with the trainees saying such comments to them because he knows those comments will impact and help the, for the better. Furthermore in the show you will see how slowly Hyunsuk can't handle being strong and shows himself as how he is. Hopefully this is helpful for you to understand because we understand what you mean but that is not how it is. Anyhow, love watching your reactions every week and thank you for reacting!
Oh my god, yess! I wanted to say the same thing. In 2018, even I badly wanted silver boys to debut. And I thought that YGTB was very cruel and unfair to these boys who were already on the verge of debuting (since, YG himself made fans and these silver boys feel this way). And that’s why Mi dam said that this is too much for him to endure after all these years of training now a survival show.
I dont want to judge anyone by watching some 2/3 minutes moments in a survival show. They were together as a team for 3/4 years. So they know each other and the situation better. Hyunsuk was 5th in Mix Nine but the debut was cancelled. Midam was there for 3 years, so he wished Midam could hang in there for another month like he did and debut with them together. Hyunsuk is not my bias or anything but I dont think he was selfish.
About Hyunsuk he didn’t mean it that way. He knows it wasn’t Midam fault. They had been a team for 2-4 years and it’s hard watching your friend leave. That was the last time all of Treasure A performed together.
With the previous episode. It’s so much pressure of Treasure A from YG. YG expects Treasure A to be the best...to be...#1, since they were the longest running trainees. It was a lot of pressure on him. YG comments about how he should be embarrassed didn’t help. If anything it’s more YG fault that Hyunsuk feels that way. He spent 3-4 years as a trainee to get embarrassed by someone who is 7 years younger than him. Like, I said before YG comments about how if he was Hyunsuk he would be embarrassed didn’t help.
I also feel like the editing in the show didn't help much, they purposely edited in order to make it seem like trainees were constantly battling and competing against each other, when we know that was not the case. Especially Hyunsuk who does nothing but support, encourage, and even protect the other trainees especially the younger ones.
@Black Treasure I agree, I think that despite some efforts to make it seem more of a competition and dramatic between the trainees, you can see that it was far from the truth and they all truly just supported and cared for one another.
I don't think Hyunsuk is being selfish, he just hopes that Treasure A who has been together for years can debut together. and remembering that hyunsuk has been on 2 survival shows, where he previously participated in the 'mixnine' and had managed to be in the debut line-up and finally the debut failed🤧
here’s my opinion
1. Hyunsuk wasnt being selfish. the words he said in the past eps “we dont deserves below there” wasnt for the other teams. it more to their hardwork. they trained the longest yet they still ranked below of the new trainees. and it makes Hyunsuk mad. byunggon also said “i dont like this” when they saw their ranking. it was for themselves. that’s when it hits them that they still lacking despites being trained over 4 years+ therefore,hyunsuk said “im embarrassed” when he lost to junhyuk. also,he didnt mad at Junhyuk. but more to YG bcs YG setting them both to battle like that. if it was me,i would get mad too😂 in upcoming eps,Hyunsuk & Junhyuk become brothers. the sweetest thing you’ll ever watch during ygtb.
2. Team B changing the leader. team B had struggle with language barrier. i also felt bad for guno,but we had to think about the time they had wasted just to communicate with each other. their practice with the dance teacher showed that their teamwork wasnt good. the dance looks messy. unlike Team J,they had to changed their song. but they made it bcs they’re all Japanese it bcs they can communicate well. after they changed to Jihoon,they give guno the dance part too. Guno shine the most in Go Go performance. so it’s a win-win.
3. In YG,there’s a rule. it was shown in eps1. once they break the rule,they have to leave. Hyunsuk wasnt being selfish for trying to hold midam into the group. he just doesnt want his teamA members go through hard times. Midam is not very social person,he have the same personality with Junkyu. but Midam are mentally exhausted that he decide to “run away” that night. that put teamA into trouble as well,it would affect the whole group. since,it was near their monthly evaluation. Hyunsuk was being honest and he wish Midam could stay a little more bcs that was their last TeamA performance. there’s one video on vlive channel that TeamA cheered for Midam and asking fans to support midam. TeamA are still close until now. they’re family but in different agency.
4. i hope you watch others YGTB segments like
-YGTB diary cam(every trainees updating how their practice goes)
-YGTB reaction cam(all ygtb trainees sit down and watch ygtb together)
-YGTB survey cam(ygtb trainees votes each other)
-YGTB game cam(ygtb trainees play some games)
-YGTB christmas party(ygtb gather and prepared for christmas party)
-YGTB social gathering(ygtb trainees played game called manito and prepared gifts for each other)
-YGTB chuseok special(ygtb trainees gather to celebrate chuseok with some games)
all these segments from YGTB is gold. it shows how closed they are despite they had to against each other. i would burst into tears whenever i watch all YGTB contents bcs it’s too precious. their friendship are th sweetest!!

Yes YGTB as in the competition itself is intense and they are all in a competitive mode, while the other YGTB segments are fun and it shows how really close they are. Also I love Ammy and Evs that they speak their mind I love that from them.
I'm not hating on what you said about Hyunsuk. But I suggest you do some research about him. Treasure A or Silver boys are the longest trainees (6 years-2years) they grow up together as a team, and the way you all said that Treasure A doesn't value Midam that much is so very wrong, you may think that Hyunsuk is so selfish to say that kind word, but the truth is he just only wants them to debut together. Treasure A expect their going to debut soon, but YGTB happened. They wish to debut together as a TREASURE A, but Midam wasn't able to take it anymore (which I understand why he did that), so just imagine how frustrated Hyunsuk and the others members, because their wish to debut together as team will never happen. We don't any rights to say a word "selfish" when we're not on their position, because in the end of the day only god knows how they suffered just to be the TREASURE they are right now.

In a way this is really our last", this is because after their last assessment they're not gonna be able to perform as a team anymore because survival will start and they will all be separated and they are sad because their dream of debuting together as a team is now impossible and now that midam decided to go it's confirmed that it is really their last :( oh I wish we get more silver boys interaction in the future bc they r all so precious.

I understand how you feel about Hyunsuk's when Midam is leaving. But I think what Hyunsuk is trying to convey to Midam when he said "you could have hang in there" . is the same as saying that "dont give up" like Midam is now doubting if he will be able to debut or not but if he could hang in there and give his best for the last performance, who knows, he might be able to make it.
Because actually Hyunsuk feels the same way too. He is also doubting if he will be able to debut or not. And it feels like pointless for him to do this after what happened to MixNine (survival show) where he is about to debut but it was canceled and then he is now in another survival show, YGTB, so it feels to him like he will start all over again.
If there is any person who can understand Midam at that time, its definitely Hyunsuk. and he just want Midam to give his best even for the last time, because who knows after that performance Midam will make it.

But i guess, because Hyunsuk is so straightforward, so it sounds like he dont have compassion towards Midam. I kinda agree with these people defending Hyungsuk here. I don’t have a bias in treasure because I love them all and I’ve known some of them from their pre-debut days especially silver boys. Silver boys are the popular trainees before in yg which the fans thought they’re gonna debut all but unfortunately some of them left and only 6 members stay, 5 became members of treasure and 1 became a producer in yg now(Raesung).on my opinion on how I discern to what happened in ep1 and 2, I think Hyungsuk is just desperate. I actually understand his action that time. And in fact I think he’s not selfish because being selfish is totally disregarding other people’s existence for his own good but Hyungsuk is still thoughtful to other members. He has this competitive side which is natural because they are in a competition and they are always in a competition ever since they’ve entered yg. And we can’t disregard to what happened in mixnine. He’s been trough a lot that’s why he is so competitive. He is so anxious to what’s happening that time which he only wanted was to debut together with his longtime friends.

Watching and rooting for them for how many years made me understand their personalities more. And I think you kinda misunderstood what Hyunsuk was trying to imply. They have been training for so long and are good friends. He knows how much Midam wanted to debut. It's their dream. Team A's (silverboys) dream was to debut together. I personally think what Suk was trying to imply is that. The chance of them debuting together was in front of them, they just have to work so hard to get into the debut line. He knows how much Midam struggled in training for years just to debut but because of that one incident it was all gone. Welp that's how Big Entertainments in Korea works. Team A dreamed of debuting together, they know each members' struggles, but Ygtb was really cruel for them. The show made their friendship stronger but also made gaps. Midam's Father said he (Midam) decided to leave because he can't compete with his friends, since they needed to go against each other whom they thought they're going to debut with. This is how mediaplay and editing works so I think that really triggered you ㅠㅠ.
And the "Longest Trainee" part, what they said was, they were mad, upset and embarrassed. Looking at the situation they said that because of the fact that they where nowhere to be seen on the top. They have been training the longest in the company, Yg spends a Lot I mean "a Lot" of money for them for how many years. And at that time Team A should be more polished than the other teams, but the first rankings says the opposite. They were mad and upset at their "selves" because as the longest trainee they should and could've done better. And I think you also misunderstood that part hehe😅
P.s Midam went to AAP.Y Ent then joined Produce X 101 but sadly he didn't made it in the debut lineup. He has a song titled Hello Christmas with Jung Myong Hoon (you guys should listen to this). But then this November, Midam's Father said or announced that Midam already gave up on his dream being an idol :'(. Right now I just want happiness for ygtb babies and for them to achieve their dreams.

I agree. I was first a Mate before I become a Teume. I was hoping and was expecting Silverboys to debut together. And I know how sad for the boys where when Midam left because they lost another member😔 and I know there were no bad intentions with what Hyunsuk said. I'm happy for them now, Noa, Woong, Raesung and Midam and I hope they'll get the happiness they deserve.

If Hyunsuk was selfish he would have let Midam go without feeling upset or disappointed, thinking there was less trainee to compete with the debuting lineup. After all, it was a survival show and an individual competition they have to battle against each other. He said that and feels that way not because He wants to win for himself, No but because He wants it for Midam. He just wants Midam to grab that last chance to hopefully debut, for Midam himself, and also He wants it for their team not for him. He's not just thinking about himself It's for his team and Midam's sake, It's painful for him to let Him leave because it's their dream to debut they already did practice the performance together but sadly Midam decided to quit. Also after Midam left YGTB he joined Produce 101.
Uhmm it was not easy for Midam, please. If he didn't want to continue in YG as a trianee than it is his wish. He was obviously having a hard time in that company so he wanted to quit.

I hope you won't misunderstand Hyunsuk, in my perspective that's not what he meant. That performance was their last as Team A, and they've been together for years. Hyunsuk just wanted him to stay for a little longer, to hang in there for the last time, since it was really their last chance as a group. He's not selfish, he really love the trainees I swear, you will see that in the next episodes.
As for changing the leader, they only have one month to prepare for their live performance. They have to choreograph the song, change some parts, and write their own lyrics (raps). Yes it may seem a bitch move, but they had to do it for their own sake. Time is of the essence, and changing the leader is the best decision especially if they can't communicate properly, which is very cruical when it comes to group performance.
Anyway I still love your reaction. Please don't feel bad with our comments. We just don't want you to misunderstand the boys, especially Hyunsuk since he's your bias :) He's kind, I promise. In the next episodes your heart will definitely cry for him.
you guys are still at the third episode, and things were all just starting here. Soon you'll witness how hyunsuk been having a hard time, Treasure A's pressure, desperation and doubts to themselves being a Treasure A, as the leading team to debut and the oldest trainees, and Jihoon's story as YG trainee and why he unintentionally made an initiative to lead the group.
Btw, Jyunhao, the original leader replaced by Jihoon, he is from Taiwan. That's why he's also having a hard time speaking korean.
PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION: If you gonna say something u can pause for a while, coz in this episode I feel kinda frustrated whenever you guys are chatting while the video is playing. Some scenes were not given focus or were just ignored then u come back watching but u guys missed a lot infos. I noticed that in this episode, that maybe also one of the reasons why some scenes were misunderstood. I honestly think you misunderstood the whole hyunsuk situation :( Hyunsuk is easily the least selfish person in treasure and that showed especially in yg treasure box with how he treated the trainees especially the younger ones. He just always had this leader personality and he knew the potential of each member in treasure A. They were a family and they were really close to one another. Him being frustrated with the past episodes also comes from the pain of almost debuting in mixnine despite being one of the show’s maknaes yet having to get that debut cancel and join another survival show with no assurance of even debuting (which also got pushed back 2 years). Hyunsuk did a lot to be noticed and get in yg so this really meant a lot to him. Anyway, i know you just misunderstood it especially with how it was edited and showed in the show but trust me you’ll love hyunsuk even more because of ygtb, here you’ll see what a true all-rounder our leader hyunsuk is 🤍

I'm quite surprised the word 'selfish' was used on Hyunsuk >< from Mixnine till now, he always put others before himself and we can clearly see it especially in Mixnine. His debut journey was not as easy as we only see in Treasure box if anyone want to know more about him, I'll suggest you to watch Mixnine before Treasure Box instead.His reaction towards Midam was only because he really hope all members from Team A will debut together but Midam was giving up this hope when their dreams are so near and Hyunsuk was disappointed that now they can't fufill this dream together. I hope this reaction will not cause any misunderstanding to those who are new to Treasure especially towards Hyunsuk.
Hyunsuk wants to portray a strong image but in reality he is such a vulnerable guy and I understands him- you will see in the upcoming episodes what I meant. Edit: I've been following Hyunsuk since mixnine so I'm kinda protective of him. What are you gonna do when you're supposed to debut but at the last minute got cancelled and then here it comes, another survival show just to debut. That's why Hyunsuk has this mentality to never give up, just hang in there and everything will come to it's fruition. As a Korean treasure maker, I didn't think that Hyunsuk's attitude was selfish from the scene. Koreans tend to be more proud of being recognized by their team members. I thought that Hyunsuk wanted to say it to Midam. That's why the editor of YGTB showed Hyunsuk's comment without editting. It is just misunderstanding from the culture difference. Ok, I totally understand both of your opinion and point. Just remember that All trainees are struggling in their own way they all gone through so much especially treasure A cause they all have been in YG the longest plus they already faced 2 survival shows, Him and Midam are part of the original silver boys. He has that bond with them I think Hyunsuk is just sad, and disappointed about him leaving and not taking that last chance to debut cause HE knows Midam got those skills, and he wants all treasure A to debut. I think he just wants them (Treasure A) to all debut and sadly it will be their last team performance for them as team A, He cares about his teammates thus you can see Hyun-suk crying when Midam was leaving. I also understand and respect Midam's decision, the boys faced 2 survival shows already they have been through so much since mixnine and after that, they all felt and believed they have the upper hand and have the chance to debut as a team but YG announced YGTB so it kinda put pressure on Midam and drained him. I understand both Midam and Hyunsuk's sides.

It’s just kinda disappointing how you judged Hyunsuk by watching a few-minute clips here. I hope let’s be careful with the choice of words we say. Judging him as “selfish” is a very strong statement without knowing their background especially their team being together for years. You have to understand where he’s coming from. It’s not how you interpreted it to be.
Also, just a TMI, you may know already that Hyunsuk was in a survival show called Mixnine prior this, and really struggled a lot mentally/emotionally there to finally make the cut but his supposedly debut that time was cancelled so you can also not blame him for having this mindset of despair and determination. This fact made me respect him more.
i think you misunderstood hyunsuk. Technically it is going to be their last performance as Team A coz after that episode they are no longer a team. they will compete individually that why its very important to Team A. To think that this is the only episode I saw Junkyu cried says a lot. The seven of them trained together for years.

Midam's "I NEED TO LEAVE THIS PLACE" still haunts me to this day. It's really hard to be an introvert. But maybe knowing about the Silver Boys when I watched YGTB made me understand where Hyunsuk is coming from. It was heartbreaking, esp the part where they part ways as Treasure A.

Midam is actually still friend with the og team A and they've been friends for so long, including Hyunsuk, like I think even after the program ended people saw them together so it's pretty weird why he said he didn't socialize with them, so maybe that's why they couldn't understand him, tbh what was too much for Midam was the fact that there were cameras, everything was being recorded, having to win a survival, all that pressure, the yg treasure box was too much for him

What you felt watching this episode was the roller coaster of emotions we went through. This YGTB is the show that definitely defined the 12 members. Not to spoil anything but this is why Teumes are really loyal to these boys and protective because YGTB made them who they are right now. TMAP was more of the final touch, sticking them with glue and bond them as 1 group.
I know how frustrating it may have been to see Hyunsuk around this time and even for the rest of the 12 members of which you'll eventually see too in the coming 7 episodes, BUT this is the real deal. This is how survival shows should be. No sugar coating or dramas just to gain popularity. This is how real it gets with YG.

All the trainees were stressed out because this is a survival show. Midam being a trainee at yg for 2 years. He loves his friends so much. Team A are more like friends and brothers. We knew the real reason of him leaving yg last year from Midam’s dad letter.
The letter said “Young midam who really liked music and singing decided to pursue the bleak path of being an idol and went to seoul for auditions here and there and eventually dream agency yg contacted him but when he entered yg he realised it is not how he dreamt of it to be. midam who is naturally gentle/innocent and kind found it tough as he had to compete with his team mates and that created gaps(like distance) in their friendship”
I hope you don’t get Hyunsuk wrong, he doesn’t want midam to stay for team but he wants midam to stay as his friends. He’s not a selfish man but he’s a selfless man. His debut has been canceled once before yg treasure box but he never give up. He was just want his friend to be more patience.

No offense and I really respect your comment about hyun suk but probably in my opinion he just wanted all treasure A to debut and he's desperate in a good way and maybe it was a little selfish of him to say thay but he just want him to debut as well bcos they've trained longer than anyone there. And I think in the part of Midam leaving he just left without even saying anything to them during their practive which put them in a risk since its their last assessment during that time. And I think that hyunsuk also felt that he shoud have atleast told them beforehand that he was leaving and I guess that shook him and thats an impromptu scene he just literally said goodbye. I mean theyre friends way longer. I think in the part of hyun suk he's just upset. In the end I know they're friends thats he just wanted him not to gave up his dreams easily. In the previous episode he is getting annoyed of them not topping in the rank more of because he is frustated of himself and their team for not doing well despite being there for the longest and not because he see himself above the other trainees. Maybe you should give that scene a rewatch to understand him. Same as on this episode he is frustrated to Midam for not hanging in there. He wants them to debut together but he just gave up. They've been together since silver boys and he really cares a lot for the members. You're completely seeing him in the wrong light here. Thanks.

I have been a fan of hyunsuk ever since MIXNINE. hyunsuk, junkyu and byounggon are my favorite yg trainees since they appeared in mixnine. Hyunsuk in Mixnine and in YGTB is I must say he has pretty harsh personality beacause in the first place he needs to compete for him to debut, considering there is a lot of trainees that has also a potential. His one and only dream is to debut under YG so he need to protect his position at all cost to debut, also you can tell from his intension that he really wants treasure A to debut as a team because they spent years together as a trainee. Your reaction is normal because that was hyunsuk's feelings being hurt he expresses his emotional feels because he cares for his team you may say he is selfish but nah he is the sweetest and I know you guys know it.
Fact too is that YG really puts so much pressure in someone who he really thinks that has a potential being a leader and that he wants hyunsuk to be the best leader of the group (you realized it in the upcomming episodes) YG really adored hyunsuk eversince mixnine so he expect so much from him.Hyunsuk's sweat and tears pays off as he is now the leader of Treasure.

DONT MISUNDERSTAND HYUNSUK, The last time you felt he was being entitled. That was never the case coz he was simply ashamed to be called out despite the years of practice and being in Team A. It was a Battle with his self More. HYUNSUK IS FOR THE TEAM. HE ACTUALLY WANTED MIDAM TO HOLD ON LIKE THEY ALL DO. AND DON'T SAY THAT THEY DID NOT TRY TO REACH OUT. Why is it there Fault Now when Mi dam Left? He is the eldest and has the Most pressure and Can't understand why Him and probably Team A still has to Compete when they have Trained so Long. The public actually expected them to Debut as a GROUP (aka Silverboys). He also left to get a shot at PRODUCE. I have to admit, My heart cried for Treasure A Boys coz they really wanted to All Debut AS A TEAM but it never Came Easy.
The Selection also navigated Towards a Younger and Fresher Trainee which you cant discount also coz there were plenty of talented Trainees with great presence in the Other Group too.
I'm Just Happy that there were So Many YGTB alum who debuted❤
TEAM A is the longest that’s why yg is more strict to them than the other team and he expect more every evaluation that’s why i am kinda hurt that you misunderstood hyunsuk and the rest of team A :( maybe because i follow them for the longest time now that’s why i know some of the things behind the scene

About the changing leader, its understandable. its just like u have to choose 2 destination. if they keep on with communication problem, they can’t deliver their performance. they trust Jihoon because Jihoon is the longest trainee between them. remember that Jihoon leave YG? he used to train with Team A. when he cb again he join Team B. at least Jihoon can guide them since he have experience monthly evaluation more than other members. Jihoon & Hyunsuk best leaders. this show really polished their leadership.
At least, Hyunsuk learned his lesson now. I actually didn't like the time Hyunsuk was kind of prideful in the first episode but I can understand. I've watched the Mixnine and and I understand where he's coming from. As we all know, he was supposed to debut before and seeing the results made him mad. I'm not saying that what he did was right but the point is he learned his lesson now. He became a Better person. I think that was also YG's way to humble him.

I've been waiting for this reaction but I kinda lil' bit disappointed with your comments towards Hyunsuk. As a ygtb stan I just wanted to clarify with what Hyunsuk's said. Hyunsuk was just never expect that their monthly assessment (in episode 1) was their last performance as a group, as a TREASURE A and how he just hoping that they could still perform as a group (as a SILVER BOYS who trained for a long years). Hyunsuk is the selfless person I've ever known. And just if ever you have watch their live during ygtb, you could tell that he's one of the most person who have the purest heart. He didn't meant his words in a negative way.

HYUNSUK being so selfish. I could understand Why. He wants the best to everyone. Being hard to others may not be a bad thing. If you want to succeed , work hard. That id why he has that kind of attitude. He wants to give everyone that hardwork pays off
Because knowing him, he was in MIXNINE Competition and he was supposed to debut. And I understand why he wants to be on top , because he just work hard and was about to debut when it was being cancelled
So yeah, the competition was so fierce and frustration, but that build him enough strength to be one of the leaders. If you noticed him being hard on other members its because he wants them to do good for the benefit of themselves too.
I thinks its not about hyunsuk being selfish but being determined and always looking out for his friends especially those who struggle. He just wanted them to succeed and debut together.

@@somethinggood8203 exactly being in that position before where he was supposed to debut in mixnine until the treasure box at some point he should have surrendered and lose his confidence but he didnt he still trying to debut after all thats happened.
I think that mindset of hyu suk really pushed him throughout his journey and made him strong and thats just what he wanted for he's co trainee to also not give up just like him

Huynsuk is the softest one. He didnt have any ill intention. He wanted Midam to stay and fight till the end. Why we called YG family is because even Trainees or artists left the company, they are in good terms and still supportive to each other. Even most YG Stan still support to trainees and artists whoever left the company.
I don't think selfish and heartless is the right word to used for Hyunsuk ... TREASURE A have been together for 2-4 years and Hyunsuk saw something in Midam and he think that Midam still didn't show his full potential. He just want all the TREASURE A trainee to debut...
seeing how much junghwans been through literally breaks my heart and it only gets worse, now i understand why hes everyone's baby in treasure, hes been through a lot for a 13/14yo kid :(
I think you misunderstood what Hyunsuk said to Midam
But the way He said it straightforward I feel that he really show cares to Midam like He really want them to debut together
Cuz he know what midam feels and he really see that midam has that potential
I'll just say that Hyunsuk knows exactly the feeling that things don't turn out the way one wishes they were on another MIXNINE survival show and it wasn't a pleasant experience at all. They humiliated him a bit with words like "you really are from YG or you are from YG and that's what the only thing you can show" were things he heard so nothing was easy for him even though he remained in the final lineup they canceled the debut and in YGTREASURE BOX It didn't turn out very well, he was about to not debut, Hyunsuk knew Midam's abilities and he just wanted him to stay on the team to show his talent because he deserved to debut too
As someone who has been watching Hyunsuk since mixnine his actually very selfless. I think you guys misunderstood his words, they trained the longest and Hyunsuk is very competitive and at the same time very selfless so he wanted all TEAM A to debut but one is already giving up, he was probably sad that every Team A might just give up after all those years of training. Hyunsuk even told Junkyu that if he doesn't make it, he wishes Junkyu to make it for him.
When he also said that it's disappointing that they aren't on top, its because they trained the longest but still couldn't manage to do well , he didn't mean that they're " Team A they should be on top" in a way that we shouldn't work hard. He was trying to say that since they're Team A they should do much better than the rest but the results was a disappointment for them that actually made him realize that he has to do better.
Also his very competitive because he has been in 2 survival shows (mixnine debut boys got cancelled) and YGTB is his last chance. If he can't make it, his too old to wait for the next BG. And his very competitive through out the survival show but still showed care to his co-trainees.
