This is definitely on my list of Patrick-reviewed places to visit! But it may have to wait until the fall; we are roasting right now in the desert. I’ve lived here for 17 years and I thought I had worked out what would survive our summers and what would not-but alas, I have already lost so many plants this summer and we’re not even half way through! I’ve brought in all that I can, but I don’t have much room inside my small home. Yesterday I found one of my beautiful crassula ovatas that I had made into a bonsai, and then somehow missed it when I was bringing stuff inside. The poor plant looked as if it had melted from the inside, with the stem draped over the side of the pot and it had lost every leaf. It is so disheartening.
