Bang is still a top adc, Wolf/Effort not really a problem, Thal was not a problem, Ucal outplayed Faker, Blank is not gooe enough to be LCK jungler of top team
Considering SKT almost missed playoffs getting 4th in the LCK is a good result. They still go to rift rivals, and get championship points. So all and all not the worst result in a split where skt had the worst roster in recent memory.
mitdau48 Nothing is wrong with their roster. The problem is depth of champ pools in key roles. Blank literally has two champs he can play that are good right noe in Zac and olaf and their top is severely limited champion wise in what he could play. Ban their champs and they've essentially lost.

Cast your eyes on Bang, he's picking Tristana, a super weak ADC in 8.6, over Jhin, a super strong ADC in 8.6, I think that's a bigger issue. But hey, in low ELO solo queue, always blame the jungler, that's why most of the negative comments are directed at Blank.
Blank literally had 3 kills the entire series with 21 deaths and only 18 assists, like what are you talking about he literally inted every single game and did the least damage out of everyone on the team including Wolf. It's actually crazy how bad he looked this series, without Zac or Olaf he is a horrible player it's really as simple as that.

Like, you're looking at games to be ending in no more than thirty-five minutes in the current patch most of the time given how strong the baron buff is now, is there any need in drafting Swain, Azir AND Tristana? Or Swain, GP AND Tristana, when these compositions get strong post forty minutes? You're drafting all your carry roles into a disadvantage to start with, which just lets the enemy snowball in any and every lane to run you over with. SKT only won Game 1 through luck, not through draft. Tristana is useless this patch, and that's a fact.

He's previously had good success on him, yet he took Tristana in the previous two games, which is a horrendous pick in the current meta, since it takes far too long for Tristana to be relevant in an early game meta, after baron got a large buff. Jhin on the other hand, is just one of the strongest ADCs in 8.6/8.7, and should be a contested pick, if anything, rather than the useless Tristana.
In all four games, SKT had a heavy peeling composition, it was the right composition to play Jhin no matter how you look at it, and in all four games, SKT picked scaling champions in other roles, so there was no point in picking a hyper carry. Picking a hyper carry in that situation just makes your entire team super weak in the early game, so it's literally worse for the composition they picked, which KT abused, and rightfully so. If they picked Jhin, they would've had more early to mid game power to bridge that gap to get into the late game. In game one, okay, they won that, but they already had Swain and Azir for late game carrying, why still pick Tristana? Same for game two, Swain and Gangplank are good enough for late game. Game three SKT had Swain only, so arguable, but it should be enough and Jhin isn't bad late game. Game four SKT had Azir only, but they picked Ezreal for that early to mid game, so why not pick Jhin instead when Jhin is that much stronger in 8.6? Yes, Ezreal is Bang's comfort and arguably best champion, but in professional play, and SKT should know this better than anyone else, playing the meta power picks is better than playing comfort picks. Ezreal can slide, but it just made no sense to play Tristana even for one game in the entire series.
It makes sense then, although looking back, he was 4/0 in Summer 2017 with Jhin, so I don't see what the problem is, but if that's what he's saying for 8.6, then SKT were destined to lose, since Tristana is awful in this patch. Funnily enough, everyone is criticising Blank for not doing well, but no one is criticising Bang for being unable to play one of the strongest, if not the strongest, ADC in the meta.
