Here they are, Paul Revere and the Raiders featuring Mark Lindsay, on tour in 1969, playing in Paris, of all places, opening for the Beach Boys. I don't know what success, if any, the Raiders had in France. I know they weren't very popular in England - I'm told they were too American; yet English audiences seemed to love anything American. It certainly wasn't the costumes, as they had dropped those by 1969, as you can see in the video. No attempts at comedy, either - a lot of things had changed since 1965.
