Laurie and Sticky era, the absolute best. I remember driving out west listening to the ABC radio broadcast when Daley played his last game. It was a sad occasion I still recall clearly, to this day. The car, the afternoon light on the dry countryside, the finality of not being able to watch him again. Too old. I really loved his playing. He had a natural talent.
Some good match ups here but Look at the RAIDERS starting pack ... That's a half backs dream , then look at who's outside him but I don't think the salary cap was then as it is today.
This 94 Raiders team fit under the salary cap. They got done for minor salary cap infringements, I think in third party in 91, and because of it, basically lost Glenn Lazarus. But they lost him to Brisbane, who surely would have been close to their cap as well.
