@@bmwblog I love the 3.0 CSL Hommage! They should do a more normal looking version of the Hommage. In General they should go back to sharknose design!😉
Having test driven one of Sytner’s U.K. demonstrators, but never having driven a 7, I can partially answer your question. The damping manages to combine barely any body roll with a smooth ride to a degree I haven’t experience in any other car. There are smoother riding cars and there are sharper handling cars but I suspect there are few, if any cars that combine good handling and cosseting damping so well. Having said that the ride is not akin to a magic carpet and you can definitely feel every rut in the road through your arse: it’s just that the ruts don’t crash through the cabin or upset the car. The ride is smoother than that of an M340i on which the car is based and I have driven. Bear in mind though I’m biased as my B3 is on order :)
Finally a decent review of an Alpina. There’s about ten if I’m lucky in English, have you tried the B5 touring as I like the look of them as I currently drive a big estate ( I not mention the brand as it’s not worth the abuse😉)
@@bmwblog good morning, Thank you very much for your answer. I thought this car is based on the 3 serie with the S58 engine. I didnt expect it to be based on the 340i. I have just a question , why the output power is 462hp and not close to 510 like in the M3 competition? The B5 is much closer to the M5 comp. Why not the same with the B3?? Otherwise this car is beautiful and class. I own the current RS4 but i think i will order this B3 touring, coz i cannot stand the M3 front face.
We talked about them. We just didn't have a chance to film it. You can also see the review here www.bmwblog.com/2020/10/05/2020-bmw-alpina-b3-touring-review/
462hp is plenty for the kind of person that will actually buy this type of car - one that is ultimately going to be ferrying the wife and kids across countries and continents on public roads with speed limits. Nobody is taking one of these on the track or going drifting in it.

The lip above the windshield is to diver air over the sunroof to reduce buffetting. Nothing to do with top speed
This is absolutely gorgeous. Subtle, understated, and well designed. I wish we got these in the US!
Maybe one day they bring them over.
😍😍😍beautiful car ....have been waiting for this
Too bad there wasn't any driving footage in this clip 🤔
Agree, why??
Thx for the video. Ordered mine last Saturday
Hope you enjoy it!
What a beautiful car, so classy and these wheels !
They are!
such a beautiful car.
Good review but why not driving impressions while u drive it? Seems so incomplete lol
Agree 100
IMO it's the perfect "BMW" in many ways!👍If not the perfect one, still a very good one! You know, oppinions and taste changes many times...😉🤣👍
What would be the perfect one?

Hi!
Appreciated your video!
Any video while actually driving the car?
1900kg?
why are they so heavy?
Driving ?
We drove it, but couldn't capture it on video. We published a review here also www.bmwblog.com/2020/10/05/2020-bmw-alpina-b3-touring-review/
exhaust sound?
Scroll all the way to the end
Looks so much classier than the RS4
Both area great designs
🤤
How about the consumption of this car?
@BMWBlog was the ride comfort in comfort plus really that great? How would it compare to say a new 7 series which rides on air suspension? Thanks

@@Watson1973 B3 Touring #007
Let me loop in Marc. He drove it
How about actually driving it ?
We did drive it. I posted the review above
GO BMW GO...
Lovley car. But why all the talk and no driving.
The perfect will be the D3S touring
Both are great. But yes, that diesel is awesome
So much GOOD LOOKING than the current ugly M3 👍👍👍
Apples and pears though. The B3 is based on the M340i

There is a problem with the name. "Alpina" sounds like the designation of the next Suzuki 1.3 litre hatchback.
It's such an iconic name
did he just say 1940 kg ? wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just don’t get the Alpina wheels. Not for me. The tail pipes and logo on the front spoiler looks like its been pimped up in Southend.
All these are Alpina's signature for merely four decades. And in my opinion they still look better than the stock BMW design.
Iconic wheels. Old school customers love them. We do too
Honestly this is pointless if you don’t include any actual driving impressions...

1940kg
Just get an E63s
Is it under £30,000?, then, no, it’s not the perfect car!🤪
Lovely car. Shit sound.
462hp is to slow - I want the same hp as the Sedan in production that pushes out 620hp.
300kph is Slow?!😂😂😂
