    03:35 Should sharpen the blade only one way, there are couple techniques but more one way and obliquous makes the metal cut marvelous. Same on cutting, you do front to back, people tend to go back and forth but that makes it harder, that is why blades are slimmer on tip and larger on back.

    Glad to see your son stepping in, but I'm wondering about the degree of that chef edge? Ideally it is supposed to be 45 degrees. Hard to do that on a stone, and he is going to cut his finger tips off holding it like that! Yikes!

    i hope that knife is a walmart special! you would never "sharpen" a knife this way, as a person who appreciates good knives this is painful to watch!
