I believe the condensation is aimed at the exterior fan on purpose. It helps cool the exterior fins, rather than having hot air on the fins. This increases the efficiency and saves you more on energy.

i have been using this unit everyday. the app allows me to avoid peak charges by setting a schedule around peak. the sound of the condenser fan w/ condensate water is annoying, though, but i have gotten used to it and it does fade out as the humidity is removed from the space.
I really like it so far. I hope it works out for you, too.

Thanks. I think that’s a the high efficiency model. Would be interesting to hear if you are actually saving money after couple months

I don’t having anything similar to compare with. Will post my electrical usage last summer on my central cooling unit to this summer. See you then!

Did you try other things to clean up the insulation? Currently trying to see if I can make something up for a midea u-shaped unit for my bedroom. Only have sliding windows in the entire house…

No. I have decided I want to remove the unit during cooler months, and therefore have access to the window for ventilation. Maybe next summer I can figure out something more aesthetic like a plexi-glass frame.
