I want to play some traditional ska with you. I just went to guitar center and tried this on one of their drum sets. It's way harder than it looks. (Also, I'm a guitarist, not a drummer. But I can't find anyone to play ska and rocksteady with so I might just have to start drumming myself.)
Just listen to a ton of Lloyd Knibb or Winston Grennan and you should be able to figure it out. My group's drummers had the luxury of having Lloyd Knibb teach them in person.
@@Ian_Foreman_Drums Surprisingly you've got it but you know you know when there a recipe with ingredients you lack one something the Jamaicans grew up on rhythm if I didn't have rhythm I'd give you anA+ but i give you an A your a very good drummer but aren't you Latina Latinas have rhythm maybe not the high percussive one like Jamaica but still I know Latinas have tremendous rhythm your good the off beat if derply rooted in jsmaican folk drumsits hard to pin

Forget background your good the off beat is something I grew up on through the folk drums it's not easy to lock
