I read this book for the first time in the summer of 2018 and as a Protestant Christian, it tore me apart and built me back up anew. Happy to find your channel, and to hear your review.
Thanks for the video! Despite being a bit short it was quite insightful. You may consider increasing the volume a bit. It´s strenuous to understand you at some moments and takes some of the focus from the content. Keep up the work and the best of luck to you! PS: I recommend the works: Psychological types and Aion from Jung. They´re quite essential for the comprehension of his main ideas
Another great video. I have one suggestion, try to increase the output volume. You could use a Joe Rogan video for the audio reference. Don't know what software you're using, but a compressor and the increase to volume would help keep everything uniform. Keep up the great work! Also, do you have any social media, other than the substack?
Thanks! Yeah, someone mentioned the audio issue and I cannot seem to change it once published. But, I will of course increase it going forward. When you mention Joe Rogan for reference, do you mean simply listening to the volume as a comparison or is there something technical you know of? Thanks again, and my only real other media right now is Medium where I have been writing for awhile. Many of the same articles but more than just the book reviews: medium.com/@thomasstthomas
I just found this channel and subscribed! I like the title of the channel. I have some books that I think you would find interesting because they reflect the power of the brain, but I'm not sure if they are some you would review. They are a bit different from the ones I've seen you review, but nevertheless, I'll say which ones. Sybil- about a woman with 16 different personalities who suffered from dissociative identity disorder. The alchemist- a boy who finds the treasure in himself. Even if you don't review them, I think they help understand ourselves and the power of our minds. Sybil is more scientific and accurate, the alchemist is more philosophical, but has many lessons of the mind. I like what your doing!
I truly appreciate your comment here. I'm familiar with Sybil as the movie. I remember watching it as a young kid and being gripped and a bit horrified by it. I'm thinking of branching out a bit from just JBP books here on the channel, as of course I read more than just his list.
The more I think about Jung, the more I want to read him. I'm sure I'll get there soon. And seeing as how you're a hatul, and my cat's name is Hatuli, I cannot refuse this request.
Also, you should tell us your background and/or why you're so interested in these books! It would help establish a connection and understanding for the viewers! Just a suggestion 🙂
Cheers. I found your post looking for JBP speaking on Answers to Job. I was surprised to not find one? If anyone has a link or know where he discusses the book. He has mentioned Aion. I love the book(anything Jung tbh), so was surprised he hasn't spoke on it many times.
Thanks for stoping by! Yeah, I don't think there is a specific video JBP has on this book. All I have seen are clips throughout his talks referring to it as a caveat.
@@MrMulatto23 I found his discussion in class on the book of Job, that surprises me even more, especially sine he has mentioned Aion, and seems he found it even more profound. That only has me wondering why he has not discussed it. Listening again, for the upteeth time, not a bad version on Librivox if anyone wants the audio - I listen on my walks or often while I do a form of active imagination...
@@MrMulatto23 I am sorry to say it is absent from USA catalogue? This is not uncommon especially not a surprise with the estates of many authors. There is a great Ukemi version available that I can recommend. I mentioned the Librivox version since I downloaded it years ago. I apologize if I got your hopes up.

Thank you!
It really changed my mind on many things, but that’s what Jung tends to do.

Wonderful and thanks for the feedback. I'll see if I can do that in the editor. Very helpful!

The algorithm brought me here, and i wish to show my support while also bestowing upon you the request of reviewing the Red & Black books.

Good advice! I'll do that thanks to you on my next one. :)
