    Everything I've EVER owned from BD has been bomber. I have a light rain shell, belay jacket, harnesses, biner's, EVERYTHING!!! And it's a small company too, with all climbers, so I like supporting them anyway

    Another great video! Have just ordered the 35 as Amazon have a great deal on (£37 and >£100 everywhere else). Another bag I would recommend is the Karrimor SF Sabre 45. Its well known in bushcraft circles but its got to be the most versatile bag out there. An absolute tank and modular (can be expanded from 45 litre to 75 litre), comfortable and light for its toughness. Think I will use the Creek 35 for shorter walk ins but the Karrimor for longer walk ins/longer days.

    Great review, very detailed! May I ask you if, in your personal opinion, this backpack would be suitable also for alpine climbing or long approaching/trekking sessions? I have no chance of trying it in physical stores and before ordering it online I would like to be sure that the thermoformed backpanel is enough stiff and comfortable to enable me to carry heavy loads even in a 2/3 hours approach track. Thank you very much in advance for your opinion!

      Hiya, I think it's a bit too heavy for alpine / long approach type stuff, it's not what I'd use personally.

    Just got mine (50). Love it. Started to look for reviews and found yours. Here's my question: Where the heck am I suppose to clip on the two straps for the little blue rain tarp? I can't seem to figure it out.

      There's kind of daisy chain straps running down the front of the pack, you clip the rain cover straps in to that 👊

    Great review! When you go abroad with it can you take it as carry on och do check it in as an extra bag?

    • @JBMountainSkills
      @JBMountainSkills  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It would have to be checked in I think, it's a beast!

    Toss up between this or the crag 40. For the next few years I can't see myself doing anything bar sport.. Don't mind a gear review nice one jez

      The Creek 50 is a beast, I also love my Blue Ice Octopus (on offer at Outside I think) and there's a new Blue Ice out soon, the Moonlight, which is going to be great I think.

    Awesome bag, picked one up at V12 last summer, it just swallows kit.

      The question the is - does it spit it back whey you need it? 🙈

      In 1992 I bought a Berghaus Cyclops ROC, it's still just about going, but has been taking a beating and in getting very old. I will cry the day I finally need to replace it. I've not really know what would be bomber enough. Maybe this Creek 50 is the one I should consider to replace it when that day comes soon.

    Im looking for a backpack to get all my climbing gear including food and other clothes to climbing locations.
    Any other recommendations or is the creek50 the way to go?

      I use a Blue Ice Moonlight 55 these days. I prefer it but very similar. I’ve done a review on that too. I’d be happy with either, both v good.

      @@JBMountainSkills thanks for your answer. The Black Diamond is 20 € (~20 bucks) cheaper here in germany and it looks a little bit better for me. The blue ice looks more comfortable to wear. So i have to make a decision. 🫣

    Got the bag in both 50 and 35 - it’s the absolute dogs ( tend to use the 35 more) so much so that that old copycat Charley Fell got one as well 😂😂😂😂
