Heatwave kills at least 41 in India's eastern Odisha

    A heatwave in India has led to at least 41 deaths in the eastern state of Odisha this summer, with at least eight deaths over the past weekend.
    Health officials there said that a total of 159 suspected sun stroke deaths have been reported just in Odisha this summer saying, that in 41 of those cases, sun stroke was confirmed as the cause of death.
    India's capital region Delhi has already recorded its highest-ever temperature at 49.9 degrees Celsius this summer, and the country has seen some 25,000 cases and 56 fatalities from suspected heat strokes from March to May according to a local media source.
