I wish we would not have to apoplogize for the state of our houses. First it is also question of privilege to be able to always have your space clean, decorated and pretty. Second we dont know why it might not be clean. Since my dad passed away this year it is hard to even get out of bed in the morning and every chore feels like a mountain to climb. I also have cockatiels and they are the stars of my life, but they indeed are messy and you could clean everyday haha.
So thank you for your honesty, it is refreshing to see some relatable, realistic homes.
The cinnamon scrolls look so good!!!! Tysm for sharing this, my house is an absolute mess and I really need some cleaning motivation. It’s usually not good because of my chronic illness but it’s worse than normal. I promise yours isn’t that bad! Some people are just judgemental

Oh girl, flaunt your house, I'm honestly so tired of seeing videos of people with these huge perfect modern houses, people moving into these 50 story skyline city view apartments or 5 bedroom 2 story super modern houses, like no. I'm Australian and I've bought myself a house in the last year and it's an older house and I just want to see more REAL houses like that, Decorating OLDER houses, even vlogs of people just living in their not super duper modern houses. I love it when I see realistic videos and not the fake, perfect, rich videos, honestly it makes it so relatable and more nurturing to the soul haha

Hello I just wanted to say please don’t be ashamed of your messy house or the fact that it’s not all shiny and new your real and relatable lifestyle and home is what drew me to your account!!! It’s so real and honest and relatable ❤❤❤
I usually feel like I can’t relate to a lot of TH-camrs because their houses are perfectly clean and aesthetic and it low key makes me feel bad sometimes. I still live with my mum and we’re besties and we live in an old Queenslander which I’m low key starting to really appreciate my childhood home but we have the same chronic health issues so house work really gets on top of us. You can’t even sit in the lounge room, it’s that packed full of junk which we need to go through but we have to wait for us both to have a good fibro day before we can do anything. We have an outside area which is still inside and it’s concrete and it’s always dirty too. When I was a kid, the house was fine and clean but as we got older and our health issues started, it’s gotten to the point where it’s becoming a hoarder house and we have no idea where to start. Thank you for being vulnerable and relatable. 🫶🏻

Honestly your house doesn’t look bad at all idk why people were hating. Yes a lot of influencers have like modern, all-white apartments/houses but that doesn’t mean everyone’s home is like that. And when I visit people’s places so many apologise for the mess but most of the time it isn’t even bad, they just LIVE there which is the whole point😂
But my mom is a big hoarder and we have so many birds, chinchillas and had rabbits too and 2 cats and a dog. So I am used to that house being a huge mess and our garage is the worst. Literally never been able to fit both cars in, even having one car fit was lucky but that is no longer the case.
Also I actually like cleaning windows😂and hanging up laundry but only fun if it is outside on a nice day. It just feels so good to be outside
And those new curtains in the lounge look so good!! 😍

My husband and I lived in a ‘granny flat’ (shed) at my parent’s house before we got engaged and while we saved to buy a house. I felt the same way about it as you do. I was super grateful we had a place that was affordable and was warm and safe, and it was nothing fancy by any means. But because of that opportunity, we bought a nice 4 bedroom house of our own, that we wouldn’t have been able to do if we didn’t live in the shed. Don’t be embarrassed. Your subscribers who follow you for your authenticity and content will understand and watch your vids regardless ☺️🩷

Hi shelly i know you don't make bird videos anymore but something terrible happened to my cockatiel he flew away. I put him near a door and my cousin opened his cage and took him out my other cousin opened the door and i was in my room knowing non of that as soon as she opened the door he flew away and when i knew he was gone i tried to find him searched high and low. But i can't find him he is gone. But other news is about my other cockatiel ( i have two birds) he was extremely sad by his look and cried with me knowing i can't do anything please suggest me what should i do ? I don't want to my other cockatiel too because of my mistakes😢

unfortunately we can't paint with birds in the house as it's lethal to them and they have nowhere to go at the moment so, no painting for now! the curtains have cleaned up the area though, it's so much nicer!!

I have my white face cinnamon " Eddie " in my lounge room to..raised him and he is 10 now..love him heaps..I finally tried the mesh cover on the bottom and it's actually helping with Eddie's mess. Your birds are beautiful
