I forgot the reason why Changbin and Seungmin were not at the ending scene. 😅
In 2020, MNET asked Stray Kids to perform at the MAMA awards, even though SKZ was not nominated for any awards. MNET asked them for purely selfish reasons......they wanted the publicity SKZ could bring to a new project MNET was working on, a K-pop competition show called Kingdom: Legendary War. The awards show was publicity conduit for the competition show and it drummed up a lot of interest.
At the 2020 MAMAs, despite not being nominated for any awards, Stray Kids decided to BLOW THE ROOF off and did a spectacular performance of an older song of theirs called Victory Song. They re-worked it to give it a SPARTA / 300 theme, with swords and all. At the end of their performance, Hyunjin grabbed the "crown" off a pedestal and stared at the camera.
Later, Stray Kids were actually asked to compete at Kingdom......and they ended up winning the crown. So Hyunjin's action at the MAMA awards months before was rather prophetic.
At Kingdom, 6 groups (Stray Kids, ATEEZ, BtoB, SF9, The BOYZ, IKON) competed against each other in singing, dancing, rapping and overall concept of each performance. The judging / scoring system was complex. The judges were mostly, if not all, other artists within the K-pop / Korean entertainment industries.The viewing audience was also allowed to cast votes, and those were factored into the scores as well.
For each performance, the groups were given an overall theme, such as......re-work one of your own songs / performances into something new........or........do a cover of a song by one of the OTHER groups competing at Kingdom (for instance, Stray Kids did a cover of one of BtoB's songs).....and other themes. They had a budget for each performance, which was supposed to cover any set pieces they needed to construct, as well as any other props.
SKZ's opening performance of their own song, MIROH, was the ONLY time the audience saw Hyunjin performing at Kingdom, because immediately after that performance, JYP forced Hyunjin to go on hiatus (during which he was not allowed to perform or promote with SKZ at all, even after Kingdom was over) for months because someone accused Hyunjin of bullying them many years before. So SKZ were without Hyunjin for the entire rest of the competition.
Meaning, they had to re-distribute his singing parts to other members on certain songs, rework their ideas for choreo, etc because of his forced absence.
During the competition, there were also three collabs for vocals, rapping and dancing - one team of 3 groups (ATEEZ, BtoB and Stray Kids) banded together to compete against the other team of 3 groups (The BOYZ, SF9 and IKON).
Also during Kingdom, some original songs were written/performed specifically for that competition. Example: Stray Kids wrote and performed a brand new song called "Wolfgang".
Each team was graded after each performance, and then their scores were posted on charts for all to see. Their position on the charts fluctuated up and down according to their scores each time. At the end, the scores were tallied up, and Stray Kids won.
During all of the performances, the other teams could see pretty much everything, so that's why in some of the performance videos from Kingdom, you can see the other teams reacting.

The three dancers you saw at the end of the video you reacted to are Hyunjin from Stray Kids, Juyeon from the BOYZ, and San from ATEEZ. That special stage was called "Triangular Fight." (Not sure if that's the official name for it, but that's what a lot of people called it.) As you read above, THE BOYZ and ATEEZ were also asked to compete at Kingdom, so that special stage at the 2020 MAMA Awards was also part of MNet's publicity campaign for Kingdom.
Mama 2020 was during covid so no audience. It was a Greek God theme and stray kids was Ares the good of war, ateez was Hades, and the boyz were Helios i believe but some people say Zuse. Stray kids were angry because they were expected to perform last minute, were not allowed to use any new songs and i think it had to be a B-side, and were not even nominated or awarded anything that year by MAMA but expected to open for them. This great performance was a slap in MAMAs face on their own stage, hence changbins line by the throne. This was a prelude/announment for kingdom which all 3 groups were in that performed and im still sad that hyunjin opened for it and was their rep for the triangular fight but only did one performance and then was put on hiatus. All in all everything turned out well for everyone and i think all there groups had a great experience.
We don’t know that SKZ thought about the situation. The members only said that they were supposed to prepare last minute because Mnet invaded them last minute, but they were not mad just exhausted. They chooses b-side because Victory song just fit better for Kingdom. Every group could choose any song. Yes, they had no nomination and Mama used them to promote their new show, so Stays were mad.
@@zzz7103 , they were angry as in they had something to prove and you could tell it from their performance. 2020 was their breakout year, Gods Menu went viral, the album was a huge success and they did not get one nomninaiton. From what I can remember reading, no they could not choose any song or at least not one from their current album which at the time was Go Live.

MAMA usually happens at the end of the year, so there was Covid already, unfortunately. 😥
There weren't any people present at the venue, and most of the performances were pre-recorded.
What makes this performance special is that Skz didn't get any nominations, and were especially fired up/angry.
Their concept was Spartan (Greek) warriors, and Bangchan "cosplayed" as King Leonidas from the movie _300._

Channie remixes their music for their award shows and such (not all the time, mainly for the bigger ones)! One of the many advantages of having an incredible producer leader! If only all the versions were available for streaming haha I always love the live versions!

Thank you so much. You are almost there. The thing about the guide you watched didn't mention that when Stray Kids debut they debuted with 9 members. The guy you said was Seungmin, was actually the 9th member Woojin. He left the group in Oct 2019. This video was before he left. So any videos out before Oct 2019 will have Woojin in them. He was their lead vocalist at the time but left due to personal reasons caused by false rumors from someone and of a sexual nature. He is not a solo idol under SM entertainment.
The live performance was on the MAMA had no audience since it was at the tail end of Covid. There were restrictions they had to follow still at that time of the performance. The one thing I loved about the original performance video and the practice. Is no one ever sees that when Changbin comes out the first time to rap his verse is behind him Woojin twirls Felix. You can see it in their first live show champion performance.. ADDING: While the MAMA was a live performance the song was remixed to fit the upcoming Kingdom show that stray kids were announced to be participating in and the announcement was made during the 2020 MAMA awards. Ateez also performed at the 2020 MAMA awards in their Kingdom concept and so did The Boyz on the MAMA 2020 awards. The Boyz participated and won the first Kingdom in 2020 and returned to the 2021 Kingdom to compete to keep their crown. Sadly there has been no more kingdom show since Stray Kids won in 2021 Legendary Kingdom. I love the name of the show because they had some legendary groups and performances. The best thing to watch in 2021.

5:40 The guy on the left is Woojin, the member that left the group in 2019. You can’t see Changbin or Seungmin in that shot.
I was too excited with just the thought that I might have gotten them all right, so didn't event realise there's only 7 in the shot and one is an unknown member to me.. 😬😬😂

I actually know the whole story because a lovely stay emailed me the details the other day and after I did my own research... However I filmed this video more than a week ago so still had no idea clue 😬

The MV is not so crazy also because it's a b-side. I don't know if you noticed but while Changbin rap at the front, Woojin spinning Felix at the back (1:54 in the dance practice video 8:15 here). Why they did it here, no one notices it lol.
They often perform with remixes of their songs on the music shows. S-class for VMA was not the original one too.
Chan knows fans love his abs and I think he is really entertained by reaction but he cringing a lot while showing it on the concerts. It is sooooo funny. :D
Also with something that can be blocked better to cover all the titles at the corners (I mean MAMA and Mnet in this particular video), people believe that it helps?? It can be wrong, I'm not a youtuber, just noticed it.
But this particular performance may be not blocked because it's not existing in the official channel (and that's why quality is bad). Mnet's channel was hacked and a lot of vids was deleted, including this one T^T.
P.S. if you haven't watched their performance on K-Wave perhaps you can react to it? I love it because 1. in this one their live voices are heard really well, 2. it looks like they all decided to growl in God's menu lol. Maybe even better to watch ot8 fancam, I think bgm is louder in the official video.

Most people on these type of channels react without any prior knowledge to the thing they're watching. If a reactor would study these things beforehand, that would very much so defeat the purpose of a reaction channel.
