Hope? That’s why I have a real problem with “manipulation” in relationships (and TF push/pull, too). When I’m told to “walk away” SO THAT THE OTHER PERSON WILL MISS ME -- I consider that false and manipulative. I haven’t been around a very special person in 35 years. I miss them every single day, and “the space between us” hasn’t brought them any closer to me.
